Old school Tahoe which i love. Property needed a little love. Only real issue is the road noise which is to be expected given the location.

Having the Truckee literally outside the back door was wonderful! Great for the ambiance and fishing.Beds were comfy. Towels OK - a little on the small side. Needs more plastic glasses, or tall water glasses.Could not find plastic wrap or foil.Road noise was more than we expected, but quieter at night.In all, though, we had a very relaxing time.

Pros: cabin was beautifully created. How the bedrooms were designed fantastic. Hot tub and sauna were perfect. The scenery was gorgeous. Will definitely c I me back. All items towels hair products soaps all provided. Cons who ever cleans the home is not doing the job. I own a cleaning company and this home had a lot of dust on shelves. Base boards need deep clean as well as other parts of the home. Call me im available. The outside needed to be blown off cobwebs on windows outside . Willing to trade of all work . The property had no power when we arrived little after 6pm. The host was unavailable after 5pm according to the automated message. Obviously could not stay and had to find a last minute accommodation elsewhere. Messaged the host explaining the issue and next day the host replied that the power outage is beyond their control and (of course. is it ever?) and they refused to issue ANY refund. The property itself is also not in a good location, next to a BUSY road. I wouldn’t recommend anyone I know to stay here.

The power outage affected the entire West Shore and was in the hands of the local utility, though we understand that context does little to ease the frustration of arriving to a home without power. A full refund has since been issued for your reservation, and your feedback regarding availability and the surrounding area has been shared with the team responsible for the home. The cabin was clean and accurately described. It was right on the river. We did have to walk through tall weeds to get to the river but we made a path. The propane ran out on the fire pit on the second night. We went and bought more. That’s a very cool feature. Only had 3 adult size glasses and 2 were plastic. There is no ice maker as stated in property details. We made ice with the ice trays provided. The cabin is very cool old school style. 3 bedrooms all with their own bathroom. Large dining and living area. Kitchen is good size with plenty of counter space. My only complaint is how close highway 89 is to the cabin. I have hearing sensitivity and the road noise started to bother me. However, it did not bother my kids and their wives.

Lovely cabin

This cabin exceeded our expectations! On our last day there was snowfall, which made the experience extra special—especially since it was our kids’ first time ever seeing snow. The cabin was warm, inviting, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Waking up to snow-covered views and watching the kids play outside was pure magic. We made memories we’ll cherish forever and can’t wait to come back! Many thanks from Maui.

Winter escape

Cute and easily accessible home just outside ski resort area and Truckee. Quick access to Lake Tahoe. Hot tub was super, especially during the sudden snowstorm that left us with over 14 inches of snow overnight. Great experience, would recommend and stay again!

My husband, pups and I had a wonderful relaxing vacation at Riversong Lodge in May. The home is very comfortable with the large dining area and family room, Master Bedroom and Queen Bedroom upstairs and another King bedroom downstairs, bathrooms on both floors. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook. The back deck is huge, steps to the river and has amazing views. We enjoyed both the hot tub and sauna. The two upstairs bedrooms are on opposite sides of the cabin with separate staircases. They are loft rooms but no one can really see you in them unless you wanted to be seen. The property is right off highway 89 so you do hear cars during the day when outside but its easily drowned out by sound of the river. The cabin and views are so nice, I hardly noticed. The wifi worked great although I spent much of my time enjoying the deck and unplugging. All in all, we had a great time and hope to go back again one of these days.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay with three generations of family for a week in July. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The location was stunning, the Truckee River was incredible and just steps off of the deck. We had an amazing vacation and really didn't need to leave the property (we did of course)! The highway traffic does get loud, but settles down in the evening. The evening breeze kept the house cool all day. Thank you for a memorable week!

This property has all the potential to be amazing. The house is a nice, rustic cabin that is very comfortable, includes a well-provisioned kitchen and is beautifully positioned along the Truckee River - its best feature. That said, the overall quality and condition of the home is significantly lacking, particularly relative to the photos presented and the price paid. We encountered the following: a broken toilet seat in the primary bed/bathroom (a literal PITA), a backdoor knob so loose/wobbly that failure seemed imminent (not a great feeling when guests are presumably responsible for 'damage'), the hot tub/spa was dirty and unuseable due to the many broken and/or missing knobs that prevented any adjustment of the jets - which were non-existent on most of the seating positions. The wrap-around deck, while beautiful, is janky at best, with sloping sections ready to fail and raised boards and screwheads providing trip hazards in many places. More than half of the windows either don't open or simply fall out of the frames when they do, water runs out of the valves in the downtown shower when in use, and there are uneven/sloped floors in several rooms. Regarding conveniene items, etc., the fireplace is not in use, the icemaker in the fridge barely worked and there was no power cord for the DVD player, rendering it useless. Overall, we had a nice time and I want to love this place but we were very dissapointed in the overall quality & condition, particularly relative to price.

Palisades ski trip

My partner, dog and I drove up to ski a few days at palisades. While the weather was unkind to us, the home offered plenty to keep us occupied for the inclimate weather. The sauna and hot tub were amazing after a day of skiing and felt like our own personal spa, along with countless board games and card games to enjoy. The home is so cozy and spacious and well stocked with essentials. Also less than 10 minutes to the ski resort! The only downside I can think of is the noise of traffic because you are right off the main road, but nothing at all that took away from the experience. l could not recommend this home more and we are hoping to return next time we visit Palisades!
