Cozy Brookside Home in the Heart of Kansas City!

Stay in hip, upscale Brookside! We're a duplex in the heart of Kansas City. Walk to eclectic eateries and shops, the Trolley Trail, Whole Foods and grocery stores.

1,500 square feet of homey deliciousness spread over 3 levels with a bathroom on each. Decorated with original and vintage art. One parking space on the property plus free street parking. Fully fenced backyard (rock, not lawn) with deck, fire pit, bistro lights, patio set and gas grill.

2 gigabytes of super fast Google WiFi and a smart TV with a YouTube TV subscription in 4 rooms. Everyone can do their own thing: stream, classes, remote work, game and video chat, all at the same time.

Centrally located, we're a short drive to the Plaza, Westport, Waldo, Union Station, Sprint Center, Power & Light, the Convention Center, Loose Park, Crown Center, UMKC and the Chiefs and Royals stadiums.

Check in with a smartphone app or keypad code. Washer/dryer. Coffee maker, grinder, kettle, blender, toaster, fully stocked kitchen. Towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, iron, board, coffee and tea. Four pillows on each bed. USB towers and lamps on each end table, makeup and full-length mirrors. Board games, record player, and a Pacman arcade game! 5 roomy closets.

We are permitted in Kansas City, MO and meet all code, safety, and regulatory requirements: handrails, int/ext lighting, fire, smoke, monoxide detectors, basement egress window.

Please note there are two motion-activated exterior cameras (video/audio) located at the entry doors, and a Ring doorbell (video/audio).

Great Stay

Brookside comfort

We came for a long weekend to visit our daughter and her boyfriend. Location was great, quiet and felt safe. Small fenced in yard for our pup was easily accessible off the back porch. Well cared for home with everything we needed for our stay. Definitely would stay again!

Brookside Duplex

We spent a long weekend in KC with another couple and this house provided enough space for us to spread out. The weather was not good enough for us to enjoy the back deck and fire pot or upstairs balcony—maybe next time! The kitchen has utensils and dishes for the four of us. Beds are comfortable and neighbors are quiet. Distant sirens but nothing we couldn’t tune out. Very clean. Would stay here again.

Good location, clean and quiet

Plenty of room for three adults. Comfortable . Thoughtful touches like umbrellas - we used them one very rainy day to walk over to the coffee shop. Just the right supplies provided for a long weekend.

Perfect rental!

Top-Notch Home

Very nice location and we all loved the home! Comfort was top-notch! Coffee shop, Heirloom Bakery, around corner was a wonderful place for coffee and a light breakfast.

Girl’s getaway

Graduation

Stayed for Rockhurst Graduation location close to Brookside and campus. Amnesties were great and having coffee available was nice. Beds were comfortable and the patio was awesome. Grill worked great.

Great place to stay!

The house was very cute and clean. The beds were comfy and the owner had lots of extras that other VRBO 's don't offer. It was close to everywhere we needed to go and fit our family needs. I would go again.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and the house was perfect for us. The host is fantastic. Was very kind and accommodating! We plan to come back next year

Comfortable and convenient

We had a great stay. The property looks just like the photos. The duplex was set up very well for a 6 day stay and is really conveniently located in east Brookside. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and when we arrived there were some nice extra touches like a few snacks and soap to get us started. The Pac Man machine was also a big hit! We would stay again.

Fantastic place!

This home was a great home away from home for us while traveling to KC for my daughter’s volleyball tournament in downtown KC, MO. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. Lydia was a gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed including snacks and extra water. She was easy to communicate with and answered any questions I had quickly. We would recommend this beautiful neighborhood/area to anyone looking to stay there. It was easy to get everywhere we needed to be. All within a 15 minute drive or less.

Brookside House

House very clean but could use some updating (floor rugs and curtains, etc). Check in required blue tooth connection and code and my phone broke down during the stay which required a call to the owners. Also, neighborhood though close to restaurants and bars was not in good condition with trash bags in yards, not well taken care of homes. Would not feel safe walking at night for sure!!

I hated the people renting this. I want this to show and it seems you won’t let me put in a negative review. It was awful.They adjusted the temperature from their computer. Mind you outside was 95 one day, and there was only one unit with the thermostat downstairs. Upstairs was unbearable. We had to put the temp to 60’s to cool upstairs enough to be able to sleep in where the bedrooms are, but they had a program eco system on that stopped ac from running when people left the house. Tons of arguing with them, and them finally admitting they were indeed controlling our temp with their program. I would NEVER recommend this home. They also demand all kinds of media things about a person, which is really uncomfortable to give your accounts to people you know nothing of. Never have I ever had to do that before. And the response to correct the temperature issue was, why should we unless you give us 5 star. Unbelievable. I would stay as far away from this one as I could. Zero stars. Also beds in master is very squeaky but guest room is ok.

Very nice home for out of town stay. Everything was exactly as described. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels. Comfortable beds and furniture. Very clean. Fast response when needed by owner. Neat neighborhood. Would definitely recommend

Excellent property highly reccomended

We came to Kansas City to explore the sites and visit friends. Lydia, the property owner, contacted us as soon as we started the process. Upon arrival, there was a driveway along the left side of the property where we could park our vehicle towards the rear. If you have a second vehicle you can park it out front on the street, with plenty of parking The driveway and rear parking spot made unpacking our vehicle a breeze. We also had a vehicle cargo topper that we removed and put in the secure. well-lit fenced-in backyard with a privacy fence. There is a large wooden deck out back with a gas BBQ, outdoor gas fire pit, and bistro lights surrounding the entire circumference of the deck, along with enough seating for seven people. The home was very clean, modern, and larger than we expected having three floors, each floor having a restroom. The home has a PacMan arcade video game machine and an entire wooden chest full of board games for the entire family to enjoy. The kitchen had everything we needed for a several-day stay. The neighborhood was located just minutes from many downtown restaurants, stores, attractions, etc. If you enjoy walking, relaxing, and looking at beautiful old historic homes. large old oak trees, this is the perfect neighborhood for you,. The neighborhood has safe sidewalks and low-speed traffic. There was no sign of the well-lit upscale neighborhood having a crime problem ( I'm a 24-year inner-city police officer in a big city). We had a great time, the property exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this property to anyone, especially families coming to the area. Thank you Lydia for everything, especially the bottle of chilled welcome wine in the refrigerator after a long 10-hour road trip.

Very welcoming

Our first trip to KC, we came from Canada to cheer on the Chiefs, this house was so welcoming to the city! A beautiful tree lined street, clean and well kept home with everything we needed. My boys found the Pacman game to be an added bonus 😃

Fabulous stay!!!

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. It is exactly as the pictures show. Clean, accessible, off street parking. Neighborhood was quiet. Easily walked to coffee shop every morning and other restaurants and stores are an easy stroll away. Lydia was a wonderful host. Great communication. We have found out go-to place when we visit KCMO. Thank you.
