Property is very large and is as advertised. Full kitchen and washer dryer were great amenities. We never had issues parking, but we were away most days from 7am-4pm. You can hear the live music from the downstairs bar, but it stopped by 9pm.

One Night

Easy check in, and place as described. Would have liked to stay more than 1 day as location looked wonderful and would have been great to explore the area.

We were happy with the rental – B Pl. was clean, convenient to where we needed to be, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, overall it was a good stay. However, the pictures & description on the website were a little misleading. It said the place had been totally renovated, and while renovations were absolutely evident, there were large cracks in the walls in a few places that were not shown in the pictures. Closets in the main bedroom were missing handles and we had to reach under the door to pull it open. The closet in the second bedroom had paint cans and tarps, and such thrown in the bottom of it. There is a wonderful old clawfoot tub, and the only bathroom, but it was difficult to get in and out of. As senior citizens, we would have appreciated a grab bar to help steady us while trying to climb over the sides in and out. The towel bar in the bathroom fell off at the slightest touch, such as hanging a towel on it. Each room had its own air-conditioning, which was nice so you could set your own comfort level; however, one of the AC units was vented out of the window with towels stuffed in the ledge & cracks above and around to catch air leakage from outside. It was a non-smoking building, but there was an ashtray that had been used and dirty on the small balcony outside the kitchen. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but it wasn’t exactly what we thought we were getting when we booked it.

Excellent apartment

This apartment is beautiful! It is well maintained and very spacious! We only stayed 1 night, but I wish we had longer to enjoy the property

Bike race getaway

Stayed the weekend for a bike race at summit point and enjoy the stay with the family. Charming and spacious and well equipped with everything needed. The bar also has great food which was another plus.

Great property in Charles Town! Clean, historic 2 bedroom condo with a lovely outdoor deck- located right above Abolitionist Aleworks! A great place to share a drink and stories with the locals. Conveniently located close to Harper’s Ferry Park and Antietam Battleground.

The apartment was great. The only issue we had was that the bath tub was not completely level and we had trouble keeping the shower curtain from touching us on all sides while we showered.

Great location!

First of all, what better location than over a brewery! We had our friends and their two 20 month old boys with us who were apparently fussy all night but we never heard a thing. The rooms are perfectly spread out and we loved all the doors to close off each specific area. The place was also very clean.

Good civil war touring locatioy

This was a good reasonable place to Stay to see a lot of civil war sites. We could have used a broom and dust pan though. We spilled some coffee and had to clean up with paper towel

The smoke detectors went off everytime you turned the heat on. I was instructed to replace the batteries, then no further response from the property contact.

The apt was excellent in size. The rooms comfortable the kitchen cozy. Everything clean. But the bathroom is in need for a ranovation in fact they looked dirty. The tub is an accident waiting to happen,

Convenient Location - Definitely some quirks though

Location was perfect for us because we were moving around a bit for the 2 days that we were there. So, it was easy to get to Harper's Ferry, Boonsboro MD, Purcellville and Lovettsville. The place is old, so it has some quirks. The floors are noisy, the heaters are in each individual room and honestly a first for me, and we had an issue with the tub draining. So, just make sure you go into this rental understanding that things will not be perfect. If you like the historical aspect of the building, then you'll enjoy it.

Super location and great accommodation!

Wonderful spot!! Booking and check in were quick and easy. The apartment was very spacious and well appointed. What a super cute use of a historic building. The major bonus of the sale works downstairs was fantastic. The beer and food was creative and delicious. The staff was super nice and very helpful. I’ll definitely be going back!!

We had to make contact with the owner for check in instructions the day of arrival. We didn't receive any information ahead of time in order to better plan our day with regards to check in time. We didnt know that the bar had live music in the evenings. We didn't receive any check out instructions.
