This wonderful Kihei Akahi, 1 bedroom / 1 bath, ocean view condo has been remodeled and professionally decorated in a Hawaiian style with artwork from local artists. You'll find everything you need to relax and immerse yourself in the Aloha spirit of Maui.

The condo is perfect for special people like you who enjoy the luxury of having that first cup of coffee sitting on the lanai, watching the changing colors of the sky and ocean, smelling the scent of plumeria and listening to the birds sing. Or enjoy a Maui sunset sipping a Mai Tai before a romantic moonlight walk on the beach.

A fully equipped kitchen allows you to make your favorite meals if you choose to cook or you can walk a short distance to some of the best restaurants and shops in Kihei. Wailea is just a five minute drive for shopping and restaurants too.

Located on the 4th floor of the C building in Kihei Akahi, just 100 yards from the soft sands and warm waters of Kamaole Beach II, where you can relax on the beach, snorkel, boogie board or body surf. The wonderful tropical breeze naturally cools the condo when the windows are open. And it's not near the elevator so you'll enjoy a quiet restful sleep.

The unit has beach towels, mats, umbrella, chairs and cooler for your use. If you enjoy walking, a path along the beach connects to the Wailea resort area. There is an activity desk at the complex to help you schedule activities such as luau's, Molokini trips, etc. Since I live close-by, I have a guest book with some of my favorite Maui activities and restaurants, snorkeling spots, and beaches too.

The Kihei Akahi tennis court opens at 7:00am so you can get in that early morning game. Golf is available at one of 6 world class courses within 5-10 minutes drive.

I pride myself in maintaining the condo with very high standards with regard to aesthetic appeal and cleanliness. There is no smoking within the condo or on the lanai. No pets are allowed.

Fantastic Condo

This is a true gem in Kihei! The condo offered great views of both the gardens and the ocean. I really appreciated all of the available amenities, such as two pools and bbq areas, and the in-condo washer and dryer. The building is situated so that the tradewinds blow through, keeping the condo nice and cool. The Hawaiian decorations throughout the condo were tasteful and made it feel extra comfortable. I also really appreciated the Tommy Bahama chairs and water equipment available. I look forward to my return visit to this excellent condo very soon.

Great location, clean condo for good price

I was looking for a place that was in South Kihei near the beach that was clean and a good price since I pretty much just wanted to eat dinner and sleep there. This condo definitely delivered that and Berney was very helpful with check in and a late check out.

Anniversary trip

The condo was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and met our needs. The balcony was our go to in the evening. You could see the stars and listen to the ocean as you relaxed. I highly recommend this condo, it was also walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. If we are in the area again I wouldn't hesitate staying here.

Great location! Snorkeling right across the street! Sea turtles!

Nice, clean, everything we needed for the beach. Got to snorkel, and hang out with 2 sea turtles at the beach right across the street! Restaurants and stores within walking distance. Beautiful grounds, older building with louver windows. Nicely remodeled with ac unit in livingroom. It was really hot while we were there, so we moved the bed into the front room to be near the ac, closed the bedroom door, and then we couldn't hear the rooster crowing out back. It was a nice, safe, comfortable place to stay. Got good sleep so we could go have fun! We were there for a week. Check out the Kihei Caffe for breakfast!

Great one bedroom condo at Kihei Akahi

We had a wonderful stay at this great little condo in Kihei. We had a view of the ocean from our balcony. The location could not have been better. Our host Berney is the best!

Short of Expectations

Pros: across from beach, good pre stay communication with host. There was a view of the sunset. Cons: place smaller than pictures (especially living room)showed. The mirror in picture makes it look bigger. The key code was old and difficult to use. It took us half an hour to secure the key when we left. The host was not there for checkout issues. The place was funkier than we thought. The patio is very small and best for one person to look at the view of ocean. In a busy part of Kihei. The bed was soft after 2 nights. The air flow was less than optimal as the living room and window wind did not directly get to bedroom. The host requested that we not use the AC, in the "Guidebook" which seemed odd with the airflow issues.

Wonderful and relaxing

The condo is conveniently located within walking distance to the beach, many restaurants and shopping. The unit itself was clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. From the lanai you have a nice view of the ocean and is great for morning breakfast and coffee and listening to all the birds. I highly recommend this location for your stay at Kihei Maui.

The VRBO condo was perfect for my 5-0 celebration. Whales, beach time, sunsets, and shopping, and enjoying all the beauty Maui has to offer. Would love to stay at this condo again! It was perfect, Berney was so attentive and so easy to work with. Mahalo!

The best of the best!

The unit is incredible, with a beautiful view of the water and some incredible sunsets. We stayed nice and cool, the breeze through was so nice we didn't even need the AC! The neighbors are so kind and the property is beautiful. Walking to the beach was a breeze, and the location couldn't be better. Berney is the best host and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a great experience. The kitchen had everything we needed! We are so impressed, and wouldn't hesistate to return. Mahalo for everything, Berney!

Perfect locale

Bernie was a most wonderful host and very responsive. The condo: Very clean and well equipped to have fun on the beach. We have all heard “Location, location, location”… well this is it. You are right in the center of beaches, food and shops all within walking distance. Couldn’t complain about the view from the Lenai either! ***Bernie (host) is the best!***

Wonderful stay in Maui

Beautiful property and great location. View from the Lanai was lovely. Directly across from beaches and snorkeling. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance. All the beach supplies you could want were available. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Only downside for us was no a/c in the bedroom, though most days the breeze thru the unit was sufficient and there was a fan. Bed could use an upgrade. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Aloha, my name is Berney. I moved to Maui in 2007 and retired. Since then I have embraced Hawaiian culture and immersed myself in local activities. I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise and the Kihei Community Association. I am very active with the Kihei Canoe Club as a paddler and active board member. Unlike many Maui Vacation Rental condo owners, I live close by. So I can provide advice on activities, restaurants, etc.

I enjoy sharing the Kihei Akahi condo with others who want to experience Maui's aloha spirit and all it has to offer. There is a reason folks say Maui No Ka Oi (Maui is the best). Come and enjoy sunny skies, cooling trade winds, and warm clear tropical waters. See the fish and plant life that exist nowhere else on earth. Por qué eligió esta propiedad

I purchased this Kihei Akahi condo because it is located at the best beaches in Maui and is just a mile from Wailea. Wailea is the upscale resort in South Maui where there is world class golf and tennis, fine dining, and the Shops at Wailea. But while Wailea is so close, it is also expensive. At Kihei Akahi I found excellent accommodations at a faction of the cost so my guests could spend more time enjoying all that Maui offers. And some of the best restaurants and shopping are within walking distance!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The condo includes beach gear - umbrella, towels, ice chest, boogie boards, snorkel, mask and flippers. And having a washer/dryer in the unit allows you to pack light and possibly forego the luggage fee on your trip.

I enjoy helping guests get the most from their Maui experience. I am happy to give restaurant tips, recommendations on activities, and information on some of the best snorkel spots. As a member of the Kihei Canoe Club, I enjoy inviting guests to join me for a morning paddle in an outrigger canoe.

There are many things to do on Maui that don't cost much money or are free. I'd be happy to help you learn about them.
