Amazing views, estate-like grounds, direct lakefront, gentle beach slope all just a few steps away from your front door.

Year round home features: 4 Bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 2 doubles), 2.5 baths, laundry room with washer and dryer, den, kitchen with dining area and living room.

Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, sunbathing, and relaxing on your own private beach. Refresh in the enclosed outdoor shower after a day in the sun. View the stars at night from a lakeside campfire or from the large screened-in porch.

The private road leads to only a handful of lakefront homes on the North Shore of Isle LaMotte. Over an acre of land, perfect for volleyball, bocce ball, frisbee or just hanging out.

Perfect getaway for couples or families. Watch the sailboats go by in the morning while you enjoy a cup of coffee from the oversized craftsman rocking chair on the porch. Dogs welcomed!

Nearby attractions include: Alburgh Golf Course & Restaurant (.3 miles), Alburgh Dunes State Park (best sandy beach on Lake Champlain 3 miles), Fisk Farm and Quarry (some of the oldest fossils in the United States, located right on Isle LaMotte).

Nlnoce quiet time on the lake

Rental process was east, owners were very responsive, house was as advertised (actually seemed nicer in person). We were very pleased with our stay.

Nice house to stay.

Stayed here in July 2022, interior of the house was clean an organized and was as described in the listing. Owners were very responsive. Houses in this part of the world don't have AC so keep the ceiling fans on and windows open. Luckily it cools off at night. Only one night in mid-July was above 65 during our stay. The house faces North so you don't get direct sun on the house in the evening or morning. Beds were comfortable as well - no complaints. The master shower didn't have water pressure but not a big deal as there other shower did plus there's an outdoor shower as well. One TV has Roku which is nice as you can use the guest log in to access your accounts. There's a larger TV that didn't seem to work but no big deal. Internet has decent speed as well. The back porch could uses a cleaning - lot's of bugs on the siding. The propane grill's electric starter didn't work so you'll need to use a match. My personal grill starter is broken as well so it seems to be a common issue with electric starters. Again, not a big deal. There's floaties in the shed a long with other items (fishing poles, etc..) which is nice. The property is about an acre which is nice as there aren't too many people around. Fogs are everywhere so if you have kids they'll have fun catching them. For the lake you'll want water shoes - just watch out for jet skis.

Nose plugs and Traps

Stayed 8 nights. Bedrooms & hall have carpet. Upon our arrival, we immediately noticed that the master bedroom and hall carpet was damp, stained and had an extremely strong urine odor. The numerous humid days with little breeze didn't help dry or dissipate the odor which lingered for several days. We saw a mouse multiple times and droppings in the pantry where we kept our dry goods, such as cereal and chips. We purchased traps at Dollar General but they weren't good quality and the mouse continued to enjoy multiple meals. If not for these instances, we would have given a good review. This experience has taught us to not rent accommodations that have carpet if they allow pets.

Beautiful Getaway

I stayed at this property with a group of 4 adults and 4 children between the ages of 5 and 9. The house has plenty of space in all the right places including double living rooms that allow for all to spread out and bathrooms to comfortably accommodate this size group. The outdoor area has privacy, space and a breathtaking view. There are plenty of supplies for lake activities as well as kitchen items. The host is thorough and very responsive. This is truly a special spot!

Summer Fun

We spent a week here with our 5 adult children. There was lots of room and a beautiful location. All of the necessary amenities were there and close to a golf course. It would also be great if you have little ones with a play area an shallow, calm water. We will be back.

Lovely house

This house is large, comfortable, clean and flexible. We loved the big yard in front for our dog and the screened-in porch by the lake. The landlord was great to deal with.

Lake house in our future

This property had everything we need Ed’s do more. The family ranged in age from 14 - 62. The neighborhood is private and quiet. The backyard is set so you feel like you are on the island alone. Wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Adequate home in amazing location

This rental is all about location. If you are looking to be out of town on a quiet island this is the place. The sunsets are amazing and the overall peaceful surroundings are hard to beat. The property is adequate for a week's time. The amenities are minimal and we had to bring a lot of personal items to make the place feel comfortable (ie: dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, linens, towels, laundry detergent etc.) Lake Champlain is also know to have algae issues, especially during the hotter days of summer and unfortunately this property experienced just that. I think it's important for the listing to make that known to potential renters especially if they have children. There were several days our kids were unable to use the beach because of the amount of algae present. We escaped to a near by sandy dune beach, but our intent was to use the beach we had rented. It's nothing anyone can control, but important for people to know prior to booking. Communication with the owner was a breeze and response times were fast. That was greatly appreciated.

