44th Anniversary Trip

Beautiful view of the gulf!

Beautiful view of the gulf! A comfortable place for 2 adults and 2 young children. This part of the beach was perfect for a family.

Great place for a couple. Nice and clean. Only 2 problems bedroom needs black out curtains and ice maker didn’t work.

Cute condo

The indoor pool, being on the beach and being next to the state park was fantastic. Curtains in bedroom would be nice, the outdoor hall lighting came through the blinds and illuminated the room. Perfect size for our family of 3, 4 would be just as comfortable.

The property was clean, beautiful and quiet

We had such a such a wonderful stay at the Royal palms 1306. The view was awesome ! The room was very clean and so was the facility. We will definitely come back ! The staff at gulf sands was so friendly and helpful, especially the blonde girl at the desk. I'm sorry I can't remember her name. Thank you !

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and what an amazing location and experience. I was surprised to see that there was no comforter. Only two sheets with a microfiber blanket wedged in between. The dishes we tried to use were dirty in the cabinets. Other than that a great experience and perfect location.

Why was there a ladder in the hallway?

When we entered the first thing we noticed was a big ladder and paint cans in the hallway. That set a wary tone of the place. The view from the balcony was nice but the patio furniture left a lot to be desired. Other wise it was a nice stay. The ocean was gorgeous, weather was nice and we were within walking distance of a decent coffee shop and a great restaurant

Location is excellent. Unit needs maintenance

Location was beautiful. Right on the beach. However, the unit needs updating and maintenance. The bedroom TV has no service. The bedroom bath shower had no hot water. And the ice maker in the freezer does not work. Too expensive for those things to NOT work.

Great beach and great location

Really enjoyed the distance from the condo to the beach. The crowd of the beach was also low, definitely 10/10. The beach service provided was spectacular. Could not have loved them more. The room was not as clean as I would have liked. I mentioned some issues to the rental company but there were more than initially addressed, and once checked in, it’s understandably out of their hands. I feel like it looks clean but wasn’t and maybe that’s enough for others. The rental company is communicative and they fixed an internet service issue relatively quickly but the cleaning service needs to do a better job: floors, tables, coffee pot, stove eyes, and bathrooms need to be throughly cleaned between each guest. Patio furniture could be updated as well as the main door knob and locking system. Some rugs would also help improve the feel of the space. The condo is in a fantastic location.

Good location …not very clean

The overall cleanliness was pretty bad. We found a dope roach on the balcony, hair in the bathroom, food crumbles in the cabinets and sand all around the washer. Very poor job cleaning! The check and out process was dated. We had to pick up keys off site and return them. A keyless entry would have been much nicer The location was great and the bed was comfy! Won’t use this rental company again.

Great place

Overall really good! There were a few items: 1) curtain needed in master. The lights are really bright on the building and shine through the window. 2.) toilets both ran. Had to jiggle them to get them to shut off 3.) shower in master. Faucet is weird trying to turn off and on. 4.) no ladder on the bunk. Makes trying to climb into the top bunk almost impossible for younger kids. Had to put them on the couch. 5.) Food left over in the freezer from the previous guest. All minor issues. Easy fixes. Overall it was really good. The decor was nice. View was good. Wasn’t even bad being on the 13th floor.

Great location

Fantastic location not overly crowded super short walk to the beach. Check in and out was super easy. Very spacious for our family of three. The bathrooms were great size and very clean the balcony was also a great size. It's been the best place we've stayed in the 3 yrs of coming here as a family. I did give cleanliness 1 star because the sheets were stained/ or dirty. The comforter in the main bedroom hadn't been washed and had a huge white place on it. Fortunately there was an extra blanket in the closet that we used instead. We checked in on Saturday evening so we couldn't call and tell them about the dirty sheets and comforter until Monday. The lady who normally cleans said she had been sick and had someone else doing it so I'm sure it was overlooked. She brought sheets but no replacement comforter. Also the eyes of the stove in the kitchen still had pasta and various food on them which I showed the cleaning person when she brought us more sheets. My kiddo absolutely loved the bunk bed set up. Would stay here again because like I said the normal cleaning lady had been sick and that's completely out of her control so I'm sure it's not the norm.

Very Disappointing

It was hard to find the office to get the key. They do not have a sign by the road. Their building sits behind se other buildings. Look for a jewelry sign when going to the office. There is no person to person communication, just emails. When we arrived the building is run down. We opened the door and this awful smell hit us. One of the lights in the hallway did not work and also the bedroom and microwave light did not work. There was no paper towels and no toilet paper in one bathroom. We peeled the sheets back and there was sand in the bed which means that the sheets were not washed so we immediately washed all of our linens. After washing the sheets the smell started to go away. The washer drain is what was the smell. There was tobacco spit on the balcony. The fabric recliners were dirty and dingy. We used the spare sheets for the pull out to sit on everything. none of the furniture matched, it looked like they went to the clearance isle and got what ever was on sale. The whole condo was extremely out dated. Some of the drawers had sawdust from the particle board cabinets in the utensils. They only positive thing that I can say is the location and view were awesome.

View was great, everything else mediocre at best.

We are not picky and stay in 2-3 rental homes per year. We arrived to shower that had not been cleaned, with a live cockroach in it. Master toilet was broken. No extra blankets for sofa bed. Dishwasher didn’t clean dishes and had horrible smell. Washer and dryer make loud squeaking noise whenever used. The overall initial appearance was fine. We checked in on Sunday. I called immediately once I found the bug and broken toilet. I also sent an email with a picture of the roach. Called me back mid morning the next day- with little to no concern. Sent building manager out to fix the toilet. We went with other families staying in the same building. Their condos were much much nicer and well maintained. Best part about it was the view!! Nice to have an indoor pool with the unpredictable weather. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Had a great time in Gulf Shores, but wouldn’t stay in this specific condo or with this rental company again.

Family Getaway

My husband and I took our 4 boys. We come every year but this was our first time with just us as a family. We thought the condo was perfect for our family! Location was close to our favorite restaurants and great shopping! We had a great time.
