Wonderful location

Loved our stay here. The location is right in town so easy to hope a tram to local sites. Apartment was also in a quiet area.

Great location, apartment and host

Very nice place close to but away from the touristy area. Host, Robert, is a gem of a person and very accommodating. Will stay every time I come back if available.

Wonderful stay

Exquisite property with a great deal of charm! Love, loved, loved the door to upstairs bedroom! Very livable and comfortable. Everything we needed, and in an extra special location. Thank you!

Lovely apt in a great area

This is the second time we have stayed here. The apt is large and airy and Robert is an extremely helpful host! The area is fantastic, great shops and amenities, far enough out of the busy areas to be peaceful but easy to walk everywhere. Thanks for a seamless stay!

Absolutely fantastic.Easy communication with the owners of the flat, great location, and overal a super enjoyable experience. When back to Amsterdam I will definitely stay here. Gorgeous place + warm, accommodating host

We had a wonderful stay. The place is beautiful, sleek and immaculate - yet still comfortable. Large common area/kitchen with terrace - a perfect hang out for the 4 of us. Robert was super helpful throughout. All in all, close to perfection.

Joseph (Joe) & Lori came with their friends Ruth & Roger and where looking for a down town, central apartment, where hey had enough space for four. They where friendly, great in communication, took great care of my apartment, left it tidy, and respected the rules. I am happy to host and welcome them again. Cheers, Robert

Best neighborhood in Amsterdam

We really enjoyed our stay in Robert’s apartment. Very quaint, very quiet street in the middle of a neighborhood with excellent restaurants, fun and welcoming bars full of locals, and walkable to everything we wanted to see. The apt gets a lot of light, which is great, and although it rained most of our visit, we enjoyed having the balcony.

The host Robert is very welcoming. He explains everything on your arrival. The appartement is central, we walked everywhere easely. The grocery store is around the corner. Amsterdam is a beautiful city but beware of the bicycles, they are everywhere

Beautiful and serene apartment nestled in an amazing area.

Robert's top floor apartment is welcoming and spacious. Immediately immersing you into a quiet Amsterdam street. Trees line the view from the balcony, and it is nearly impossible to not feel relaxed. Robert was an amazing host, accommodating our late arrival due to flight delays. The apartment contains everything you'll need to relax from hours of walking or biking around Amsterdam. I would absolutely stay here again, and cannot wait to come back.

Jared and his friend where fantastic! The type of guests you are hoping for, when you start renting your apartment. He communicated clearly and promptly before and after his stay. They left my apartment in impeccable condition and they where easy, interesting, very friendly. Any other host would be lucky to have them as a guest and I would definitely host them in the future! Excellent location! It was very clean and suited our needs. 3rd floor, no elevator so just be aware that you'll need to move your bags upstairs. The only drawback was that the beds were singles, not twins, so they were very small and one of the beds is in the closet. This home is otherwise occupied by the owners so all of their things are in the apartment, including some artwork that some may find a little racey. We also struggled with the heat (it was very cold) snd we could not keep the apartment warm.

Perfect stay

Quiet neighborhood, romantic restaurants out the door. We slept like babies in the secret bookcase bedroom. Two caveats worth knowing. It’s 4 flights of stairs as an only entrance for those it might represent an issue for. For that same group the airplane sized toilet room might present challenges. Neither of these were obstacles for us and would recommend it highly for those without movement limitations.

Excellent location

The location cannot be beat. Very quiet residential street but close to great shops and restaurants and walking distance to the museums. The host is very nice and responsive. Big windows and uncluttered. It could use another comfortable chair to face the couch if you are three people. It needs one bright lamp that you can move around. We got used to the low level of light at night. Probably good for setting up circadian rhythms for sleep. But reading at night is hard. I would definitely stay here again.

