Indulge in river relaxation at the Klickitat River Inn. Enjoy the soothing sounds of the river while taking the breathtaking views of the Klickitat River.

This is a 2 bedroom/1 bath house that can sleep up to 6 comfortably.

The house is equipped with many features that will ensure pure relaxation and comfort:

Private patio with grass area, lounge chairs and fire pit. Use of amazing cover deck as well.

**Dogs are welcome upon prior approval. There is an additional cost of $20/night per dog prefer cash upon arrival!

This place is truly magical and is the PERFECT staycation / vacation getaway! There is big country but little cell reception must use WiFi calling option. No fear though, we have Wifi available on the property. if you want to look up some fun activities, places to go or send out a few emails.

The Columbia River Gorge offers many things to do…your adventure awaits! It’s a place for those who like nature at its best!

We provide firewood bundles onsite for a small fee, but you are welcome to bring your own! Except during County wide Burn Ban usually June 1- Sept 30.

Klickitat River Inn

Renter beware!!! This home is surrounded by what I can only describe as Meth houses.. The host was impossible to reach and gave us inaccurate instructions to obtain the keys to the home. There is zero cell reception, so we were at the mercy of someone checking on us to make sure we arrived. After waiting quite some time the host showed up and gave us a generic code to obtain the house keys. As we unloaded our luggage, the host follows us in the home with her three dogs who ran through the house jumping on everything and everyone. The host stops me to tell me that her nephew recently robbed her and that the window in the kitchen was still broken, she hadn’t had time to have the window fixed before we arrived. The host was unable to secure the window shut until my husband was able to force the window closed. I called VRBO immediately as we did not feel safe staying in the house and they offered me $100 for my inconvenience. We were forced to stay overnight as there were no other close accommodations and at that point it was too late at night to drive anywhere else. That night someone attempted to break in the home, but was unsuccessful because my husband placed chairs against the doors. In the morning someone had pooped near the front door (clearly human)… We left that day.

Cozy little spot on the river

Perfect location for fishing, this time of year. Close to wineries. Close to Columbia Gorge and wonderful observatory !

The cabin was clean and right on the river. Beautiful setting and the host was fantastic with a few extra touches to make our stay memorable!

Klickitat River Inn Dreamboat

We love the River Inn! The hosts Guy and Linda go above and beyond. Its truly a beautiful relaxing setting. The house is well stocked and cozy. We were traveling for our birthday and anniversary, Guy left got us a little gift and decorated! The hospitality! Really wonderful genuine people that own and operate the Inn. We've had the pleasure of seeing an otter family from the patio. Many deer, birds, fish. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful spot

We got bumped from our original rental in Klickitat so this was an alternate choice. We were a little concerned about the house and condo being back to back, but the set up was very nice and private. Loved, loved , loved the back yard on the river. Chairs and tables were lovely. House was clean and very well stocked with all the essentials. We can see coming here again.

Never again

We found the description in the listing to be incomplete and misleading. The Inn advertises that it sleeps 6 (only has 3 mattresses), but our family of 5 was charged a $90 “additional guest fee.” The surrounding rental units and neighborhood location give the inn a communal and public feel. There is a nearby cliff jumping spot and launch off point for rafting; we heard explicit conversations/music during the day, and “soothing sounds of the river” only morning and night. The laundry facility is attached to the kitchen in the main house, so we easily heard the workers conversations, phones, and music. Along with the trundle bed missing a mattress, the phone ringing with calls for the landlord, and the sugar ants - we did not feel we were “relaxing in luxury.” Guy was highly accommodating while giving us space and privacy; he even prepared and guided us on two rafting trips down the river. Beware: Klickitat (a town of 300 people) is in the aftermath of a meth epidemic and is in a decrepit state.

My review

They were very kind and helpful when we were unable to find a wine opener, even going as far as bringing another over when it became apparent the original was gone. The house was cozy and clean and the atmosphere was wonderful. We are already planning our next trip back!

Slight hiccup with the key box code, other than that a nice place with everything you'll need. If you enjoy grilling by a river on a sunny afternoon this is the place to be.

Great house ....incredible location

We were delighted with our stay in Klickitat and the Inn was just right. The patio was lovely right on the river...so peaceful, with comfortable seating a nice nice fire pit. Linda was very attentive and made the visit feel like home. Nice linens too - a personal big deal! We’ll be back!

Perfect Getaway!

We really enjoyed our 4th of July stay at Klickitat River Inn! My husband and brother spent the whole time fishing right from the backyard. I had a lot of beautiful scenery to watercolor while they fished. The kids really enjoyed the yard, river, and watching the fireworks. The Dogs enjoyed their stay, too. Linda even gave us a huge amount of squash from her garden; some of which I turned into zucchini bread yesterday. Very friendly and helpful owners. Lovely outdoor patio with a firepit and outdoor fireplace. Very clean and comfortable home. Thanks Linda, we'll be back!

Fantastic

We loved our stay and the place looks much better than the advertised photos. Relaxing in front of the river and having our breakfast and dinner in the patio overlooking the river was beautiful. Our 11 year old son also loved fishing right from the bank of the house.

Charming and clean!

This place is a Diamond in the rough. At first glance coming into town you are not quite sure what to expect and then you come upon this great property on the river. They have thought of everything to help make your stay comfortable and easy. Linda is great and extremely helpful. She even did some research for us on the area as we were looking for a fun snow area for our kids. It is a comfortable and cozy home that we would definitely recommend.

Quiet, comfy, remote

Our stay in the main house was just what we were hoping for! We enjoyed a fire outside while listening to the river and watching the stars. Lazy mornings in the well appointed kitchen watching a couple deer on the hillside. Perfect when you need to get away from the city!

Klickitat River Inn as pretty and peaceful as the pictures !

Idyllic spot on the Klickitat River , we stayed in the main house; completely furnished with everything you could possibly need, classy updated decor, yet warm and homey, and views of river were amazing from living area, literally steps to the river bank. Small town of Klickitat is very friendly, always a hello from locals (Do not miss the BEST steaks in Huntington’s Restaurant , and check out the historic Klickitat museum ) Owners , Linda and Lindsay have taken great care in offering a special retreat. As of May 2018, Klickitat River Inn has new ownership and will be ran by Linda and Lindsay. This mother daughter duo are excited to provide amazing experiences for those who like to soak up nature and escape the busyness of life.

It has been a dream of Linda’s to have something she could run close to home. When she found out her daughter Lindsay had decided to move back to Washington State after many years, she was so excited to have an adventure to share with her. Linda and Lindsay are co-managers of the Inn.

Lindsay has always had a passion for Hospitality and has experience working in many different faucets of the industry in Sonoma County, from Wineries to Catering. Moving back to Washington State has given her the opportunity to put her passion and experience to good use by working with her mom to provide an amazing River Getaway experience at the Klickitat River Inn.

Together they hope to provide their customers with a one-of-a-kind vacation to remember!

Our property is nestled along the Klickitat River in the little town of Klickitat, Washington. The Inn was built in 1935 but has since been renovated with great modern updates that allow you to feel at home while escaping the busy working life. Klickitat River Inn has multiple accommodations and each one is special in their own way. As of now, we offer an amazing Main House and 2 Studio Suites with 2 more on the way. The property has an enchanting yard and patio areas that soak up great shade for those hot days, direct access to the river and lush greenery that enhance the amazing water views.
