This 3000 square foot home features large windows that offer serene views of the property. One of the original owners was a founding member of the Gainesville Garden Club and handpicked some of the flowers and citrus trees that inhabit the property. The large rooms offer excellent spaces to entertain large groups. There are hardly any steps for this house so those that have difficulty getting around will be at ease.

We loved this house! Alex was very attentive and quick to reply.

This is such a beautiful house and it has an amazing view! We really enjoyed our stay in this house. Alex was very attentive and quick to reply to my texts. He even dropped off delicious cookies for us. The kids and I really had a great time! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway.

Beautiful spacious time capsule

Walking into this beautiful property is like stepping back in time to a once prestigious home. It could definitely use some upgrades and basic repairs. There were some minor wall damages and some plumbing issues while we where there. It is not a high end status however, there were lots of supplies for us and a ton of space. I love the history and nostalgia of the light switches and even the little call button that would have been used for the butler back in the day. The gardens are beautiful. Driveway had plenty of space. Manager was easy to deal with but more reserved. I'm used to a more personal experience but we were harrassed either, had our privacy. We would definitely come back to the property in the future while visiting family. My daughter loves plants so the back yard was fun to explore! Thank you for the opportunity to build memories and visit my brother and his family.

Vacation with cockroaches!

Very sad to write this. The house is very old but it's nice and has a lot of potentials but needs more attention and was not cleaned deeply in a long time. Also, there were all kinds of trash under beds, behind furniture, etc. The worst part of it all, big cockroaches crawling around in every room....and new ones kept coming every day and night!!! This is not something you want to deal with during your vacation and you can't do treatment with small children in the house! Sadly, the owner knew about this problem and rented this house as a "vacation home" anyway without making sure the problem is gone!!! They also have some septic problem, one toilet was running, we had to shut off the valve but there was still "smelly water" running on one side of the house constantly for a couple of days until they came to fix it. We have rented many houses, haven't had this problem ever. Very sad and disappointed. The location is wonderful, the house is big, rooms are huge, the windows are WOW, the backyard is large and absolutely stunning...,. but the house needs to be cleaned and updated.

Gainesville Retreat

This house was beautiful and in very peaceful neighborhood with a great location. The backyard is spacious and beautiful as well. Highly recommend this house.

Staying to visit with family that live in Gainesville.

Our friends have a small trailer. He was recently diagnosed with head and throat cancer. I wanted to come visit and be able to cook for him and have a couple family dinners. The house was perfect.

Beautiful quiet neighborhood

We were in Gainesville for a our daughters graduation. We loved this wonderful house. It had a full kitchen and great comfortable beds. We would definitely recommend this property.

Great weekend

We booked this rental for the Garth Brooks concert. It was my wife’s “bucket list” to take all of our kids to see Garth. Although there were a few problems with the previous guests, Alex handled everything with the upmost professionalism. The house filled our needs to a tee, plenty of room for all of us and the grounds are beautiful. They treated us like family. Thank you Alex.

Christmas in Gainesville FL

My family traveled to Gainesville FL to spend the Christmas holidays with relatives. The house we rented was awesome. It accommodated ten family members comfortably. When we arrived, we had issues with the door lock. We contacted Alex Fox and he was there within 5 minutes. He was very kind and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we travel to visit my brother.

Great stay

The house was just as fabulous as the photos and the owner was responsive and very accommodating. Overall wonderful stay. We would definitely recommend this property!
