It needed to be ckeaned. Floors were nasty dishwasher had not been tun and lots of ants inside which I’m sure is due to the pine needle mulch. Mildew on patio Just wasn’t very clean

My Stay

Nice escape from day to day life

I stayed here with my parents and brother and the family dog. It was very peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. The golf cart provided made getting to the beach access so easy. The house is very comfortable and accommodating but it does seem that some things need to be replaced and updated. Just a little old and worn in places. Still overall a wonderful experience. And we appreciate the opportunity to stay here! Thank you!

Makeover Needed

Second Wind is in need of a makeover. You can justify one or two things in need of attention but when it becomes a list that is another thing. Yes, it was clean. Yes, it is a good location. The house was minimally equipped with plastic and cracking kitchenware, lumpy mattresses, outdated decor, rusted and missing door stops, clogged sink, ceiling fan that sounded like a jet engine, broken window seal, rusty outdoor table…you get the idea. Management was responsive to needs but I hope the owner gives Second Wind the refresh it deserves.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great beach and beach access. Pools were also nice. House needs deep cleaning. There were roaches and carpet dirty. Screened in patio was do dirt could not use. BBQ grill on patio rusted out and VERY dirty. Other renters used as grease leaked on patio floor.

We Caught our Breath at Second Wind!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second visit to Second Wind at Martinique on the Gulf. This time we spent two months and were quick to sign up for two months next year. We had a wonderful time even though the weather was not as favorable as last year. We met many friendly neighbors, both owners and Snowbirds like ourselves. Martinique provides two large clubhouses and pools. While the one pool was being renovated, the other clubhouse featured a indoor-outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. The rental office was kind enough to provide weekly coffee and donuts, a Superbowl party, organize a golf cart Mardi Gras parade and a farewell ice cream social. Social activities included: water yoga, a book club, and "Geezers at the Gazebo." Overall, it was a wonderful relaxing time.

Sunrise properties Is a joke.

I got a 2 tickets by rent a cops as soon as I arrived for having a boat in the neighborhood even tho there aren't any signs saying no boats nor does it say there aren't any boats allowed on the online listing thru Vrbo. I was harassed by sunrise properties a lot to pay the bogus tickets which I still refuse to pay. Then my kids cell phone was accidentally left and I went back to get it. It was gone so I tracked it for 2 days and it went to multiple condos so I guess the cleaning person took it. Tried to call sunrise properties to let them know. They don't care that their cleaners are theirs. The security guard at the phoinex west did more to help me when the location pinged there bc the cleaning lady went there the next day. Still never got it and screw that place. I rent houses regularly in fort Morgan to take my boat and fish and this neighborhood is awful.

We regret the issues you had with your stay. Sunset Properties did take care of the tickets. We suggest in the future calling the management company ahead of time to find out rules and regulations. We did reach out to housekeeping and no one reported finding a phone. If one of the cleaners took the phone, Sunset Properties is unaware and unable to present proof of the fact. Be assured, this is not the experience we want for any of our guests.

Overall, we had a very good stay. The location was excellent, check-in was easy, and communication before, during, and after our trip was outstanding. The house was perfect for our group, with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, comfortable living areas, and the golf cart was a great bonus. We also preferred the smaller neighborhood pool over the crowded and much hotter main pool.Sunset Properties was terrific when Martinique security issued us a 50 parking violation. They went to bat for us because we believe our vehicle was properly tagged and parked.Our concerns were mostly annoyances, not major problems. The mosquitoes around the downstairs entrance were easily solved with a plug-in repellent, but ants were an ongoing issue. We saw both carpenter and fire ants upstairs and downstairs almost daily. The bait worked, but the house needs a thorough extermination.The floors also need attention. The home looked clean, but after walking barefoot our socks and feet were black. Finally, the garbage disposal was jammed with a small piece of metal. I removed it myself, and it worked fine afterward. It was an easy fix, but I was surprised it wasn't caught during cleaning.There were a few other minor maintenance items, but none affected our vacation. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives.

Fort Morgan

Great spot. Would definitely go back. Would recommend a complete list of helpful hints and directions. There were a lot of things we had questions about. Response time from contact was good.

Great family vacation!

The house was very nice, roomy and comfortable for our party of 7 (2 families sharing). The kitchen was well stocked. The resort pools and golf cart were great to keep everyone occupied when we needed a break from the sun. We really enjoyed it. Thanks for your hospitality!