Isle la Monte gem

Very nice property. Lots of room both inside and out. Generous supply of floats, life vests and lawn furniture. House is spacious with well stocked kitchen. Most beautiful sunsets.

It is a great place

We really enjoyed out stay. The house is set up very well with bedrooms in the back with a wonderful porch, a portion of which is screened facing the lake . It is very private with plenty of room for family activities.

Quiet VT Vacation

This property was beautiful with direct lakefront access. Our family of 6 and 1 fur baby enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately the rental before us did not treat the house like their own and our first several hours were spent informing the home owner of issues. That being said, Steve was very responsive and worked with us to resolve the issues....his communication was fast and thorough. Our family has rented several summer vacation homes and we are always respectful of the properties, treating them like our own. We felt badly for the damage caused by others. We would not hesitate to rent this property again. Thank you, Gail & Steve.

Great family getaway

This place was great. We went up in the beginning of July with my family, parents and brother. Had a dog and 9 month old with us too. It was great to get in the water and bike around town. Only unfortunate part was the last day the guy came and mowed the lawn while we were grilling and the baby was woken up by it (7ish pm) and it was SO hot in the two rooms toward the front of the house(89 in babies room) no matter how hard we tried to close up the house and had 8 fans going trying to circulate from the cooler rooms throughout the day. I do highly recommend this place though. Steve is VERY responsive which is great if you need anything. Great R&R for the week!

Even better than expected!

Pictures don’t do it justice! The house is very spacious and the location is beautiful on the water and is fairly private! The house stays cool even on hot days as it’s shaded most of the time. The owner was a pleasure to communicate with. Had a canoe, fish poles, and lots of floats to use. I would highly recommend this rental. If we could choose one thing for improvement it would be more silverware and cooking utensils.

Perfect vacation

Great week in Isle la Motte

We had a wonderful week at this property. The location is excellent if you want a quiet or active vacation. We enjoyed eating dinner on the screened in porch and being able to swim, paddle board, canoe or just chill on the lake. The water in August is nice (74+) so its also refreshing on a hot day! The house is very spacious and has all the conveniences - NO A/C since you don't usually need that in VT, but the house was clean when we arrived and the owner provided a bottle of wine - THANK YOU! Everything worked as described, we had an easy time communicating with Steve. Overall a great stay!

Beautiful, Serene Lakeside Getaway

A Dynamite house in a beautiful, quiet, prime location! Steve and Gail have obviously put a great deal of careful work into their meticulously kept lakefront retreat. We were a family of four (two kids, 9 and 13) and two elderly grandparents (both 86). This property was suited to each of us. It was easy for the grandparents to get around, and the lake off the back porch provided the kids with 24/7 fun. The house is quite spacious with four good sized bedrooms and an open concept living/kitchen/dining area with a large den off the kitchen. Even our persnickety (but sweet and loving) dog was comfortable there. The house is centrally located to several small towns and a marina on Grand Isle that rents boats. Isle LaMotte has a few interesting and tasty points of interest including Mama Dog's food truck and cafe near the Fisk Farm and the chicken farm about 50 feet down the road from North Shore rd. that has homemade chicken pies, chicken sausage and fruit pies, all of which are super high quality and soooo delicious. When we were considering this property, we had a bit of concern about the lack of A/C but do not be discouraged! The breeze off the lake combined with the ceiling fans in almost every room were more than enough to make for a cool and comfortable sleep even when the temp. was in the mid-80's during day. I would recommend this house to any family looking to get away, reconnect, recharge and enjoy lakeside living for a few days or a week or so. Thanks to Steve and Gail for offering such a high quality and affordable vacation house.

Lovely house in a lovely location

Beautiful home! Open design gives you beautiful views of the lake from the kitchen, dining area, and both living rooms. Can catch sunsets as well! All the rooms are conveniently on one level but it is a spacious house so plenty of privacy and separation. Our 7 month old early riser didn't wake up the others : ) The house is equipped with everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy the lake.
