Gathering Oaks Retreat is located on 30 acres just outside of Waco and 15 minutes to Magnolia Market and downtown attractions. This is the perfect country escape after a busy day in town. Decorated with a fresh modern-rustic vibe, The Gathering House will include a newly renovated kitchen with a huge butcher block island for central gathering. The 41-foot enclosed patio features solid windows that frame the serenity of the property with sky-high live oaks. Each bedroom has luxurious linens, fresh decorations and is very clean! There are 4 full baths and 1 additional half bath upstairs.

Other guests may be on the property and have access to the pickle ball courts, courtyards, fire pits, and pool area. There are washers, ping pong, corn-hole, giant jenga, plus a seasonal pool for your enjoyment.

The Gathering House is usually only rented within a one month window based upon availability and seasonality. The Gathering House is part of Gathering Oaks Retreat as a whole which can be rented up to two years in advance with listing #960045. Gathering Oaks Retreat offers The 5 Bedroom Gathering House, a Two Bedroom Cottage, 4 Tiny Houses, and 9 King and Queen hotel suites on property sleeping up to 50 for reunions, retreats and weddings.

No daily hotel service or breakfast options. Fire pit, patio furniture, pool, and outdoor games are all shared spaces. We do not have natural gas and do not keep the hot tub heated 24/7 to save energy and keep things green. If you would like to request a hot tub reservation, October through April, we can warm it up remotely for a fee of $50 per hour. This fee is optional and and covers the private hot tub reservation, extra power and prep, but is totally worth it for that perfect evening dip under the stars! Feel free to bring your own fire wood (no cedar) to light the fire pit at your convenience.

Property is beautiful-outside amenities are well kept and a lot of fun. The house is spacious and very clean. It’s a wonderful property for a gathering of any kind.

Family Christmas

This place was amazing! We had our family Christmas there and our family had a blast! Kids had plenty to do with outdoor activities. Everything was clean and went beyond our expectations. Rebecca was great as she went above and beyond as we left a suitcase behind. We will definitely be back

The Gathering House was amazing for my big family! The house accommodated our 4 families including 9 kids for our family Christmas with the well furnished and spacious bedrooms and living area. My favorite space was the large kitchen with the big island, where we end up spending much of our time as a family. We all absolutely loved the outdoor space, where we played lots of games and a few games of pickleball. The kids spent way more time in the hot tub AND cold pool than I expected in late December. The property grounds are spacious, well kept and lovely. We even had our family portraits done on property. Rebekah, the manager was very responsive and communicative. We plan to return!

Simply beautiful!

We had the most amazing family reunion...it was simply perfect. And so much of that is because of Lacy and her Gathering Oaks Retreat. Where can I start? Rooms and homes were gorgeous, clean, impeccably designed. Grounds were well groomed, pleasant, relaxing, fun. There was enough to do just on the property that we barely had to leave for a week. Pool, firepit, tennis court, playground, horses nearby, etc. Lacy was super nice and always looking to make sure we were happy. Top rating, we hope to be back...

Magnificent experience

Property is absolutely gorgeous! Everything you need to have a wonderful trip. We so enjoyed sitting around the fire pit under the beautiful oaks. The management team was very helpful to work with. Just a wonderful experience!

Operation Graduation!!

We came to celebrate our daughters college graduation and had a marvelous time! The property was perfect and accommodated all of our family and friends. The outdoor area was perfect for entertaining just the way we like it! So many fun things to keep everyone occupied! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, glasses and flatware! The beds in each room sooooo comfortable! We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful Stay!

Our GoGirls Retreat of 4 women wanted a large home to keep social distance and have our own bedroom and bath. This home was perfect! We had lots of room to enjoy and activity outside. We were very blessed to be able to stay here. Thank you so very much! Memories were made here we will cherish forever!

Very well kept and perfect for our whole family

We had family coming in, for a funeral, from many cities and states. We needed a place for everyone on very short notice. Thank goodness this was a availble! It was perfect. Thank you for such a lovely place to stay
