Truly enjoyed our stay at this condo. The price was extremely reasonable. The host communicated very well with us. Check-in was very easy. The condo itself was somewhat dated which is shown on their photos of the unit and one of the bedrooms does not have AC. But that being said, it was very clean and set up appropriately for a family on vacation. They also had beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and some additional items for the beach. I really believe that you get what you pay for and this unit exceeded our expectations. I would most definitely stay here again!!!! Also, most flights to the mainland leave in the evening. We were given the opportunity for late check out so we could enjoy the beach one more day. We had to pay a little extra but a very very big bonus if you want to enjoy your last day and not have to check out at 10am. Thank you for sharing your place with our family.

This well appointed unit was updated, clean and organized. I especially appreciated that the towels and sheets were new and clean. The views from the lanai made outdoor dining a pleasure. Questions about parking were answered quickly and resolved easily. I would definitely stay in this unit again.

Great place and great location.

We had a fantastic time. The place was spacious and fit our needs. The place was exactly how it was described in the listing. One of the bedrooms did not have air conditioning – keep that in mind during the hot days.

The place was amazing!

Not only is the location beautiful, but the inside is really nice too. The house fit our 6 people family very nicely. It is close to a beach, just a short walk across the street (Ulua beach). The appliances were up to date and their movie collection is fantastic and classic. The view from the house is also spectacular. Our family will definitely stay here again!

We had a great time here. Even though it was a little dated it was clean and comfortable. The vaulted ceiling made it feel extra spacious. The patio was perfect for drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and downing a few beers in the evening while chatting with each other. The girls loved that it was so close to the shopping in Wailea. We’ll definitely come back.

The condo was perfect for my large family of six. It was very clean upon our arrival and it had everything we needed functionally. The view from the large deck was very nice. The host was very responsive via text the few times I reached out. The only hiccup was that the condo was mislabeled in the parking space so when we showed up late at night in the dark we couldn’t find it. The property needs to remedy the parking labelling.

Grand Champion Villas

Excellent location close to beaches and top shelf shopping. Beautiful views from our second floor deck. A/C very efficient and our parking slot was 10-15 yards from the stairs to our unit. Quiet neighborhood and only 12-15 miles from airport.

Great Sunsets

We loved watching the sun set from the porch. Everything was clean. The condo also catered to many age groups. It had most beach stuff you would need, toys, games, hangers, and laundry on patio. Very easy walk to the pool and hot tub area

Functional space for family of 5 with young children.

The property has a good amount of common space for large groups and had air conditioning but not in every room or space. There was limited essential cooking equipment but otherwise plenty of good beach gear. Not suitable for anyone who cannot climb stairs.

Great Stay!

My wife and I stayed at this condo with 2 other couples, and we had a great time! Really nice views of the ocean from the lanai and its right off of hole #2 of the Wailea Blue course. The condo is in a great location that is walking distance from the Wailea shops. Its a bit further to walk to the beach so we ended up driving more often. We didn't end up cooking much at the unit, and we were careful about leaving food out so we didn't have any ant issues like other reviews. There were 6 beach chairs which was a nice touch to have. Overall we really liked the condo & location and would stay there again.

Overall a really great stay, the home was a wonderful place to stay. The master bed mattress is quite firm while the queen bed room is soft. There were a lot of bugs in the master bathroom when we arrived but it was after dark and they had left all the lights on for us. Thankfully, there was a vacuum cleaner and we were able to vacuum the bugs. I contacted the host and they responded immediately and sent maintenance out the next day to check the screens. We had no more issues with bugs. Our only issues were before check in- we did not receive the check-in details and it was 24 hours until our arrival. After contacting them I was told we had to sign some rental agreement?? We never received the agreement and it took a bit of back and forth before it was resolved. I had no idea there was something else to sign because we were never informed of this during the entire process. I wish they had proactively let us know instead of me having to uncover the problem at the last minute. The only other issue, as others have mentioned, is that the parking spot assigned is not in the signed area. (Spot 170 is not actually in spots marked 168-180) It makes sense once you find it but it is impossible to know where it actually is based on their instructions. Drive past the 170 parking area and go down two more parking areas and it is in the right hand corner.Those were minor issues and I would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

Everything was very nice except we were not happy with the problem we were having with fire ants. We understand it’s a tropical place. We understand that there will be bugs, but we had an alarming amount of fire ants, and as a matter of fact, my two daughters and two son-in-law‘s got bit by them because they were coming in from the kitchen door and the bedrooms they were staying in were right there and unfortunately they were getting bit by them. So That left a very bad taste in our mouth unfortunately. And for that reason, I don’t think we would stay here again. I took pictures of how many ants there were. We had to spray ant spray and it didn’t even help that much.

