The Bluefish Beach Cottage is located in Blue Mountain Beach along the famous Scenic Highway 30A. The cottage has been fabulously renovated in a coastal modern style. Fully updated and professionally decorated. This spectacular cottage features three bedrooms, two full baths with walk in showers, an extensive, open air front porch abutting an enclosed grass yard. The back of the property features a large elevated wood deck with a full size Spa / Hot Tub, Weber gas grill, 6 person outdoor dining table, 4 complimentary beach cruiser bikes, and string lighting intertwined between the coastal palm trees.

Beach toys and outdoor games for all ages, full size corn hole boards, beach chairs, plenty of clean beach towels and a beach buggy wagon are all provided for complimentary use.

4 NEW BEACH CRUISER BIKES (April 23’)

A quaint, fully enclosed outdoor shower with endless hot water provides a perfect way to wash off the salt and sand after a long day at the beach.

The owner's suite has a king sized bed and an ensuite bathroom that has a large walk in shower, double vanity and a private entry from the back deck.

The additional rooms offer a queen size bed and two twins that share an oversized bathroom. All rooms have sleek, wall mounted smart televsions as well as high speed WIFI. Enjoy the fully stocked gourmet kitchen, gas range, outdoor gas grill, instant hot water, and a full size washer and dryer.

The Bluefish Cottage is a short walk from 4 public beach accesses with public parking that allow stress free access to the beautiful white sand and emerald green waters of Blue Mountain Beach. There is plenty of parking at the cottage for up to three cars and a golf cart, the complimentary beach cruiser bicycles are placed just inside the charming front fence.

The owners have lived in the area for 25 years and are more than happy to offer any recommendations for shopping, dining, inshore and offshore fishing excursions, paddle boards and golf cart rentals. The Bluefish Cottage is a hidden value that is sure to please.

Spring Break

We brought our family here for spring break and loved it! The house is gorgeous and the interior design is top notch. We loved that we did not need to bring anything extra with us. The location is perfect to the beach as well as a quick drive over to the Seaside square. There is no need to leave Blue Mountain Beach though, it is quaint and has awesome restaurants nearby. 10 out 10 recommend!!

Darling beach cottage with great family amenities!

We loved our stay with our young children at Bluefish! The home was so beautifully decorated and stocked with all of the beach toys and chairs you could want for a young family. In our time away from the beach our kids had a blast playing in the fenced in front and back yards and enjoying the hot tub. John was always helpful and great with recommendations. An all around great experience!

Awesome little gem in Blue Mountain

This was a great vacation home. Beautifully appointed with all the amenities you could ask for - plenty of towels and starter supplies. Location was excellent, in a quiet neighborhood, easy walking distance to Blue Mountain town and beach, and driving distance to everything else along 30A. What really sets it apart was the owners excellent communication and responsiveness. We had a minor issue arise and John took care of it right away- it’s those little details that really make a difference.10 stars!

30A Wedding Stay

We enjoyed our time at this house so much! Very clean and comfortable. Close to beach and restaurants. We rented a golf cart, but it’s a very walkable area. We would definitely choose this house again!

my sister and i had such a wonderful stay at the bluefish coastal cottage! the weather was on/off rainy (thanks for sharing francine!) but we only got caught in a downpour one time :) we enjoyed riding bikes on the timpoochee trail, walking on the beach, and exploring all of the adorable 30a towns! hope to return again soon :)

Absolutely perfect!

This is our 3rd time back and we've already booked again for next year. The house is so wonderfully designed and decorated, and it's a short walk to the beach while also being far away enough from any crowds.

Perfect Stay Once Again!

This is our second year staying at Bluefish and it is hands down the perfect house for our family. Blue Mountain Beach is such a gem of 30A. The house is just the right size with everything you need, quiet neighborhood yet close to so many things and John and his family take such good care of the house. You will not regret staying here and we look forward to visiting again!

Perfect beach getaway

My husband and I had the best time! The house was so clean, comfortable, and a delight to stay in! From the bikes, front porch, beautiful kitchen and neighborhood, it was hard to leave. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home!

Perfect well-appointed Cottage

Perfect location. Cute Cottage with everything we needed. Very clean and well appointed. The owner was quick to respond and helpful (nice guy) The beach is beautiful and very close. We loved our stay. :)

Old Charm-Gorgeous 30A Cottage

Stayed for 6 days and while the weather was chilly the cottage was perfection! John was so easy to work with and quick to respond when we had a question. Beautiful remodel with everything we needed! Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful home, awesome location!

