Welcome to Hakuna Matata Vacation Villa !!! You will feel the tranquility stepping into this professionally decorated 5 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath two story villa in the prestigious gated community of Highgate Park off of Legacy Park. The villa is located just 9 miles from Disney and a short drive from downtown Orlando and the Orlando airport. Our villa features an incredible oversized SOUTH facing pool and spa hot tub with gorgeous sunset views. An 55" tv has been added to the outdoor pool deck. Highgate Park boasts a private tennis court, playground for the kids, close shopping, restaurants, and is located ONLY MINUTES TO DISNEY!!!
This villa features three incredible master suites. There are two master queen suites situated on the main floor, one with walkout doors to the pool deck, and each with their own 4 piece bathroom, 32" flat screens T.V's with cable and new top quality mattresses. Excellent for Seniors or those who are unable to do stairs. Also plenty of room for your large party, currently sleeps 14 in beds!
The master suite situated on the second floor features a King sized bed, sitting area, 32" LED flat screen T.V with cable and an oversized 4 piece bathroom, relaxing Roman soaking tub, double vanities, large shower and walk in closet.
There are two more bedrooms on the second floor, each with a twin bed as well as a twin over double bunk beds, and a shared 4 piece bathroom. One of these rooms is Disney-themed for the kids! Finishing off the second story is a cozy sitting area with couch, TV with cable as well as a DVD player.
Back down on the main level you'll find a formal sitting room and dining room with a convenient 2 piece bathroom.
The main family room has a huge H.D flatscreen TV, cable and patio doors that give an incredible view of the oversized private pool and spa. Step out to the patio and you'll find a BBQ for your use. The lanai is equipped with an outdoor ceiling fan to help beat the heat in the all day sun while relaxing in the provided patio furniture. An outside shower is provided to rinse off before relaxing in the pool or spa.
Back inside you'll see the fully equipped kitchen, including a Keurig coffee maker. A breakfast bar that seats three, perfect for conversation while preparing a meal.
Enjoy your meal in the second dining area while looking at the view of the pool area and sunsets.
In the garage you will find a games room with full sized pool table, foosball and an electronic dart board as well as a video game PlayStation console! Laundry is located in the garage closet for your convenience.
There is a highchair, strollers and also a portable play pen for those travelling with your little ones.
Hakuna Matata is also equipped with free high-speed WiFi. This home has everything you could possibly be looking for and more!!! There's no better place to stay during your Orlando trip!

Family Stay

Property was great! Kids had a wonderful time in the pool! Owner responded very quickly to all of our questions! Would highly recommend!

Family vacation

We had a fantastic time, the house was in a great location. The pool was nice, we had some trouble getting the heat to work, but we were still able to enjoy it!! Lots of room for our whole family to be together and still have our own space!

Nice clean house

We have stayed in several vacation rentals over the years and this was definitely one of the cleanest. Owner and property manager were easy to work with. Good experience.

Outdated and not clean

The house was outdated, Ants by the hundreds in master bedroom and my bedding was dirty.

Latoya, I can assure you there are not ants in the home unless you left food on the floor. We have a thorough pest service that comes each month and we've never before had a complaint about ants. I will speak with the property manager about the bedding but they wash all bedding after each guest visits so I would be shocked if bedding was dirty. And finally, we redecorated two years ago so this is patently false. I'm sorry you were salty about having to pay for pool heat but as I explained to you this is our most expensive bill each month thus the reason for the small additional charge. I hope you have a safe trip home. :-)

Great Location and

My family and I stayed here for a quick weekend get away. We loved this property! The driveway is shaded which was a nice bonus during a very hot summer. The house and pool area were clean and well stocked. Our kids loved the pool and my wife and I enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor tv. The house itself is very spacious and had more than enough room for the four of us and would comfortably fit a much larger family or multiple families! The gameroom was nice and even though it is in the garage it was not uncomfortably hot or stuffy. There is shopping and restaurants within less than 5 min drive. The neighborhood is gated and feels safe, and check in/ out was very easy. The owner was very pleasant and easy to contact. We had a great time and will definitely try to book again in the future.

An Escape to Another World

As we have looked into houses in the Orlando area for years, this is one of the rare finds. Not only is the facility incredible, well-maintained, and a slice of paradise, but the ownership brings a level of service that can't be beat! If you wanted to feel like you are a member of the family, then look no further because Mike and his family welcome you to their home with open arms, great communication, and the best care and concern we have ever seen! This house is definitely going to be our destination anytime we plan a trip to the Orlando area! It meets all of our needs by having an amazing pool, comfortable bedrooms, and plenty of room to relax and lounge. As our one friend said: "With a place like this, who needs those theme parks?" Thanks Mike and family!!

