Location Amazing

We had a wonderful week long stay. Great location in oak bluffs. Easy process getting over on ferry with our car and bikes.

Great location and house

Great stay at this welcoming home within walking distance to Oak Bluffs restaurants and shopping. Nice layout and deck. Easy check-in and well equipped.

This home was absolutely stunning, even moreso in person if that’s possible. It had so much space and character, a lovely and well equipped kitchen, but I think everyone’s favorite feature was that gorgeous wrap around porch overlooking the ocean! I miss that view already. Each bedroom upstairs also had a deck that you could access through a French door, and we used those areas often! Everything about the house was just so beautiful and relaxing. Our host, Laurie, was wonderful. Very responsive, easy to reach, and the information that she provided about the home itself and about the area was very helpful. She also gave us a great tip about a beach that is normally only accessible to Chilmark residents in season but had just opened up to the public during our stay. It was absolutely stunning! The location of the house was great. Not far from the ferry station in Oak Bluffs, walkable to town, but not right in the thick of it. Also only about a 20-minute drive to Edgartown, and right on the bike path. We saw dozens of people ride by on their bikes to and from Edgartown. It was also only about a 10-12 minute drive to Vineyard Haven. They were six adults in our group and an infant. We all had a wonderful time and highly recommend this very special property.

This house was a very premiere location walking distance from everything there is to do. Communication was very good with the owner. Be prepared to book additional day so you can set up and clean up without feeling rushed. Overall loved the vacation.

The house worked extremely well for us and Laurie was incredibly responsive to any questions we had or help we needed.

Great house

We loved our stay here! The house was beautiful, spotless and a great location. We could walk across the street to the beach or a short walk to OB town. Laurie was so easy to work with. I can’t wait to come back again next year!

The Full Martha’s Vineyard Experience

We arrived for the week to a very clean, organized, and well equipped home. Comfortable beds, large outdoor shower on the deck. No stepping on rocks or sand walking back into the house. Location location, beach across the street and a short walk to downtown Oak Bluffs. We Enjoyed oceans views while relaxing with a morning coffee on the wrap around porch. Amazing vacation ocean vibe.

The house is in a perfect location that allowed our group of adults and kids to easily visit the beach and town without needing a car (though it's helpful to have one to get groceries, etc.). It's beautifully decorated, and I am used to being a bit cramped in houses on MV but this was not the case this time! The outdoor shower made it easy to clean kids up after the beach and we spent most of our evenings on the beautiful deck overlooking the water. We appreciated that the house was well stocked with games and beach towels.

Great Location!

This house was perfect for our long girl's weekend on MV. We were able to walk from the ferry to the property. The view of the water is incredible. Laurie the owner was very responsive to all our requests. There is a small market within walking distance so we were able to get groceries. We rented Ebikes from MV Bike and they delivered them to us. We used the bikes to get around the island for two of the days. What a great way to see the area. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We did need to rent sheets and towels which was in the property description. The kitchen had everything we needed. If we ever come back to the island, we would definitely rent here again. Oak Bluffs was our favorite town and the house was perfect.

Martha's Vineyard

This is a lovely, comfortable, and clean property located right on the water and a short walking distance from shops and restaurants. It has an awesome wrap around porch with ample seating for all.

The location and views are excellent. The main house is well stocked, though showers are limited in the main house (1 shower for 10 people!!). The Lilac house is great for kids. Be sure to clarify with the owner if she will be in town during your stay. The owner's "Nest" house is within arms reach of the main house. Not an ideal setup given the price that many pay for privacy.

Hi Lonnie -- I'm glad you and your extended family enjoyed the location. Just to be clear, for future renters, the Main House has an indoor shower as well as a roomy outdoor (but enclosed on 4 sides) shower right on its side-deck that we encourage occupants to use. There is also a tub (no shower) in the bathroom upstairs. And the adjacent Lilac House guest house that you also rented has a small indoor and open outdoor shower (this outdoor shower isn't enclosed but has hot water and is good for rinsing off), should any renters include the Lilac House guest house in their rental next year. But it's helpful for people to know that in these old -- even redone -- houses that the bathroom space is limited. Also good for people to be aware that the owners might be in the neighboring guest house. Thanks again for staying with us!