We scheduled this trip with my elderly parents (late 70s and early 80s). We knew that it may be unseasonably warm as the trip approached. When we noted that, They responded "The property doesn't have air conditioning. Because we have a sea climate the weather shifts day by day." We waited to see if the weather would change. With about 5 days out we reached out again clarifying our concerns. They said they would look into cooling equipment (we offered to pay for it). When we arrived, it was record breaking heat. They had provided no cooling equipment. They didn't even have fans! At the time, we said we understood there was no refund. However, after having to pay for another place to stay, To be clear, we did not stay at the property after doing the initial walk through and notified them immediately upon making our decision. They had the opportunity to rent it aI reached back out to them to inquire about just a partial refund. After 5 days, they have not responded to that message in any form. We were wiling to accept that two of the beds were the size of a cot (around 26 inches wide) and that one of those was in a shoe closet. I would also let other people know that was nude art, including a huge larger than life-sized picture of a nude woman and other nudes in the unit. I have no problem with nude art, but other customers may not be as open-minded.

The apartment was great for our short stay in Amsterdam. The location was close to everything with an easy tram ride to and from Centraal Station. If we weren’t walking or biking, the light rail is a short walk through the park. There is also easy access to a cafe, pub and grocery store.Robert and Eva provided excellent check in details as well as some short videos. The apartment presents mostly as is in the listing. Somehow we missed that the apartment is two floors with the bathroom on a different level than one of the bedrooms. Yes, there are three flights of stairs to get to the apartment. But everything has stairs in Amsterdam unless you are on the ground floor. Other reviewers noted the larger than life nude photo in the stairwell. We decided to deal with it, but it might make others uncomfortable. The space was very clean and had everything we needed.We visited in mid July and the temperature was approximately 82º F / 28º C and with the windows open and no air conditioning, the apartment was comfortable.

First off, the communications and location were excellent. Walk down the lane and you're right in the main part of town.The actual apartment however... It's in Amsterdam, we expected the four flights of stairs and less spacious accommodations. What we didn't expect were the walls to be scuffed and slightly dirty looking, the sectional couch to be very stained and the overall lighting throughout the apartment to be little more than mood lighting. On a scale of 0 to 10 in terms of brightness, I'd say turning the lights on in most of the rooms brought it up to about a 3 at best.

Amsterdam

Location, location, location...the property is central yet quaint. The restaurants/cafes at the end of the street are full of warm and inviting staff. The apartment served its purpose during our stay. The bathroom is extremely tight, making it a challenge to use it with the door closed and the sink is not really operational as it spills water all over the floor. There is another sink across the hall where you can go to wash up after using the restroom. One bedroom is behind a newly constructed built in bookcase, making it a secret room with a hidden entry. Our daughter was 18, so this was not an issue, however it was dark and not fully finished yet. Our son unexpectedly joined us at the last minute and Robert was kind enough to work this out with us as it was an unplanned guest. Our only concern was the extra guest charge on his rental site states one price and he charged us 3x that price and would not charge us through the VRBO, but instead asked us to pay in cash to his wife who was staying in the apartment below. Luckily, we had the cash to spare and it all worked out.

Very nice apartment, very responsive owner

The 3 of us stayed at the apartment for 1 week. The apartment is very nice - clean and light and just as described. The balcony is a big plus. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. Robert answered all our questions we had beforehand and even let us check in earlier. I would highly recommend this place!

Alles, so wie beschrieben

Die Wohnung und auch die Vermieter waren wie in den Bewertungen und den Fotos beschrieben. Alles wirklich sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Übergabe war professionell - die Kommunikation während des Aufenthaltes verlief reibungslos mit Eva & Robert. Tolle Lage - einerseits sehr ruhig und trotzdem nur 10 Minuten fußläufig mitten ins Geschehen. Jederzeit wieder.

Great location

We had a wonderful stay. Robert was so helpful and welcoming, and the property was just as displayed. The apartment was very large and bright and in a wonderful location. We were able to get around very easily just walking. The neighborhood was quiet, with lots of restaurants and a lovely little park nearby.