Bed bugs!!!!! Flies everywhere

Hi anyone whose reading this! I stayed there and from the start I had communicated with Mike and told him the house wasn’t cleaned. Carpets needed a cleaning, the stove, the pillows needed to be replaced, those beds do have bed bugs specially the room with bunk bed and a twin bed. I read a previous review of another person stating the bed bugs but because the other review after it didn’t complained I went along with it. Mike does respond fast but he is cutting corners on cleaning and that’s the most important thing to be considering. There were other things there that needed to be replace or cleaned but what I got extremely concerned about was the improper cleaning yet be charge for cleaning fees….. the house itself is big and alot of space the pool is decent size the jacuzzi is a good size but for some reason the water drains low after being inside for awhile. Flies are everywhere specially in front of the garage where the garbage is kept so they will fly inside the house no matter if the door is kept close. Overall because of the bed bugs and poor improper cleaning I would not stay there again because that’s were he cuts corners and all he does is say “sorry”

Maria, The day you checked out we had the beds inspected by a pest company and despite no findings, we still went ahead and replaced the two older twin mattresses as well as placed sealed covers around every mattress in the house to ensure bed bugs can’t possibly be a concern going forward. Our cleaning company usually does a very good job with each clean and aside from some old permanent small carpet stains from irresponsible guests, you didn’t have any specific complaints about the cleaning. When guests pile too much garbage out front it will attract flies but if they are in the house it means you were leaving doors open. I have to say, I’ve rarely encountered such an entitled guest in all my years and some of your complaints about not being allowed to check in early or check out late certainly affected your overall feeling about your stay. I never say this to guests, but please do not stay in our villa again. Your presence is as unwelcome as your unfounded claims.

Excellent stay at this property

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It had everything we needed to make our stay for the week comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, 3 of the 5 bedrooms had en suites so we all had individual bathrooms. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make meals and with a washer/dryer we were able to do laundry during the week making travelling a little lighter. We spent much of our time poolside in the pool and hot tub, and eating/lounging outside. The pool received day time sun, while the covered back deck area provided shade to escape the sun when needed. The property was very quiet and private which was exactly what we were looking for. It was also conveniently located, with a short trip to any of the parks, restaurants or shopping. I would certainly recommend this property and Michael was nothing short of exceptional with communication answering any questions I had before and during our stay!

Snow bird delight

We stayed for 5 weeks in this house. It was as advertised, fantastic pool. Close to a nice little park for the kids. Host was very easy to deal with. We will be back!

I WOULDN'T DO IT IF I WERE YOU! LONG POST ALERT!

The pictures on the site are VERY MISLEADING! The ENTIRE outside needs a complete DEEP pressure washing. The neighborhood is very quiet. The houses are very close together. The street is tight. The host Will have his neighbor watching you. The neighbor parks their personal vehicles in front of the rental property. When you open the door (get there before dark because there's no porch light only garage light), you can see the potential but the host doesn't do his part! He will bribe you with a gift card for a positive review & once you pass the entrance, you'll see why! Arrived on my birthday. Spent my entire birthday at Wal-Mart buying (yes, used my hard earned money) cleaning products, to clean showers, tubs floors & washing bedding until the property manager & The "cleaning crew" came the following morning (we bath every night in my house). The air vents & ceiling fans were filthy! The kitchen & dining area had lizard poop through out as well as sugar bugs & ants. The entire INSIDE needs to be painted. The carpets need to be taken up & replaced. The bedding needs to be replaced. The shower had mold in it (the manager said it was UNDER the corking lol),curtains needs to be replaced. There was blood on the floor carpet & in the upstairs master bedroom. The view from the master bedroom upstairs is of a construction site. The property manger is very prompt but he had to come out twice during out stay; once to reclean & TRY to fix the heat in the spa (unsuccessful) & the next day, still didn't get the heat right. We we're there for 5 days & never got to use the spa. Paid for heat a week in advance but never got it. Requested refund for heat & was told he will give me a full refund AFTER I make a positive post. Still haven't received my money back. The kids enjoyed the pool (what kid doesn't like ANY pool). The first night the spa was scolding hot for a couple of hours after the property manager left but whenever you turn the timer it completely emptied. They expected us to sit with a water hose hanging out of it. It was no light nor railing. Very dangerous. Make sure you bring all your account information to Netflix Hulu & prime video if you want to watch anything besides roku live the because all the tv's have different services. Neither one of the kids room have tv. The place have potential but the host is a nice guy but needs to manage the place better instead off bribing the customers for positive reviews. The reviews are more important

