Great Gatlinburg getaway!

The home was beautiful! It was perfect for two families of four. Loved all of the games and the hot tub. The sauna needs some work. Other than that, it was perfect! Close to food and activities. Definitely would need a 4 wheel drive if snowing or icy.

Nice place

It was as advertised. Almost everything worked and it was clean and well equipped. The stove oven needs work and the spa didnt work but everything else was very nice. If we ever come back to the Gatlinberg area we would consider staying there again.

Great Location

We had a wonderful stay. The house was far enough away from the city center for privacy but close enough that the drive into the city was quick and easy. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The kids loved having all the different games to play. We had a low battery alarm on one of the smoke alarms going off and they were very quick to send someone out to fix it. We only had one bear sighting early in the morning, he smelled our cars then headed on his way when he didn’t smell any food.

Gatlinburg was super crowded.

With Gatlinburg so crowed we will provenly not return to that area. The house was fine.

Great view

Beautiful view. Great customer service with Eden Crest. The listing said well stocked kitchen - not the case. Be sure to bring spatulas and a pair of scissors. They did have 4 cork pull wine openers so guests should be good there. The house is populated with centipedes but not sure there is anything that can be done for that. Bring extra towels as we were doing a load of towels every other day. The listing also said there is a crib - there is not. Also said that there is a crate rental - also NO. The listing needs updated.

Stunning view

Overall the home was spacious and had great amenities such as games and media room. This kept our kids busy during down time. The views from the home are what sold this place and didn’t disappoint. We even had a few bears visit! My only feedback would be to include more towels and cleaning supplies. We received two dishwasher tabs and zero cleaning supplies for 6 nights. We ended up purchased some kitchen countertop cleaner since we spent many dinners at the home and wanted to clean up. Some basic cleaning supplies under the sink would be helpful for guests to help keep the home tidy during their stay.

Weekend Get Away

This is the second time that we have stayed in this home. It has always been clean and well stocked. The location is convenient to Gatlinburg and easily accessible to Pigeon Forge using the back roads which helps with bypassing traffic. This getaway has things for all ages ranging from a sauna to video games. Even though the above is a nice addition, the real gem is the view from the upstairs balcony. It overlooks Gatlinburg and gives you a bird's eye view of the Smokies. Additionally, we have been visited by a curious black bear minding his own business. I would definitely stay here again.

Above it All

This property was perfect for my family! There were three separate living levels so everyone in my group had their own space. We had 3 children/toddlers and there were so many activities to entertain them when we were in the cabin. From the hot tub to the jacuzzies to the games, we were constantly entertained. This cabin comes with a bear that seems to come by about 8:00am. He was completely passive and just walks by. We took alot of photos, but just be aware. He scratched my car door on the first day, but that's life in the mountains. I loved everything about this cabin, but when the ad says "above it all", keep in mind that that means it is on top of a mountain. That provides majestic views, but the ride to the top is a thrill every time. We turned into the wrong drive on the first day and there was no room to back up. We slid halfway down the mountain. It was scary then, but funny now. I highly recommend this cabin!

Loved everything about this place!

The home was beautiful! So close to everything but so peaceful! The views were amazing, and we saw lots of bears everyday we were there! If you need a large place to stay with family I would absolutely recommend this place!

Great view. Minutes from downtown Gatlinburg

The cabin was just like it was listed. Lots of amenities. The hot tub, sauna and pool table were a big hit. The view was great.I would suggest trimming some of the tops of the smaller trees for a better view. Eden Crest offered complimentary tickets to some big attractions which saved us a lot of money. I would have given a five star review but we had internet issues and the internet was hit and miss. We weren’t sure if the TV’s were on wrong HDMI input because there were no instructions on how to use the TV’s, (cable, satellite, app.)? we are NOT technically challenged either so that wasn’t the issue. The theater would have been nice but no signal most of the time. We contacted help but they were asking what type of tv and what does the remote look like. Something I really don’t want to deal with while on vacation. They sent out a technician to troubleshoot and he said he was going to request a Roku. The internet finally came back on, but we never got the Roku. I called to have the trash picked up and by the time we got back it had been picked up. If you like board games, you will need to bring your own but they do have a couple of puzzles. It would be nice to have a throw blanket or two for the couch since those are leather and it gets chilly. There are plenty of towels for each level. You will need to bring everything if you are cooking, salt, paper etc. There are plenty of Corelle plates, bowls and coffee cups. We would stay at this cabin again.

