We enjoyed our 3 night stay a Monday thru Thursday. The lake was very peaceful with minimal boat traffic and the loon's made an appearance everyday which was very beautiful. We kayaked, went swimming, Went shopping at Lakewood. Very relaxing Thanks to our host for sharing there beautiful retreat.

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful lake view. It was clean and well stocked with pretty much everything you need to cook with. Nice deck and fire pit. The water was awesome. We caught a variety of fish and if you want to switch it up there is a sandbar to hang out at and swim. We would definitely recommend!

Great place to Stay

Had a great week at this property. Location on the lake is perfect, access to so many items at the property and Steve communicated with us and responded very quickly. Place had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend this place!

Fun had by all!

Clean, comfortable stay. Fished, went tubing relaxed, played game, had great food, and explored Townsend. Overall great!

The family made memories to keep forever! Swimming, fishing, sandbar, Ice cream shop, Sweet Shop, Coffee Shop, Golfing, beautiful sunsets while enjoying our time on the deck. The home was very accommodating with all the essentials. Perfect vacation!

Weather was great! We spent most the time outside. The host texted to make sure all was good, called to answer a question we had. Place was great and had everything we needed.

Week long stay!!

We had a wonderful stay!! It was clean and quiet with a beautiful view! We were close to trails for hiking and my parents enjoyed just resting at the house and a few short hikes! Steve was wonderful and responsive!!

Peaceful place to recharge energy

The cabin is cozy and comfortable and has all you need. The neighbors are nice and friendly. But the most important in the area is a nature with a peaceful lake and multiple birds sounds. Great fishing is a plus! Weather is amazing!

Relaxing vacation

Had a very relaxing vacation. Property is exactly as shown. Very clean. Location is within walking distance to several restaurants. Fishing was outstanding. Our family truly enjoyed our time.

Everything you could ever want

Location, views and lodging spot on. House equipped with everything you could possibly want from lake toys to the electric pump for the floats. Very impressive!

Fantastic Lakeside Home

The weather could have cooperated more, but the house was great with games galore when it rained and yard were great when the sun was out. The fire pit was perfect, and the dock worked great for our pontoon boat. The house is clean and roomy, kids loved the bunk room! We look forward to visiting again!

Great experience

Beautiful property. It was wonderful and the kids had a fantastic time on the lake. The “big book of information” was very informative and had all the essential information! Definitely would consider again!

A nice setting and a comfortable stay

We enjoyed a quick winter weekend getaway and this location was great. The cabin was comfortable and is exactly as presented. We found it to be well equipped and settled in quickly. WIFI was good so the teenagers were happy and the lake was perfect for when we wanted to unplug. Ice fishing was easy and it was fun to watch all the snowmobiles zipping by. Also appreciated a nice dog-friendly option.

Family time

It was my husband, daughter, son in law, 2 grandsons and I. The property was nice. Has a big back yard on the water. We rented a pontoon while we were there. Had fun on the Townsend flowage, swimming and fishing. It was a great family vacation.

I’ve paid less for much nicer.

Communication was good, as was the lake and general area. Cottage was more like a trailer, and while clean in most regards, grill, and ledges/areas were dusty and dirty. Home felt far more rustic than the listing suggested. Linens were in poor condition (bath towels, kitchen towels and comforters on beds were not what I’d expect at this price point). Beds were purposely unmade (so I had to make them all) to ‘prove they were clean). Bare minimum was left for toilet paper, garbage bags, (not enough for a 4 night stay).

Amazing weekend

This place was perfect in every way! The house was so clean and well stocked. We were very comfortable and able to cook right there. The backyard is large enough to play games, swim, fish and enjoy the evening with a campfire. We were able to dock our fishing boat right there and the kids enjoyed fishing right off the main dock. We must have caught 50+ fish all weekend! The kayaks were a hige hit! The neighbors were quiet and welcoming. The owners were very organized, provided up with all the info we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Close to stores and resturants. Not far from Lakewood (we love the shops and candystore). We will definently come again! Thankyou for sharing your home!

Vacation

The property was beautiful, and the stay was very enjoyable. We had ages 1-95, and the property worked well for all. The owner is generous with the use of the kayaks and outside activities/games. Both my daughter and son enjoyed taking a sunset Kayak ride, and well as other times. Great Grandma has since told me that she can no longer sleep in her own bed as the Master Bed in the property was so much more comfortable. The land is flat to the lake that worked well for Great Grandma, and she was able to sit by the water and watch the 3-year old catch his first fish. The location is good, with much to do all around. Make sure to tour the Cathedral Pines area, the local wineries, and the Steam Engine out of Laona.

Owner accused us of breaking their countertop

The property was a bit smaller than what was presented in the pictures. The bedspread in the master bedroom smelled like rancid cooking oil. We did enjoy tubing except there were pontoons in the way the whole time that we had to keep paddling away from. Then the real kicker was when the owner contacted us and accused us of breaking a piece out of the countertop and tracking mud through the entire house and stating he was filing a claim with VRBO to have the countertop replaced and the carpet steam cleaned. We are respectful and honest people and would never have left his house in this condition. He should look at his cleaning person if he wants answers as to how this happened. Also accused us of clogging up the vacuum cleaner that we DIDN’T EVEN TOUCH! Thinking he just wanted a new countertop and needed his carpets cleaned (which needed cleaning long before we stayed there) and didn’t want to pay for it. Never had any problems with any of the other VRBO rentals we have used.
