What an enchanting place to stay!! This cottage is THE PLACE to stay when you visit New Orleans. Beautiful landscaping, and the inside was decorated and very clean. Had all the essentials we needed. Not a far drive from downtown but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Susan and Eldon are spectacular host! They made sure your stay is comfortable. We definitely plan to stay again!

This cottage was perfect in so many ways. From the host, through the magical garden out side the door, to all the boxes checked with respect to comfort inside. We’ve never experienced this level of quality before.

Susan and Eldon were EXCELLENT hosts! From the beginning, they made us feel very welcomed. Having stocked the fridge and other goodies throughout, really helped us to relax and settle in. This cottage will definitely be out “Go To” home away from home in future visits. Already looking forward to making reservations for our next trip down from PA!

The little guest house in the back was such a delightful, comfortable place stay. Lakeview in New Orleans is a wonderful part of the city. Neighborhood restaurants, businesses and stores. If the French Quarter is not your thing then this quiet oasis is! Not far from City Park or Bucktown for seafood! Susan & Elton know how to make people feel welcome without being intrusive. They really have done a beautiful thing with their home and garden. What a great find!!

We had the most wonderful stay and the cottage had everything we needed. Susan is a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend staying here and I will definitely book again when I’m in the area.

This cottage is exactly what we were looking for. It was so private, quiet and comfortable and everything was very clean. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the hosts are very kind and considerate. We had everything that we needed and will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit New Orleans!

It was a quiet, tranquil place to stay. Our hosts have a beautiful garden to look out on. They were extremely generous and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone, wanting a peaceful and quiet place to stay. The property also was centrally located in a beautiful neighborhood yet away from the busy city. It’s a perfect place to be.

Susan and Eldon were great hosts. We had such a good time exploring the city and coming back to our quiet little cottage and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and plan on coming back and staying here again

This was such an amazing place to stay. I made it my home for a week and it truly felt like home. The friendliness of the hosts, the decor, the welcome refreshments and treats - everything was absolutely perfect. I didn't want to leave.

Our stay was one our best yet! Susan met us upon arrival, though wasn’t necessary as lockbox/keypad instructions were sufficient. Just graciously being friendly. Very responsive to questions and provided all sorts of brochures, local restaurant suggestions, and other amenities. The refreshments for snacks and a light breakfast were a surprise and so helped us in fueling up before heading out for long days. We opted for Uber but next time would try renting a car (parking spot provided.) AC and water pressure were great and very clean! Also had washer/drier plus Netflix options. Very relaxing with patio and living room set up. Such a nice place to relax. It is off the beaten path to main areas but only a 10-15 minute drive, so really a short trek and everything is right there. Neighborhood was very safe and many locals walking the sidewalk. We walked to the lakeshore for dinner. We would definitely come back!

The hosts were delightful and so very accommodating. The accommodations were perfect. Impeccable attention to detail. Lots of delicious local snacks as well as well stocked breakfast items. The beautiful garden was a plus. Best VRBO we have ever stayed in.

This was an exceptionally wonderful location and hosts ! Enjoying evenings in the courtyard and breakfast on the back porch were relaxing and lovely! The house was clean, the kitchen impressively well stocked. The hostess was available and super helpful throughout our stay. This location made our anniversary a truely memorable stay!
