Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well issues started when we arrived at the house. Received email saying the dishwasher door wouldn’t close send repair person Monday. Will list them.1. Air conditioner thermostat was set on 75, was 78 in house. Called them said would get someone next day to check. Over night it would go down to 72! They couldn’t fine and think wrong. Said would get air conditioner person to come out it was Tuesday I think. He said was old. Called office Nina said it was hot and humid and pretty much said live with it. Was around 76 in beach house every day. 2. Sewage was flowing on left side of house .3. Dishwasher was fixed we thought but smelled bad and didn’t clean dishes.4. Exhaust fan didn’t work it bathroom. And cover fell off. On one.5. Refrigerator temp was 13 in freezer and 43 inside unit when we got there. We been there many years and never had this many issues! I know you all will not follow up this and office lady didn’t seem to care.

Gems by the Sea: Last week of March 2024

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was as lovely as ever. We've been coming off-and-on for 20 years. It's my absolute happy place. The house was great. Only one thing I'd change - a slightly wider driveway, making entry and exit with the golf cart easier. But otherwise, our experience and the house couldn't have been better

Pleasant week

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the first time at Gems by the Sea but second visit to Martinique. We love Martinique. We were pleasantly surprised with Gems by the Sea specifically the fact that the main living areas had been repainted and new furniture/decorations were updated. We loved the porch area and the two golf carts. The house is approximately 1/2 mile from the beach so the carts were perfect for getting to/from the beach. Nice decor throughout house; kitchen well stocked; many beach toys/utensils There were a couple of things that need to be addressed. The house was not really clean upon our arrival. There was noticeable hair, dirt, dust, and sand on the floors. Guest bathroom needed recleaning. The carpets in the bedrooms was very worn and dirty. Replacing the carpet with a different flooring would improve the cleanliness as well as decor of the house. Parking was an issue. We had a suburban and a tahoe and fitting the two vehicles in the allotted area was difficult. Bikes were a nice touch but bikes had issues with the chain on one bike and the tire on the other bike. Maintenance was contacted but the man stated that it would be a week or so before it could be fixed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay. The house was beautifully decorated and the house was perfectly set up for our family. Only 2 minor issues, which would not sway from staying here, one of the golf carts was in need of repairs, we could not really use it, and the other small issue, for a family of 6 two rolls of toilet paper did not go far. Overall this was a great vacation and would stay here again.

Thanksgiving at Martinique on the Gulf

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We originally had a five bedroom house, but because of the hurricane, eventually switched to two single homes. Both were well appointed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.I have one complaint. Having checked several times to be sure there would be no construction in the two houses we eventually rented, upon arrival we realized that the screened in porch and one of the properties did not have a door and desperately needed screens. We stayed there for days before this was completed, while having workmen there while we were there.Having inquired several times to be certain that this would happen, I was very disappointed. Since we are trying to stay outside and keep germs at a limit, the use of this porch became very important. There is also a large piece of equipment left on the porch which meant the young ones couldn’t even go out there at all. No compensation whatsoever was offered. Disappointing

Awesome stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Awesome stay at Gems By The Sea. It was perfect four the five of us but could have easily slept 7. Our family has been coming to the Martinique for over 15 years and it is always the picture perfect getaway. The home was super cozy and the beds were very comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen and two golf carts were an added bonus. The screened in patio was perfect to enjoy a cup of coffee during the rainstorms we had from hurricane Hannah. As always the grounds were pristine and all the beautiful foliage makes you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. We felt safe with the covid 19 precautions in place even at the pools. More wonderful memories were made!

When we walk thru the door we feel like we are at home. We love alot of tge updates to the kit hen and also the curtains and accessories are beautifully done. Addition of appliances in kitchen a great addition. The one major thing I would replace carpet with in the bedrooms is hardwood floors.I think it would put it over the top gorgeous.
