Welcome to our cozy and secluded log cabin nestled in the heart of Snowshoe, West Virginia! This rustic retreat is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience the natural beauty of the Appalachian Mountains.

As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating and a cozy fireplace, making it the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or enjoy a movie. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and more!

Our custom log cabin features four bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen-sized bed and its own unique charm. There's also a loft area with two twin beds, perfect for children or additional guests. You'll find two full bathrooms, one on each floor, each with a shower and bathtub.

One of the best features of our log cabin is its private outdoor space 5 acres. You'll love spending time on the large deck, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forest. There's even a hot tub where you can relax and unwind after a day of exploring.

Our cabin also has a game room in the basement, complete with a foosball table, arcade games, and a washer and dryer for your convenience.

Located just a short distance from some of Snowshoe's best attractions, including the
Snowshoe Ski Resort, hiking trails, and fishing spots. You'll find plenty of great restaurants, shops, and entertainment options just a few minutes' drive away.

The cabin has a filtered 1000 gal rain water catch system, so we do have to conserve water but also have a fresh water well on the property.

We take pride in providing our guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We're always available to answer any questions you may have and offer recommendations on the best things to see and do in Snowshoe. We hope you'll choose our private log cabin for your next mountain getaway!

Prefect family vacation

Summer getaway

It was a very well equipped and comfortable cabin. The front deck was a highlight and we wished we had booked one more day just to spend another morning into night sitting there doing absolutely nothing.

Perfect family getaway

One of our absolute favorite home rental experiences ever! The cabin was perfectly appointed to include excellent mattresses of varying levels of firmness. Every member of the family was able to sleep like Goldilocks in a bed that was “just right”. We would love to come back next time we’re stateside!

A stay in beautiful West Virginia

During your time at the cabin, we toured the Green Bank Science Center, rode the Cass Railroad and walked through the botanical garden. We ate dinner at the ski resort twice. After each event, it was great to be able to return to the cabin in the woods and continue to enjoy the beautiful environment. The cabin was very comfortable. Our almost 5 year-old grandson LOVED the video games, as did several of the older folks.

Wonderful for ski trip

We came to stay for a ski trip. Cabin was immaculately clean, great amenities, quiet location, fun game room, good backyard hill for snow sledding, and good location for skiing. The host was incredibly helpful for helping us coordinate a few extra nights stay as our car had issues and needed to be towed to a shop a ways away. We hope to be back again! Excellent stay!

Ski Trip

We stayed at the cabin over NYE weekend and had a great time! The house is a 15-20 minute drive from the ski resort so we were able to ski each day that we were there. The cabin was very spacious and clean. Dennis was quick to respond each time we had a question. I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend.

Cozy cabin

Perfect cabin for our family vacation to Snowshoe. Plenty of bedrooms and a big bonus loft. Spacious bathrooms a plus! Our kids loved the game room and I liked the basement entrance for snow clothes/boots. We arrived in snow and departed with more snow and icy conditions so recommend a good terrain vehicle in the winter. We had cold weather (zero degree temps!) and cabin provided ample heating. Hot tub nice after our days on the slopes. I cooked all our family dinners which we prefer over restaurants… avoids the high prices and crowds on the mountain. Overall, perfect cabin in a quiet setting and close enough to enjoy all Snowshoe has to offer.

Cabin Base for Reunion Tour

This custom log cabin served me well for my family's annual return to Pocahontas County for reunion of friends. The BP with convenience market is just a few minutes south from the cabin. A short drive down Dry Branch Rd takes you to the Elk river with spots for fishing and swimming; Whitaker Falls is a local favorite swimming hole. Check- in was simple, driveway is wide, with wide parking area. The cabin has a hand crafted look, overall clean atmosphere and rooms had fresh linens. The hot tub was sanitized, warned up and ready for our arrival. Cabin water supply from the rain cistern was tasty and plentiful. It's bathrooms are spacious clean and up to date. Laundry room is well stocked and there is a water cooler in the dining area. There were spices and assorted dry staples in the cabinets, we used some and left some. For guests with limited mobility, note that access to kitchen floor and hot tub requires climbing stairs. The host was accomodating, responsive and prompt in communications. A few other houses in the VRBO app refused our certified service dogs (illegally), but Dennis welcomed us without hesitation. We enjoyed the place and our host made it easy to add a day to extend the stay.

The Cabin

This cabin was very clean and very well supplied and we had a really nice time. The aerial view makes it look like it's out in a field, but it's tucked away on the property. Very secluded. We saw deer in the yard eating from the trees. Easy drive to the top of the mountain.

Great place to stay

We loved it. Although it rained off and on for a few of the days we were there, having the air hockey table and Ms. Pac Man machined kept us all entertained. The hot tub was terrific. Thank you, Dennis, for being such a great host !

Lovely Mountain Getaway

The property is clean and inviting. We enjoyed the downtime in the mountains. In a dark zone so the night sky is perfect for star gazing. Lots to do within an hour or less drive. The owner is friendly and welcoming. Hope to stay again.

Perfect house for a large group

We really enjoyed our stay! We had a group of moms & teenage boys for a Snowshoe ski weekend and the house was just perfect! There was plenty of room for all. The house was much cuter than the pictures and had everything we needed! We loved the hot tub and well stocked kitchen. We rented skis and snowboards up the street at the Ski Barn. The house was only about 15-20 minutes from Snowshoe village. It snowed while we were there so we opted to take the free shuttle to the mountain. Super easy & convenient! The grocery story was about 45 mins out so I’d recommend prepping ahead of time. The owners had great communication & answered all our questions in a timely manner. We will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome fun-filled weekend!
