This was a perfect spot for myself and my teenage daughter. We were visiting Tulane and this was so much better than staying in a hotel. The place was clean, quiet, comfortable and in a great location. I could see myself living in this neighborhood. There is a full length mirror which is super important when traveling with a teenager. There was even some dry shampoo which was really cool. The streetcar is very close and definitely worth a ride but it's not a fast way to travel. It was fun riding it all the way to the French Quarter but it did take probably almost an hour each way. I enjoyed the neighborhood we stayed in much more. There are good restaurants within walking distance and we always felt safe. The neighbors are very nice. Lisa was helpful with suggestions. I kind of don't want to tell people how great this place is because I want it to be available next time we come. I will definitely stay here again as we prepare to have a student at Tulane!

Wonderful location for families

This sweet little shotgun style house is perfect for a small family wanting to enjoy the charm of New Orleans away from the downtown scene. The neighbor is so kind and welcoming. She showed us through the house upon arrival and enjoyed visiting with the kids while watching the squirrels eat from the feeders she filled for them. Every other time I’ve come to NOLA, we’ve stayed in or around the French Quarter, but I’m so glad we chose to stay in Uptown.The house was super clean, beds were comfy, and Brad is incredibly responsive. Can’t wait to stay again.

A fantastic stay!

My sister and I live in different states so we met at the airport in New Orleans. This rental was perfect for us. It is in a great neighborhood very close to the St. Charles streetcar route, allowing access to uptown and downtown locations, including the French Quarter. Being a 100 year old shotgun style home, you enter into the living room, followed by the first bedroom, then the kitchen and then another bedroom and finally, the bathroom. The whole house was so bright, clean and sunny and the neighborhood was very quiet. Another nice thing about this place was our neighbor, Lisa. She is the owner’s sister and was so friendly and welcoming. Our conversations with her added to our great experience. While we were there, the shower head failed and we contacted the owner who replaced it that morning while we were out. Very responsive. We had rented a car but the proximity to the streetcar line, made it unnecessary. In all we had a wonderful week’s stay and would love to stay at this place again when we return to New Orleans.

Great Stay

We stayed here overnight to visit New Orleans and we enjoyed our stay! The home was quaint, clean, and was easy to locate. One of the biggest perks was the neighbor next door. She shared very useful tips for where to eat, safety precautions when visiting the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, and was extremely friendly! As someone who is unfamiliar with New Orleans, this was extremely appreciated! Also appreciated the information left by the owner for guides, facemasks, and the extra set of keys if needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Book it!

We were so impressed with the property and with the host. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood and when being in New Orleans we saw a few of the other places we looked at and were so glad we stayed here. We love history and learning about different cultures, we aren't big bars and clubs so this was perfect for us. It is on the end of the streetcar line so it is easy to get places. It was a quiet area and we were there on July 4. Our host was amazing. Brad helped us feel comfortable and answered our texts immediately. He had great suggestions and was friendly. This property and the host were one of the highlights of our trip for sure!

I didn't want to leave!

Wonderfully clean, very charming and comfortable. Rooms are fairly spacious for a small house. Lovely neighborhood. The neighbor (it's a duplex) was super sweet and she moved her car for us so we could park our giant Ford F250 in front of the house. That said: parking is at a premium. You can park in front of the house but if you expect guests they'll have trouble finding a place to park. This house is best for a couple or a family with one or two small children, because the bathroom is tight and it is off the 2nd bedroom in the back, so privacy is an issue if you have more than two adults in the house. We really enjoyed having our coffee on the porch in the morning. We'd definitely stay there again! Highly recommended

Charming shotgun in great neighborhood

This was the perfect home for an extended New Orleans stay. Beautiful neighborhood— convenient to everything, and lots of local restaurants and bars. Home is well furnished with a well-equipped kitchen. Brad and his sister Lisa were very accommodating hosts.

Quaint New Orleans Flair

Nice home with that old world feel to it. Getting there was difficult but the streets are full of potholes, it was like driving off-road 😜 All the amenities you may need stocked. The neighbor happened to be home and was a relative of the owner. She helped us get settled and gave advice on local fare. The only downside if it's important to you is the TV's in the bedrooms only have antenna service. The living room has cable service although I couldn't get it work, it wasn't important. Plenty of hot water in the shower with toiletries. Parking is very limited and if you have two cars you'll be hunting for a second spot. One dedicated spot in front. Overall, good stay for the night before a cruise. Quiet and peaceful.

Peaceful spot in Leonidas

The apartment is very clean, well-maintained and equipped. We loved the neighborhood and the proximity to the streetcar and the shops/restaurants of Oak Street. The neighbors were lovely and the front porch so comfortable for watching all the human and animal residents of the neighborhood. We didn't want to leave and hope to visit again soon. Thank you Brad and Lisa!!

Making new friends

Brad and Lisa were so kind and helpful had quite the mixup with the first Uber at the airport, contacted VRBO and they worked it out for us. Brad was spot on with directions to their rental. Lisa ( his sister) was waiting outside deformed us and drive us to the store to get dinner. The house worked fine and every day was a new adventure in the trolly. Would love to go back some dat (maybe a different time of year)!

Family reunion

We had a wonderful time here, the neighbors were very friendly and came up to say hi as we sat on the front porch drinking our morning coffee or evening wine. The place itself was great! Reminiscent of my grandparents shotgun unit that I visited as a child. The neighborhood was quiet and right off the trolly line. We used it to go to the French Quarter for morning coffee at Cafe du Monde and to see the French Quarter Music Festival. It's quite a senic ride down. There are a number of quaint restaurants within walking distance. Great atmosphere all around! Even had a peacock visit us right in front of our porch. "Pete" put on an impressive display and was one of the highlights of our trip.

Loved this space

Very comfortable space and liked taking the street car wherever we wanted to go. A number of great restaurants less than a mile. Robert's Grocery Store was an easy walk and was well stocked. Owner is great to work with.

Beautiful home

Excellent kept home , wonderful neighbor , very inviting host !! You won’t regret your stay here !! Very short walk to the street car ! And convenient to other places. Felt safe here . Would definitely stay here again .
