3 Bedroom, 1 bath, 950 square foot, sleeps 7 , eastern facing Lakefront Cottage with front deck. Approximate GPS of dock 43.6410166 - 71.3170510
Recently renovated cottage with living room, eat in kitchen and queen bedroom on first level. Queen bedroom and 3rd bedroom with bunk beds and single bed in same room and full bath on second floor. Inside balcony on second floor looks down into living room. Linens and towels provided.
Cottage water is from the Lake with filtration, no chemical treatment added. The cottage has bottled Spring Water available for drinking purposes.
The cottage is accessible by boat only. Boat launching is available at several locations, 19 Mile Bay (Union Landing) several miles away with parking for car and boat trailer. Public dock available for daytime docking only. A launching ramp is also available at the end of Long Island Road, parking here is roadside and very limited, there is a public dock with very limited availability. Rental boats are available at local Marina's, with contact information that we can provide as part of the booking process. We suggest you kindly check boat rental prices prior to booking as they can be higher than the property charges.
The cottage is not handicapped accessible, there are stairs into the house and to the second floor bathroom.
Complete kitchen with accessories, new refrigerator, gas stove, coffee maker, toaster oven and microwave. Wireless internet access and ROKU HD television with wireless Blue Ray DVD player. No cable TV.
Cottage shares dock for up to a 26' boat and water access with owners cottage next door, shore frontage is rocky with steps into the Lake, no sandy beach, but sandy lake bottom at base of steps. Owner or owners family may be in the cottage next door.
No laundry facilities available in the cottage.
Cottage has 2 different length canoes, 2 kayaks, a 3 person sea kayak and a paddle board available.
Dogs permitted (2) for extra fee and proof of current vaccinations for Rabies and Distemper, other pets considered.

Beautiful location and very nice hosts. Loved having water and linens provided. The kitchen was a bit small and lacking room for preparing meals and clean up. It was a bit difficult getting in kayaks since there was no sandy beach. But all in all it was a great vacation spot!

Beautiful vintage lakeside cottage but with all the modern amenities. Very well stocked kitchen, soft bed linens, loads of towels.We swam every day, used the kayaks, best of all was lounging on the porch. We had a perfect relaxed vacation!!

This was our 3rd stay in the past 3 years. I can’t say enough about the courtesy of the host. Above and beyond any other host I’ve dealt with. Same as the property, I can’t say enough about how pleasant it is to stay there. The house has always been above expectations. Me and my son look forward to the next year as soon as we leave the lake. Can’t have a better, relaxing, enjoyable vacation anywhere else. The only problem is that the week goes by to fast. We never want to leave. These vacations on Bear Island are memories that can never be forgotten or taking away from my family. We are already looking so forward to next year. Greg, thank you so very much for the stay and the memories that you give us.

Wonderful Get Away
Greg’s house on Little Bear is absolutely wonderful. The lake is great, it’s tucked in a quiet spot, and has everything you’d ever need. I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Perfect island getaway
Comfortable home, fully appointed for family/boat life on the lake. Great location! The owners/next door neighbor were very welcoming and make you feel like a part of the family.

Awesome trip!
We loved staying in this cabin on Little Bear Island - Location and view were stellar! Enjoyed swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding.
The neighbors were super nice too.
Great experience overall!

Perfect getaway!
Little Bear Island and it’s inhabitants were welcoming and despite the poor weather, we had a fantastic time taking advantage of the gorgeous views and nature. We will surely return!!

Just what I needed
The Barsanti family where very friendly and accommodating.
The house was spacious and clean plenty of games on hand for rainy day entertainment

The best place to stay on the lake!!!
We absolutely love staying on Little Bear Island! As avid boaters, it is such a unique experience to be able to stay on an island (and something we'd never be able to afford otherwise!!)!!! This property is perfect for our low-key and relaxing family weekend. The owners are such fantastic people and make you feel like family when you're there! The property is lovely and has everything we could ask for. We look forward to many more Memorial Day weekends on Little Bear!!!

Best Birthday Ever
Absolutely beautiful place!! Owners are extremely friendly and fast to respond with any questions. Celebrated my wife’s birthday here and she fell in love with the place. Very clean, private, and peaceful. 5 stars all the way.

Fantastic
The Greg and his family could not have been nicer. The property was clean and bedrooms fresh. The bathroom was nice as was the kitchen. It was great to explore another part of the lake.

Just Right!
Wife and I wanted a comfortable island experience on Lake Winnipesaukee and this was just the right fit! My wife, our dog and I had a great weekend at this affordable island house. Hosts were responsive throughout the process whenever we had questions. Thanks for a memorable weekend!

Wonderful September stay
Our family had a wonderful stay at Little Bear Island the first week in September. It was a truly great stay. We enjoyed the house and being able to spend time on the water.
The communication before and during our stay was excellent and the guidance on how to navigate to the island dock was so appreciated.
We rented a boat from Trexler's Marina and they also provided excellent and responsive service.
Our family, including kids were so grateful for the chance to spend a week on this island and to be on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Once again, couldn’t ask for a better stay, so peaceful and such a kind, helpful host. Coming to the house has such a comfortable, relaxing feeling. Everything is perfect and just waiting for our arrival. I would give 10 stars if I was able. The whole family couldn’t be happier. Thanks again to the host and we will see you again next year.

Peaceful and Enjoyable Getaway
This home exceeded our expectations! It had everything we needed and more. My husband and two boys (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed fishing and kayaking, while I soaked up the gorgeous sunrises and swam in the lake. It’s the perfect location with so much to do in the area from hiking trails with waterfalls to nice beach spots on the lake. The owners are wonderful people who were more than accommodating with any questions and concerns we had. We can’t wait to go back!

Had an amazing week-long getaway here with my husband and our dog. The island property is perfectly located with easy access to the dock, which made for a nice week of boating and fishing. It was such a peaceful, relaxing escape, and the home had everything we needed. A highlight was spotting a group of deer right in the backyard during our stay. Greg was incredibly welcoming and accommodating in our communication and went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready for our stay. He was even so thoughtful about other dogs in the area while our pup was with us recovering from leg surgery. We would definitely love to return!

Overall fantastic experience, great host/family, beautiful and clean home.
Just a great stay, can’t say enough about the host, house and property, well kept, great dock for the boat, this property is the definition of a vacation home. Everything you need is there, the host goes above and beyond to make sure the guest are happy. The area on the island is beautiful with great views. Nothing at all negative to say about the host and property. Had such a relaxing and great time with just me and my 18 yr old son, great fishing as well. Thanks again the the host.
