Was a little disappointed by the state of house. Multiple lights weren’t working, there was only one roll of toilet paper provided per bathroom, no lighter or fire sticks for s’mores were provided. The tvs weren’t working properly. There was a lot of clutter all around in the basement. It wasn’t a bad house but not somewhere I would book again.

Pros: This host was friendly and responsive. She was very accommodating when I had to add my dog at the last minute. The property can easily fit a large group and the log home style is charming. Downtown Lancaster is only a few minutes away. Cons: Unfortunately this property wasn’t very clean in a few areas. The bathrooms’ floors, baseboards and bath mats are all very dirty in a way that unpleasant for me, an admittedly uptight person about cleanliness. The kitchen was very cluttered, with a dishwasher that isn’t properly bolted in and therefore tips forward easily. And the plants and trees around the home were very overgrown, making it not super inviting to be outside.

The host was very responsive and great, she helped every way possible including giving us recommendations of places to visit. I would do it all again. My family enjoyed themselves.

I booked this property specifically wanting to support a veteran host, but the experience was a complete nightmare. We checked out two days early due to safety issues, unsanitary conditions, and extremely unprofessional behavior from the host.- Upon stripping the bedding before our early departure, we discovered blood stains on the pillow and at our arrival we saw one on wall. The indoor bathrooms were dirty and the outdoor fireplace area had moldy cushions and clutter around. The hot tub was extremely cloudy with heavy sediment floating around. The bedroom closet was completely filled with clutter, as was the entryway leading down into the basement / games.Multiple lights and outlets were non-functional, making the home uncomfortable and unsafe especially having young children with us. The host was largely unresponsive, and when she did communicate, she was rude, dismissive, and hostile. When we departed early due to these uninhabitable conditions and requested a refund for our unused nights, she refused, taking zero accountability and falsely claiming we left due to personal issues. That is completely false—we left strictly because of the unacceptable state of the cabin and the hosts hostility making it very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, because the host refused our request for a refund, Vrbo said it’s out of their hands. So now I’m out half the money and the headache of dealing with all of this. I do NOT recommend.

The house was amazing. The host was even better. She knew we had children and were coming into town for Easter, and made sure to make them at Easter basket. It really stood out to us and was very kind.We will definitely be booking again

Considering my goal was something better and more cost effective than a hotel for my large group, this was overall a good experience. The house needs a little TLC to fix up a few things such as better lighting, some landscape tidying, organizing seasonal items and kitchen supplies, cleaning up or replacing outdoor furniture, and not sure why but there was a full length extension ladder laying in the front yard. That being said, Elizabeth was quick and polite in her responses, and seems to genuinely care about her guests. The house is private and secluded, yet not a crazy distance from civilization! We enjoyed our stay. The hidden playroom upstairs was a hit with my 3 year old daughter!

Elizabeth was a wonderful host! The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. We had a great stay and really appreciated the attention to detail throughout the house. Communication was easy and smooth from start to finish.The only minor issue we noticed was that the water pressure was a bit low at times, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience.We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this home to others. Thank you again, Elizabeth—we would be happy to come back!

Overall a nice spacious place for a couple families to hang out and enjoy the quietness and have family time. Host was very responsive via tx and had no major issues.

House is in a great location to experience the relaxing vibe Hocking Hills has to offer. Kids loved playing all the games in the basement and trying to make a fire even though it rained the majority of the time we were there. The house itself is really not set up as a full time vacation rental. We had to unload dishes that were left in the dishwasher, unload laundry that was left in the dryer. We ended up hand washing all plates upon arrival as most were not clean or sticky. The closets in many of the rooms are unusable as there is stuff shoved in there. The basement has a ton of exposed storage items under the stairs and the laundry room was extremely disorganized. Again, was a nice stay but it felt like we were borrowing someone’s house and not renting a house for vacation.

Great family vacation

We really enjoyed our vacation together. The cabin we stayed at met all of our needs and allowed us to relax and enjoy the sites in Hocking Hills.

Very good for families with children. Tiny bit of an issue with water pressure when everyone was trying to get ready in the morning. Inside very clean. Outside was good, but maybe a power wash? Overall, a great stay. Host was very responsive. Easy check in.

Great family friendly stay

This cabin was one of the best ones I've stayed at so far. The manager was absolutely amazing and responded quickly to any questions that we had. Its a great family friendly (pet friendly too). Even though we had rain almost eveyday the kids (in all age groups) never was bored. I would absolutely come back again in the future and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!
