Great family Ski Trip

We enjoyed our stay at Donner Dayz. The hot tub was a highlight, and the owners were quickly responsive to every request. The kitchen was well stocked for our family dinners, and we loved waking up to the beautiful views from the living room. We hope to come back again!

One of top stays ever in Tahoe

Owner called me prior to trip— very personable. I asked if they had kid-friendly plates and he said he’ll get them shipped for us!! Wow what amazing service, beyond what was expected. Super well stocked with everything needed. Clean and beds so comfortable. Zero issues. Only thing would be to have more USB plugs? Very quiet and sound proof. Sleds in garage and played in backyard. Wished we used hot tub! Roads well plowed. Can’t wait to go back!

John is very responsive and try to meet our needs. He even delivered a new kettle during our stay after I ask him if he happen to have one. Comfortable cabin with many supplies. Well maintained hot tub.

A family favorite!

We have stayed at several different cabins in the Donner area. This cabin was by far the best! From the view, the floor plan, sleep options, and the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

Beautiful place and beautiful location

This cabin was so beautiful and well stocked! We had everything we needed for making our own meals for our group of 8 women celebrating a special birthday together. The hot tub was exquisitely clean… the cleanest I’ve experienced in a rental property. The location was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Thanks John and family for going out of your way to welcome us in your house!

Amazing place! 10/10

We had an amazing stay! The home offered beautiful views, all the amenities you could ask for, ample space for large groups, top-notch safety features, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking scenery. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the spacious layout allowed everyone to have their own space. We felt secure with the advanced security measures in place. The kids had a blast exploring the outdoor space and using the available lake toys. We were able to unwind and recharge in the peaceful surroundings. The host even included toiletries in case we forgot our own, and device chargers to borrow as needed. Our stay was truly unforgettable.

Beautiful home and location

Group of 6 friends stayed the weekend. The two masters worked well for the couples and us solo 2 were just fine in the smaller bedrooms. Home is beautiful, super well-stocked, and the views are gorgeous. Jacuzzi tub was plenty big for all of us to be inside at the same time as well. Host John was super friendly and communicative and went over the top to make sure we were accomodated. Would gladly stay at the property again.

Repeat customers satisfied again!

We loved this place so much that we booked it again for our friends and family trip. John was very communicative and ensured we had everything we needed to make our 4 night stay comfortable. The house is clean and well maintained. It’s also a very convenient distance to Sugar Bowl and is in a great neighborhood with a pub nearby that serves great food. This is the place to be!

The owner/host, John, was very accommodating and easy to work with. He checked in,via text, to see how our stay was going, more than once. The home easily accommodated the 9 of us and there were all the amenities. John was easygoing as to when we checked in and when we checked out. We would love to stay here again!

Lovely cabin, amazing host!

We loved our stay at the Donner Dayz cabin. Check-in was a breeze, and communications with the host were prompt and enjoyable. The cabin is loaded with everything you could need - extra linens, towels for the hot tub, grill, fully stocked kitchen with tons of cookware, even a fully stocked pantry! The Roomba was on the fritz during our stay, but I'm sure that will be resolved, and it will be great to be able to set it to clean up while out for the day.

A wonderful place to stay at Donner Lake

A beautifully outfitted home in a quiet location with a great view of Donner Lake from a large deck with hot tub. It is very well supplied and perfect for someone with mobility issues. The first floor has a large communal area and well stocked kitchen as well as a very nice bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The lower level has a lovely primary suite with ensuite bathroom and two small bedrooms plus bath with a deck as well. It's our second stay and we will try to come back again.

Great week

We had a great week staying in this cabin. It was so comfortable for our whole family. I loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. It was clean, and well stocked as well. The owner was great to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely stay here again.

Great place

Wonderful place for extended family including my elderly father who uses a walker. Helpful communications with the owner. Well-stocked kitchen came in handy when we limited our driving due to heavy snow.

Great location, fantastic house!

Rented this house for a ski trip to Palisades. Location was ideal, about 30 minute drive from the resort, and the views from the house are very pretty. Kitchen was well supplied and stocked with any pot, pan, or other cooking tool we could have needed during our stay. Probably one of the best appointed kitchens we have ever rented! The saltwater hot tub is an absolute joy after a day on the slopes. We had a hiccup on our second to last night; the washer in the garage activated in the middle of the night and flooded the garage and damaged the heating unit for the house. John, the homeowner, was extremely communicative throughout the entire process and very gracious. All and all, this was a fantastic rental. Highly recommend it!

Lovely hillside setting with Mountain View’s and lake peeks

Lovely spacious home to fit my family, father, and caretaker. Very well supplied and easy to communicate with owners. Fingers crossed that hot tub is repaired with pump for the next booking.😔 we lucked out with the most fantastic weather- go at this time of year!

Beautiful Home

This house is beautifully decorated and is very well stocked with everything you need. The dining room accommodated a large family dinner. We enjoyed taking the kayaks and paddle boards out on Fallen Leaf Lake. Sadly 3 days were too smoky from the forest fires to spend much time outdoors, but we still enjoyed playing games in the house. John was very responsive to the few questions we had. Overall it was a wonderful family trip. Thank you John for sharing your lovely home.

Great Donner House!

Big house, lots of room to enjoy. The kitchen/great room was fantastic. Really enjoyed the two different levels. We had two families there, and it was more than enough room from each to get their own space as needed. Super well stocked kitchen, awesome deck, and cool view of the lake and valley. 15-20 minutes from downtown. Cool hiking trailheads within walking distance. Highly recommend staying here, we would welcome an opportunity to stay hear again.
