When renting, consider size of house, sleeping arrangements, depth of water, water accessibility from house, swimming conditions and proximity to retail establishments/grocery stores. This home is close to everything yet secluded from city noise. It is just minutes by boat to restaurants and H.S. Marina/launch ramp. Great for swimming and fishing. It is just off the main channel so swimmers aren't swamped with boat waves. It has a large deck that gets sun and shade at the same time. Fire pit, grill. It is very relaxing. It sleeps 8 adults (4BR-3 are king beds) + 2 children (inflatable mattress).

This is a comfortable 2-story house; (built 60 years ago so it has some creaks)

Host was good communicator. WiFi was so-so. Lot of buffering. On a small section of lake. Nice patio. Enjoyed our stay here.

Great week!

Roger was very accommodating to us and even allowed us to use the dock one night early. The location is great. The house is great for the three families that stayed. The deck is relaxing when it isn’t so hot outside. Theres also plenty of extra things like baggies and such in the kitchen which is nice. My 11 year old said if we ever come again, we should stay here:)

Great summer family vacation

The lakehouse is exactly as described. It is in a great location on the lake. There was plenty of space for our family and lots of fun activities - fishing off the dock, swimming, darts, and a nice sized slip for our ski boat. Overall, it was a great trip!

Great view

The home was nicer than the pictures made it look. The front porch is wonderful with a great view. Check in check out and communication with the host was super easy. We had a great Father's Day weekend. We will be back!

Lake Hamilton

This was by far the best rental we have ever had. The place is clean, very well appointed with a marvelous location. The Texas family met up with the Missouri family and all had a great time.

Sister's Weekend

The Beds were very comfortable. Our stay was very fun. The only thing was the Patio door kept blowing open until we figured out how to lock it. The deck was very slippery after the rain. Loved the place but would not recommend to small children due to the steep stairs.

Christmas Get-a-way

This property is absolutely beautiful and perfectly situated on Lake Hamilton. The views of the lake are breath-taking from BOTH platforms. The home was big enough to accommodate my family, mother-n-law, & our pet. We will definitely be rebooking this summer at THIS location. We were within 5 minutes of every major restaurant, grocery store, and other amenities. You will not be disappointed with this property.

Older home trying to compete

The pictures were deceiving online, made rooms look bigger and nicer than what they actually were. Outside was very dirty with cob webs and bugs all over the door and siding, which is the first thing you see when going into the house. The setting was beautiful and beds slept great, showers were amazing but all of the TV 's need to be updated and only had antenna in bedrooms which 2 of the 4 didn't work at all. The deck is rotting and shotty in areas that felt like they could break at any moment. They blamed most of this on "out of season" but they had a week to get out ready for us. I let the owner know when something was wrong each time and hope these things get fixed.. it could be a real nice place!

The back deck is amazing!

This house is great! Everything was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, lots of towels in the bathrooms, and extra sheets/blankets in the closets. The owner was always very quick to respond - in fact, we had a kitchen sink clog the night before Thanksgiving and he had a plumber there at 7:30 the next morning which saved our Thanksgiving lunch! The covered upper deck has a propane fire pit and propane heater along with plenty of seating. We could put the kids to bed in the downstairs bedrooms and all of us sit outside with it drizzling and 40 degrees! We laughed and talked without worrying about waking the kiddos. We learned the first night that even though the heat worked great in the house, the bedrooms got chilly with the doors closed. But there are a couple of electric heaters provided so that solved the problem. I would also recommend using the gas heater that's in the downstairs living area - it made the lower level warm and toasty without suffocating the top floor. This house worked great as the family gathering place!

4-Day Weekend at Lake Hamilton

We were a group of two grandparents, four adult children, and two kids under 3. The space worked well for us - it was nice to have the little ones and their parents on the first level so they had their own space, and the bathtub is on that floor for nighttime baths. We are glad to see the house had baby gates, too. We ate all of our meals at home. Both Kroger and Walmart are within minutes. The kitchen had everything we needed. We especially liked the good knives, the big bowls, and the huge stack of plates. We appreciated the big table with 8 chairs -- it is surprising how hard that is to find in a rental! But it was a great place to eat and to play games. The deck was a very nice gathering place, too, but it was really hot outside. The deck has a nice big sectional and another big table. The best part of course was the lake. It was so very hot and the lake was the place to be. The house is on a part of the lake that must be a no-wake zone because when boats come by, they are going slow. There's not much boat traffic except for neighbors who have boats. We did a lot of swimming and floating and all had a blast in the water! It's the kind of place I could see us coming every summer. Thank you.

World Series

Lots of room and lived the charm of the house and lake. Owner took care of issues as soon as possibly. The only complaint we had was it was not as clean as excepted and lots of spiders.

The Overlook

The overall property was good but when it can to the cleanliness, i was very disappointed. It was a guy there that was suppose to be cleaning but it was sex stains on the top cover and dog hair all over the place down stairs. The walls need a good wipe down as well. I was tired from the drive and should've not had to sweep up hair. I feel that i should be returned a cleaning fee cause it wasn't clean when we arrived.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend on Lake Hamilton. We had all we needed to enjoy the lake eat good food and spend quality time with our family. The house is in a great location close to everything we needed. We loved floating in the lake. We would definitely do it again.

A great trip

We had a wonderful stay and a great getaway weekend with our parents and our kids. We even took our pets. The place was clean and the deck was so relaxing with the fire in the evenings!

Great Location

Great location…Great Lake views. Plenty of parking area for vehicles. Property was roomy and clean. The only thing that we were lacking were dish rags and towels in the kitchen. Needed some way to light the fire pit. No lighter. And the stairs going down to the walkout basement need a light overhead so you can see the steps going down.

This property is in the most convenient place, close to everything, yet secluded from city noise. It takes just minutes to boat to the restaurants on the water. And it is within minutes of Oaklawn Racing & Gaming, Garvan Woodland Gardens, and Bathhouse Row. It is on a large cove of the lake that is a No Wake Zone which makes for great swimming and fishing. It has a large deck that gets shade and sun at the same time. Very relaxing.

The large deck is a real gathering spot and it provides a gorgeous view of Lake Hamilton. It is very close to Hot Springs Marina and Launching Ramp.
