'Southern Comfort' Only 2 Blocks from the Beach!

Only 2 blocks from the beach, this unique rental home is the perfect get-a-way. Enjoy peaceful, quiet nights, in this residential atmosphere. The ocean breeze will completely relax you on the large upstairs screened in porch under the massive oak trees.

We own and maintain this gorgeous vacation home and stay there often. It is well maintained and has just been recently updated with new appliances, new tile floors downstairs and completely painted inside. The house is fully furnished and the kitchen has everything you need.

The upstairs features two large bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a pillow top queen size bed. Both bedrooms have HD TV as does the large family room upstairs that opens up into the kitchen with an entrance onto the screened in porch. Our kitchen offers everything you need if you prefer to cook, including a new gas grill on the porch. There is a full size bathroom with a tub/shower upstairs.

Downstairs has another family room with HD TV so adults and children can each have their privacy. There is a third large bedroom with a double bed and a twin bunk on top, as well as a full bathroom and laundry room. The couch downstairs is a convertable queen size bed as well.

Tybee Island was originally called, the 'Savannah Beach' and for good reason. It's only 15-20 minutes from downtown Savannah. You can enjoy the beach all summer long or tour the island on the Tybee Shuttle. Our home is less than five minutes to the nearest boat ramp, shopping, and plenty of restaurants with fresh local seafood. If you can't bring your boat, there are plenty of fishing charters available. There's no way you won't enjoy your stay. Our home is a 3 minute walk to the beach with the beautiful sand dunes.

You should make definite plans to venture into beautiful Historic Savannah. River Street is an absolute must with shopping and award winning cuisine. There you can watch some of the worlds largest container ships sail right by you on the Savannah River literally only hundreds of feet away. Experience Savannah through the Trolley Tours, Ghost Tours and visit the many National Historic Monuments.

Second stay, still love it!

This property is perfect for our family. Two blocks from the 7th street beach entrance but still very quiet and peaceful. We’ll be back again next year!

Grad week

This is a very nice quaint cottage, as we call them in New England, easy access to everything on Tybee. The Beach is very close and a very clean one. The area of Tybee we were on is very quiet and relaxing.

Wonderful place

This home was well furnished and super close to the beach. Had plenty of room for me for grandchildren and two more adults. Highly recommend

Perfect week at Tybee

I stayed here with my family of 5, and found that it was a perfect choice. The house is close enough to the beach that we walked the 2 blocks every morning and afternoon. The 7th street beach entrance is very quiet, though there isn’t anything notable nearby (markets, restaurants, etc). Both a pro and a con as it keeps the crowds away. The outdoor shower was a bigger plus than we were anticipating, as it kept a LOT of sand out of the house. The shower is also fully enclosed and private. We will absolutely be returning to this property in the future.

Great Place and Great Value

Solid place to stay on Tybee right near the 7th Street beach access point, quiet and large house, 2 blocks from ocean - can't go wrong!

Second time staying here

Overall stay was good. Stayed here last year as well. I had to wipe down upstairs toilet when we arrived didn’t look very clean and had problems with downstairs shower and toilet but Gary is super responsive and helpful. Love the location. I’m sure we will be back soon.

Comfortable family home

If you are looking for a new, posh beach house —this isn’t it. If you are looking for a very clean, comfortable, well stocked family home this is the place!!!! We stayed here for a long weekend with our adult children and 2 toddler grandchildren. The first thing we noted was how clean the house was and how well stocked the kitchen was with pots, pans etc. The house is on side street, but a short easy walk to both the beach and a great park for the kids The only important note- if you are traveling with toddlers make sure you bring a baby gate as the stairs are quite open. The house was supposed to have one, but didn’t and fortunately we had brought one along. All in all, we would gladly stay here again.

Family vacation 2022

We brought 2 of our kids and 3 grandchildren on this trip. The house was a great fit for us. Lots of space for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor shower. We cooked some meals at the house and enjoyed several of the restaurants. We enjoyed the beach, the lighthouse, kayaking, jetski s and a dolphin cruise and the Marine science center. We ate at the crab shack, Pier 16 and Stingrays. All good places to eat! Only downside was the jellyfish in the water for 2 of the days we stayed on the beach. Overall great vacation!🙂 Stephens Family

Location is great!

The walk to beach is so easy, beach itself is clean and not crowded. Outside shower was a huge help, especially for the young children. The drive to Savannah was easy as well. Would definitely stay here afain!

We had a great time at the Merriman's beach house. Direct, easy walk to the beach, plenty of space, and well-stocked. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent Stay!

My family of 6 were thrilled with our stay here. The owner was very responsive. The house had everything we needed and is in a great location. We loved the porch for hanging out, nice yard, outdoor shower and it was a short walk to the beach. Close to lots of food, shops and a quick drive to Savannah. We loved it and would stay here again.

Interesting Design

Adjustments had to be made to accommodate the children's sleep environment. It wasn't safe to have the young children sleeping a level below the parents. Otherwise everything was made available for family use. All tv's worked except the one on the lower level. Everyone stayed mostly on the second level so it was not used.

Great location!

We had a great time on Tybee Island. The house was everything we expected. Clean, comfy, and close to the beach. We rented bikes for the week which made getting around more fun for the whole family. Gary was very quick to reply to my questions. 5/5 stars!!!

Awesome

Me, my husband, my brother and 4 kids stayed here and it was awesome. The property was clean and a 5 min walk to the beach. The house is tucked away on a quiet street with a great screened in porch area. We accidently locked the keys in the house and Gary was quick to help us. We will definitely be staying here again. I would highly recommend.

Perfect family beach house!

I stayed with my husband, mom, sister, and her 3 kiddos (ages 5 and 7 yr old twins) and this was such a great place for us. The outdoor shower especially was a godsend - as was having the kids' room on the lower level! Super close to the beach and plenty of space. Highly recommend!

Great Space

Great open spaces for families to gather and hang out! We all loved the screened in porch and the beautiful trees around it. It felt so private and was enjoyable all the time...even when the weather was raining. Walk to beach was so easy! Upstairs bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Love having a luggage rack in each room to unpack. Tip: Bring hangers if you like to hang your clothes.Great having outdoor shower and hose and easy to drop towels in downstairs washer and dryer on way into the house. Great house and a great time! We would definitely book this home again!
