Tamarack Cabin at Columbia Mountain Ranch

Located at the base of Columbia Mountain our Cabins are only minutes from Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain Resort, Flathead lake and many other destinations in the Flathead Valley.

This rustic cabin comfortably accommodates 4 guests, Men's and Women's showers and rest rooms are located across the foot bridge in the main service building as the cabins do not have plumbing.

The cabin is equipped with a small kitchenette (2026 glass dishes shown in photos will be replaced with disposable) and a Traeger pellet grill on the covered deck.


All cabins have heat and A/C

Come enjoy your stay on our peaceful property, wander, fish in the pond, kayak, paddle board, corn hole, volleyball and make wonderful memories!

This is an excellent deal! First, the area has everything within 30 minutes, but you don’t feel it based on the beauty of the property. So easy to access Glacier Park. The location is perfect! Second, the cabin itself and the bathhouse were excellent accommodations. It was relaxing and perfect. Thank you for the awesome stay!

Beautiful location! Be aware the bathrooms and showers are not in your building, you must walk to them. And the bunk beds, while comfortable, are very hard to get into as a tall person. For the price and location, you can't do better. Property managers are friendly! Wi-fi is weak, but we managed.

My family of four stayed in a two room cabin (Tamarack). There was one room with beds (a queen and two bunk beds) and a main living area room. Our room had no TV but that wasn't a problem for us as we had a computer and we were also gone a lot visiting Glacier. The wifi was not bad considering the rural woodsy location. The community room was well stocked and very homey. The bathrooms and showers in the community room were clean. The showers were hot but had poor pressure especially if a toilet was flushed or the wash machine was running. Still the water was hot. The hosts are great, very easy to talk with and very willing to answer questions. John is wonderful to talk with over a cup of coffee. Also, using the laundry machines is very affordable. This is a cozy, country cabin; nothing is fancy but the whole place is cozy and homey. It is an easy 30-35 minute drive to West Glacier. We would gladly stay here again.

We had a great time! The cabin was lovely. We usually tent camp so this was dreamy to have comfortable beds every night after long days of hiking and exploring. The kids LOVED the paddle boards/pond and the little dog, Lexi :) we would definitely return. Very laid back environment and welcoming.

Brilliant 2 night stay. Hosts were amazing, so helpful. Cabin was very comfortable and warm, we suggested a kettle would be a good addition especially for us English who like a hot cup of tea. Great location for West Glacier. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay!!! The setting was beautiful and the cabins were so cozy!!! We enjoyed watching for the wildlife that would meander across the property.John and Jenna were so kind and would help in any way possible. Great cabin experience

We stayed at Columbia Mountain Ranch while visiting Glacier National Park. The Cabin was a short drive from the West Glacier entrance. The cabin was very clean and just what we wanted for our 8 occupants.

Check in was seamless and John greeted us as soon as we pulled onto the property. He gave the best tips for homemade ice cream in town and where to buy groceries. The kitchen was a short walk from our cabin and made it so easy to do our own cooking which we appreciated a lot. We were even able to do laundry on sight which was awesome.

Great place to stay for a Glacier getaway

This was the perfect place for our visit to Glacier. We knew we would spend a lot of our time outside and at the park and wanted close, easy access to the entrance, trails, and sights. The cabin was clean and cozy. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. It was exactly what we needed!

Cute, cozy little cabins

It was a perfect mix of camping and glamping. It is a simple cabin with no running water but electricity andaccess to a community building with restrooms, showers, a fully stocked kitchen, books, games and maps. We stayed three days, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If we visit Glacier National Park again we will for sure stay here.

Beautiful place to stay!

Our family spent two nights here on the tail end of a 9-state road trip to see national parks and it was an incredible way to end our trip. We spent a day at Glacier and then hung around in the evening. It’s a beautiful property, lots for kids to do outside, so quiet and peaceful, and we loved the 4th of July fireworks the owners put on. Communication and accommodations were excellent and the short walk to the bathroom was no problem. Looking forward to visiting again!

Tamarack Cabin

Very cute cabins - greeted right away- even given a tour! Wow- an ice machine, couldn’t have asked for more. Bathrooms were clean. Good value for the area. Property was set back from the road and felt secluded. I would stay here again !

Tamarack Cottage

This was the perfect space for our family to get away! We (family of 6) stayed two nights to visit Glacier National Park (20 mins). The cottages were a good size, had good accommodations, and the kids loved to run around outside where they had a variety of other things to occupy their time. The bathrooms and cabins were clean. Owner’s communicated well. Our family wants to go back! Thanks for a great stay!