Natures retreat

Beautiful views and excellent location to down town Gatlinburg. Nice amenities and very spacious. Loved the game rooms and movie theater. Well worth the price. We enjoyed ourselves very much. The driveway is a bit steep, but the view makes up for it. Even got to experience a bear sighting. Definitely would rent this cabin again.

Good and Bad

This is a property with plenty of rooms and bathrooms which is very convenient. The views were fantastic. The hot tub and sauna were used and enjoyed frequently. The sauna wall is coming apart at the corner though. We enjoyed the convenience of Alexa. Overall a nice place on the surface but maintenance is not a priority which becomes apparent and makes you question the price you are paying. Two of the bar stools are going to fall apart if the wrong person sits on them. The downstairs fan blades aren't all screwed in so when we turned it on, it made clunking noises and wobbled. Three of the five upstairs windows, which gets warm because it is the upper level, can't be opened because they're broken. My father actually got out his tools so he could fix the upstairs door since it wouldn't actually close. The towel bar upstairs is broken. The game tables could use some upkeep too. The creaking of the downstairs beds was horrible at night, made it difficult to sleep. Scissors in the kitchen would also be extremely useful. Who doesn't have scissors?! And with that large cleaning fee I wouldn't expect to have to make sure every piece of trash is taken out and all dirty towels are brought to the same bathroom... Also, when we arrived, a window had recently been broken on the first floor and was covered in duct tape, which doesn't seem the safest choice with all of the watch out for bears signs around the place; plus there were still pieces of glass on the floor which my mom cleaned up because when we called no one told us when someone would come to clean it. By the way, I have photos of all of this and saved texts communicating these issues to the rental people where they didn't bother to respond. Communication was pretty good with the rental before we arrived but once we were there and had issues, they weren't the most helpful. To checkout, they want you to call but we were placed on hold with their automated system and we were ready to leave for our 12 hour drive home so I sent a text and locked the place with the code and alarm and didn't hear back for over 30 minutes. Like I said, there was some good and bad but maintenance is definitely not their priority

Wonderful cabin for a great family vacation

This cabin is absolutely amazing with something for everyone. Our 5, 8, and 15 year old had plenty to do and plenty of space. The cabin is gorgeous with and indoor outdoor fireplace, as well as fireplaces in 2 of the bedrooms. The kids were able to take up the entire bottom floor, while the adults had plenty of space in the top two floors. On top of that the view from the back porch and hot tub were amazing. Yes, the drive is steep, but not unusual in the smokies and by far, not the worst. We loved this place, and think you will too.

Very family friendly and great views

House was very clean. Driveway was steep but worth the incredible views. Family loved being close to downtown Gatlinburg and the house was very comfortable. Kids loved all the games and entertainment us all.

Nice property with issues

The home is very nice and clean. The check in process is easy. However, we did have several issues including a broken toilet bowl (it was fixed), the hot tub not working and then once it was “fixed” we could not adjust the temperature, as the buttons are worn out, and it was too hot to use, a broken handle on the foos ball table and the “movie theater” TV didn’t work the entire time we were there. Additionally, the internet was very spotty and kept shutting down. The issue with the internet is that every TV in the home is a smart TV and relies on streaming to be able to use it. We were traveling with kids and teens and all of these issues made for some very unhappy kids. Additionally, the road up to the home is extremely steep. We have an all wheel drive car and at times, especially when it was wet, our truck was skidding to get up the incline. I do not recommend this property for anyone who does not have 4-wheel/AWD. I did contact the management company with all these issues and was told someone would call me once we checked out. It’s been 11 days since we checked out and I have not heard from anyone despite emailing again.

Great Trip But…

The house is beautiful, and us city dwellers got up see a live bear walk between our cars. The house was very comfortable, there was lots of room for all 8 of us and we would definitely consider coming back to that house. Our only issue was the spotty wifi. When we booked there was no mention of this. When we contacted the property manager to fix the issue, someone came promptly and explained the satellite communication in the smoky mountains is spotty at best and weather can be a factor. When we asked, why we weren’t informed prior to booking, they said, because we booked through a third party, this information is not passed on. When we arrived, a very clear list on how the home should be left when we leave was provided. I wish that sort of importance was placed on full disclosure of the technology available.

Amazing

The cabin was amazing and the management was some of the best I’ve worked with. They called to check in to ask how everything was. The view was breathtaking and conveniently located within 5 mins of downtown. Loved everything about this stay.