I'm glad you found me to be a nice guy, LOL. I guess that was for allowing you to check in very early free of charge and for trying my VERY best to appease your every demand the entire week. This is just ridiculous Lashun. As I told you multiple times, the pool and hot tub WERE heated and I sent you photos showing it was heated all the way from 76 degrees prior to your arrival to 85 degrees after your arrival! Normal swimming temperature is 80-82 degrees and even you commented that the hot tub was 'scalding' hot, LOL. My neighbor told me that your entire group was in the pool all week and appeared to enjoy it and then you have the audacity to request a refund for the pool heat! Wow. You are correct that the carpets have some stains from irresponsible past guests and the walls in the kitchen could use fresh paint due to nicks from guests. As my property manager explained to you, there was no blood on the floor and the bedding is just fine. Lizard poop? LOL. My kind property manager came out twice for your insane requests and after the second visit his only statement to me was "Promise me you won't have her stay here again!" ...and I couldn't agree more with him. Safe travels home Lashun. :-)

Weekend Getaway on a Budget

We stayed at this home over the weekend as we enjoyed a getaway on a tight budget. We were 6 adults and 3 children (6, 9, & 12). Everyone has a comfortable bed and their own space. We chose this location to be away from the business of Lake Buena Vista while only being 30 mins or less away from all attractions. Community was quiet, access was easy ( a simple gate code), and Owner/Property Manager were very responsive. We highly recommend you give this home a second look.

Vacation 2021 Making Memories

Location was perfect with convenient shopping in minutes.House clean and spacious.Family enjoyed pool which is the largest in all our rentals.Tv on patio was a great addition. I would rent this property again.

Donald, I assure you (again) that there are no bed bugs. I had someone come to inspect that after you messaged and he found nothing and we’ve never had that in 5 years. All the food you left outside did, however, attract bugs to the back patio. As we discussed, there are ample towels for 12-14 guests but not 16. Despite your unfounded complaints, we enjoyed hosting you and it sounds like your large group had a blast.

Nice Place

Check in was very easy. The manager is very nice and responsive. The house was very clean and perfect for our stay. I would recommend this place. 100%

Loved the pool!!! Great place to stay!!

My family stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the pool and spa for most of our stay. We honestly spent most of our time staying in and enjoying the home. What a beautiful place. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own spaces. TVs in every room and even outside on the pool patio. The owner was super responsive and easy to work with. I miss it already and am already planning on coming back and enjoying the house with a few more people.

Great place to stay!

We had the best 5 nights. We are a family of 5 and had more than enough room. The kids were relieved not sharing a room. The pool and hot tub were a big hit. And the tv on the lanai was a nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped with cookware/utensils/both a regular coffee pot and Keurig, toaster, and blender. Internet was stable and fast. Husband and kids watched the smart TVs and were able to use stream without issues. Neighbors were quiet. Neighborhood felt safe. The place was clean and ready for us. Check in was easy. We didn’t have any issues so no need to contact the owner/manager. Easy drive to Disney. Thanks for allowing us to use your beautiful home.

Hakuna Matata

We had a great stay here. Photos were exactly what we walked into. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had as well as flexible. We needed to stay an extra day and he was quick to let us know if it was available. Everything was nice, clean and as described. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious, clean home!

This home fulfilled all our needs and more! It is centrally located and is close to major attractions. The home was very spacious and very clean. The owner was really friendly and accommodating. The entire booking process took less that 3 minutes. I would recommend to anyone.

Great place for large party family

Very nice vacation home. Little upset because Some amenities were not working such us master bathroom jacuzzi and outside spa. Otherwise great location, spacious and clean.

Thank you for the kind review Marcos. 😀� The spa outside actually works just fine but the water level does drop over time which can be remedied by switching it to pool mode, letting the spa fill up again, and then switching it right back to spa mode to continue heating. So I do apologize for that inconvenience but it does work well. As for the jacuzzi in upstairs master suite, we are aware of this recent issue and working with the company to see if we can get the jets repaired without having to replace the entire tub. But it was simply a pleasure hosting you and do please stay with us again if you’ll be in the Orlando area! 😀�

Great vacation house.

We had our annual family vacation at this house. It was the 1st time that we had a pool at our rental house. Great communication with owner and a great time.

The pool and deck area is second to none and the 3 master bedrooms are probably the best part of this home! The kids and I love hanging out in the converted games room in the garage and there's plenty of living space for everyone throughout the rest of the home.
