Captain Spring House: In Town Luxury - Water Views - Walk to Ferry!

With sweeping views of Vineyard Haven Harbor, the Captain Spring House in-town luxury home combines water views with 4 levels of sophisticated and stylish living space, including two roof top decks, a home theater, tournament Pool Room, Penthouse Lounge, and more.

This is the ideal luxury property to enjoy Martha's Vineyard. Our house is a short walk (2 blocks) from the ferry, town, and beach so you can really leave the traffic (and your car) behind! If you choose to bring your car there is parking for 2.

The main floor of Captain Spring House features an open Great Room designed for entertaining, with living and dining areas, plus a large Gourmet Kitchen. The fully equipped Chef's Kitchen features marble countertops, grand prep island/breakfast bar with seating for eight, Wolf and Sub-Zero stainless appliances, two farmhouse sinks, double dishwashers, and a wine refrigerator. There are hardwood floors and high ceilings throughout the home, and the entire house is cooled via central air conditioning.

All four of the bedrooms feature full marble baths with tub and shower, and flat screen TVs. The second floor Master Suite also has a glass walk-in shower and whirlpool tub with harbor views.

The views get even better on the third floor Penthouse Lounge, with its sectional seating, wet bar, refrigerators, and two large mahogany sun decks, both of which face the harbor. One also has an outdoor shower.

The lower-level features both a Home Theater and a Pool Room Lounge. There is a tournament pool table and a fully equipped wet bar. Captain Spring House sits quietly on a side street, just a block from downtown with all its restaurants, shops, and ferries.

During July, August, and through Labor Day, the Captain Spring House is a Sunday-to-Sunday rental. During the off season, there is a minimum 3-night stay for bookings. We look forward to your visit!

Fabulous time with hubby and I and 3 other couples. The property is a stunner when you walk in. Spotless! Huge kitchen and family room area, separate dining area. Great beachy decor. 4 big bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Basement game room and bar, rooftop decks with umbrellas. 2 sets of washer dryers so we never had to wait. 2 full size refrigerators and a separate beverage/wine fridge. Full size propane grill on the deck off the kitchen. Great communication with the host. Couldn’t ask for more.

The only con that I had was with the parking in the fact that it was extremely tight for two extra large (Jeep Wagoneer) vehicles. It worked, but was tight.

Wonderful stay!

The stay was perfect—spent a weekend for a family wedding-wish we could have stayed longer! The house was beautifully appointed and equipped—from fully outfitted kitchen to bar and entertainment room downstairs—there was ample space for a 7-member multigenerational family to gather and also find quiet spaces to recharge! A block away from Main Street Vineyard Haven, the location could not have been more perfect!

Martha’s Vintage 25

House was everything as advertised. We were 3 couples so having 3 bedrooms with King size beds really attracted us to it. It was very clean, a convenient location and just perfect for our group.

This beautiful property is so well located in Vineyard Haven, seconds away from main street. The house is beautifully appointed and has the best amenities. We simply had a fabulous time and plan to return to this home over, and over again.

My family and I stayed at this beautiful house last weekend. First impression was that the house was immaculate and big. With 4 bedrooms, basement game room, first floor living room, kitchen and dining table and 2 outside decks on the third floor, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We found that the outdoor decks were perfect in the late afternoon. We enjoyed the pool table! The beds were comfortable, the location excellent, within easy walking distance of the main shopping and restaurant area. The host had thoughtfully provided many suggestions for restaurants and beaches. Our absolute favorite was Art Cliff for breakfast. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped. We lucked out with beautiful weather, so spent most of our time outdoors, including the beach at Menemsha and Aquinnah. Everything was easy and delightful!

The perfect house on Martha’s Vineyard! Everything you need is within walking distance. The house was amazing. The decor was charming and the furniture, including the beds, are so comfortable. We struggled to decided whether to hang out on the roof overlooking the harbor or the downstairs bar / billiards room. You cannot go wrong staying here. Additionally, the host was great and promptly answered any questions we had, no matter how small of a request.

If there was a way to give more than 5 stars I would. This home was a treat within its self. We talked about get groceries just to use the kitchen fully. It was so well appointed. 3 living spaces. So sound proof. We could not hear from the different floors nor from the bedrooms. So centrally located. I would definitely rent again.

Our stay far exceeded expectations. This home overwhelmingly served our family of six adults and one toddler; it’s majestic, massive, and beautifully designed. Everyone had their own quiet corner, yet there were plenty of gathering spaces too. The décor is light and chic, the beds and couches are unbelievably comfortable, and the kitchen is enormous with absolutely everything you could need; two sinks, two dishwashers. The entire property is spotless; we even had brand‑new towels and a pristine spa tub in the master suite. The home is stocked with cleaning products and essentials, so we didn’t need to bring a thing. The location is unbeatable, walk to the ferry, beach, shops, restaurants, parks, and the library. Vineyard Haven is peaceful, charming, and fun fact: it’s a dry town! Try out Catboat Coffee, you won't regret it! We usually stay in Oak Bluffs, but Vineyard Haven is now at the top of our list. The rooftop lounge is unforgettable and additional sitting areas were a bonus. Great memories. Don’t hesitate, this home is a true gem. Book it!