Such a beautiful home! Everything about it was absolutely perfect! Exceptionally clean, well stocked with all of the essentials you’d need… from kitchen items to bikes, to towels and beach gear! Perfect place for our family of 5. Just a short 10 min walk to the beach and plenty of great restaurants within walking distance to visit too. We loved it! Owners were amazing with communication!

This property as set the bar high!

What an amazing home. It had everything we needed and as a family of 6, that says a lot. We were not lacking anything. Even when it was cold outside, (December vacation) the hot tub and constant hot water from the shower outside kept us more than happy. Very clean and we will definitely be coming back!

Charming Coastal Vibes ...

Bluefish Cottage is an easy walk, skip or bike ride from Blue Mountain Beach. The cool coastal decor is bright and airy, the spaces are cozy yet functional. We really appreciated the fenced-in backyard with string lights, hot tub, grill, patio table, and yard games. Bikes, beach chairs, towels, and umbrella are provided. John and Kelley are lovely hosts and promptly answered all questions and offered lots of helpful suggestions to fully enjoy 30A.

Amazing place to stay

This property was even better than the pictures showed. It was well appointed, cozy, and close to so many amenities. 10 minutes from Seaside, maybe a 10 minute walk to the beach. Great places to eat and the hosts provided lots of helpful recommendations. So many beautiful touches, it felt like a home away from home. There were bikes, beach supplies, a grill, and great outdoor and indoor living space. Thanks to the amazing hosts for providing such a beautiful, cozy space.

Wow. Exceeded expectations

Bluefish Cottage is a fantastic property! Super clean. Amazing upgrades in kitchen and bathrooms. Super comfortable beds, linens, and towels. Fully stocked kitchen appliances. Quiet location and minutes from the beach. Every detail was perfect and decor was top-notch. Felt like we were staying at a 5-star luxury resort with intimate touches. Hosts were super responsive and helpful with local information. Best beach trip ever! Will definitely stay again.

The home is darling. Great location and very private. Loved the outdoor shower. FYI—The bikes advertised with the property are not useable. They were rusted and all of the tires were flat.

This house is nothing short of perfect!

We rented in June but before we left I made a reservation to return to 30-A and stay there again the following March. I laughed to myself all week that my only complaint was that they needed to provide a larger skillet that would hold enough bacon to feed my 3 teenagers.

Perfect!

Absolutely wonderful time staying here. From pulling up to a pristine pebble parking lot, down to the back deck and yard, everything was perfectly clean. The house was adorable. Having a fenced yard was wonderful for the kids. They even had a pack and play. The owners could not have been nicer and more helpful. We rented a golf cart so the trip to the beach and back was a breeze. Would Absolutely stay here again! Cant wait! Thank you so much!

Anfitrión: Kelley & John Sumrall

We have lived in Destin and Blue Mountain Beach since the mid nineties. In the eighties and early nineties we visited Kelley's mom here in Blue Mountain while we still lived and worked in Atlanta. In 1994 we left Atlanta and have enjoyed raising our three boys on sand and saltwater. Kelley is an interior decorator with an ever expanding client list. John is a banker who manages his company's operations for most of the Florida panhandle . Our older two boys still live nearby and come by often for coffee and dinner. The oldest is quickly making a name for himself as a talented construction superintendent. His construction knowledge, people skills, eye for design and attention to detail have quickly earned the respect of homeowner's and other industry professionals. In fact, he and Kelley handled the renovation and design for this property. The middle son is an outstanding caterer and chef. Since a young age, he has had a passion and flair for all things culinary. As a personal chef he has catered dinner parties for quiet a few of our more well known residents. He has recently taken a break from his pursuit of a culinary degree so he could live a little. A cross country trip ferrying some friends' car and their Rhodesian Ridgeback was bookended by Kansas City BBQ and Thomas Keller's fried chicken. He will start again soon in the back of house at one of our most famous 30 A icons learning best practices. The youngest attends SoWal High where he enjoy's an exemplary GPA, too much popularity and starts on the varsity team as running back. He does a little surfing, paddle boarding and fishing as well. During the Summer he works on the beach setting chairs and umbrellas. Hard work and early mornings - his Dad likes it. We love the area and are happy to share it with you. If you want a local's perspective just ask.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We have admired the neighborhood cottages known as "the brickyard" since we first saw them back in the eighties when we were in school at Auburn. The cozy neighborhood is on 30 A and only a block from the beach. We were patient and finally found a good fit with the Bluefish Cottage on one of our neighborhood walks. It needed some love and we had the vision. We also had the labor. The entire family participated in the demolition and renovation. We hope you enjoy it!