Family Gathering

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this unit for a family gathering of 6 over the Christmas Holidays. It is a nice sized unit, with a large living room and huge master bedroom and bath. The other 2 bedrooms are smaller but still nice sized. The second bath is a little small to be shared with more than 2-3 people, but as the master bath is very large it all worked out. We did not use the AC, but relied upon the wonderful breezes to cool the unit. The unit was very clean and well maintained, It has a nice lanai with an outdoor table that seats 6. The unit has not been updated, but is priced accordingly. We enjoyed our 10 days here, and had a good time cooking and grilling out by the pool.

Hidden Gem in Wailea

Overall, my group of six 30+ adults was very happy with GC #170 and would stay again! The location was *perfect*; the beaches close to us (Wailea Beach in particular) had that perfect soft sand, clear water, gentle tides, etc. that you want in a beach. We also saw sea turtles every time we went down there! The provided beach chairs from GC #170 were in good condition and comfortable. There are also a couple of shopping centers close by, which had coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It felt very safe to walk to any of these places, including in the early morning and evening. In relation to the rest of the island - it took about 10 minutes to get to Kihei, 30 to Kahului, and 45 minutes to Lahaina, and 25 minutes to the Ma'alaea harbor. For the actual condo, it is a bit tired and could use a few more updates, but as a place to sleep, play games, and occasionally eat, it was perfect. Plenty of seats for everyone to comfortably sit. Window AC units were in every room except the twin room, which was my friend's only complaint. A provided plug-in AC unit (like a Dyson) would be an easy fix to that issue. All six of us thought the beds were comfy, and there is a new kitchen counter (granite) as well which was nice for cooking. I really enjoyed eating breakfast out on the lanai every morning. The pools in the complex were on the small side, but never crowded or hard to find a chair. Overall the complex was very quiet, had relaxing energy, and was beautifully landscaped.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just completed a stay at your property. We were extremely disappointed and upset when we arrived and the bdrm closest to the master bdrm did not have any AC. It had a very strong mildew smell which we think you know as there were air fresheners on the mirror. The description under amenities says 'Air Conditioning' which is misleading. I think you should say 'Partial AC' because the phrase about the 'pleasant mountain breezes' really gets lost. We got in touch with the mgmt company asap but they were not able to get us a portable unit until the next day. Unacceptable... The unit was sufficient however there are only 2 towel racks in the bathroom for 2 bdrms. The toilet in the main bath has a broken seat and makes a terrible noise until it completely fills. The tub was rusting around the drain control and the shower curtain rod is rusted. The exhaust fan was also extremely loud. The view from the Master Lanai is greatly overrated in the description and there are no chairs to sit on even if you wanted to. The dishwasher seems to be a little worse for the wear as well and would only run for us on Econ wash and was extremely hard to close. Some of the dishes in the cabinets had to be washed before using as they were dirty. The bdrm nearest the kitchen is sorely lacking drawer storage. The desk does not really offer much. The lack of any nightstand was difficult. All air conditioners were very loud and made it hard to sleep. I would not rent this unit again.

My only complaint was that our villa had a cockroach problem. On the first day we saw one and didn’t think much of it. By the second day we saw another, and after that they kept appearing, mostly in the kitchen and bathroom. On the fourth day, we woke up to a giant dead cockroach in the kitchen. At that point I no longer felt comfortable staying there.Since we were traveling with our baby, I wouldn’t let her on the floor. We packed up all of our belongings, kept everything on the counters, and washed any clothes that had been on the floor. We also made sure to keep the kitchen clean and took the trash out every day so we weren’t attracting pests.I reported the issue and was told it had been forwarded to Guest Relations, but I never received a response. After following up, I was only told they still hadn’t heard back. No resolution, discount, or compensation was ever offered for the inconvenience and discomfort.I had planned to stay later on checkout day, but instead packed up and left around 7:00 a.m. because I just wanted to get out of the villa.

Beds in second room slightly less so (according to our teenagers...)Great view of the golf course for son and husband.Only slight downside was work going on in the condo below was quite noisy, but these things have to be done I suppose, and only during the day when we were mostly out.
