Cozy Cottage in Historic Lewes Delaware

This small cottage is perfect for two adults, a great romantic getaway. The Cottage is not good for tall people - you need to watch your head on the stairs and on the top of the door between the kitchen and the main room. Upstairs is one queen bed, downstairs is the main room, small kitchen, and bathroom. The Cottage is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is very charming with its own outdoor eating terrace. The owner's house is also on the property. The cottage is not suitable for children or animals, it is compact and has a small refrigerator. It is an easy walk, 6 blocks, into the historic town of Lewes, and there are plenty of great and varied restaurants nearby. The beach is a five minute car ride or an 18 minute walk. TV and Wi-Fi are provided.
The Cottage is on King's Highway so there is some noise from the road - a white noise sleep machine is provided.

Very cozy cottage. Very clean and jydt enough for 2 people wanting to stay a few days in Lewes. Easy checkin/out. Gardens surrounding property a real bonus. Convient to shops and restaurants.

Birthday Getaway

What a great place to stay! The cottage was very comfortable.All the amenities were in place as described. The property is a mini garden of Eden just beautiful. Within walking distance of the historic town of Lewes. Would definitely be back

Better than advertised

Great location, away from the crowds of downtown but still in walking distance to everything. The garden surrounding the property is stunning and reinforces the coziness of the Cottage itself. Very clean, all the conveniences you would need. Probably the best vacation property we have stayed at, especially at this price point.

Charming cottage in a lovely garden

The cottage is charming and full of light, and is outfitted with everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The garden with its patio and fountains is a special treat. It is wonderful to be within a short walk of downtown Lewes and yet still be in a quiet location, and just off the fantastic bike/walking paths. I have stayed in this cottage a few times and am already looking forward to my next opportunity!

Birthday weekend getaway

Found cute, clean, cozy cottage as advertised. We were happy the road noise was minimal after 9pm as the cottage was surprisingly close to the road. Enjoyed off season offerings with really good restaurants and some good shopping deals for Presidents’ Day weekend. Would recommend and revisit.

Cute cottage in a great location

This property is in the historic district and close to restaurants and the parks. Well maintained property with a nice patio in the back. Hosts were very attentive. Lots of local information was in a notebook. It was a great help. This house could be a challenge for some older couple particularly if they are tall. The stairwell to the bedroom has a sloped ceiling. Unless you are short you will have to duck your head. Overall it is a nice little cottage. Our hosts were wonderful and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Garden Cottage

My husband and I stayed in this lovely cottage for our 37th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful place. The cottage was very clean. Soft fluffy towels and bright clean linens. K cups were provided which made our morning cup of coffee a breeze. The owner had a bottle of wine left for us for our anniversary. What a nice surprise. The gardens are beautiful and the private seating area was a perfect place to either enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. So many places in walking distance. The town of Lewes is charming. We could not have been happier with our weekend in this cottage.

Couple’s Retreat

This is such a beautiful and quaint cottage! Perfect for a couple or solo traveler. The photos don’t do it justice. There’s a reason why it has a 5-star rating and is fully booked for the entire summer season. It is very comfortable and well maintained. We had a great time staying here. The cottage is super clean and well appointed. We enjoyed using the outdoor patio space for meals. It was also nice to have two separate toilets. :) The kitchen refrigerator is small, so there’s limited food storage if you plan to cook a lot. But, with so many great restaurants and a local market with pre-made food nearby, there’s really no need to do much cooking. The Keurig was also well stocked for coffee lovers. As others have shared, the cottage is on a busy street and if you leave the windows open you can be awakened by trucks that start driving the road early in the morning. But with them closed there is little noise. The bed was also a bit stiff for my liking, but the pillows and duvet comforter were super comfy and soft. I hope we have the chance to return next summer!

This property is indeed cozy, lovely and the perfect place to stay. Facilities such as beaches, stores, vendors, sights, downtown areas and restaurants are incredibly convenient. This is a place to happily return and I look forward to doing so.

This was our second visit to this cottage, and we were happy to return. The cottage is clean, attractively decorated, and great for walking into town. We appreciate that it is reasonably priced. We had a wonderful time visiting the beach, shopping, eating out, visiting historic sites, and getting lots of exercise.
