Immaculate Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain Resort Home

This ski and golf resort home is located in a private wooded setting on the 14th hole of the famous Arnold Palmers Legend Golf course. This home provides a retreat for every season. It is located in the resort community of Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain in northern Michigan and just a few miles away from snowmobile trails. The resort offers multiple activities including two fabulous ski areas and four nationally recognized golf courses. There are resort pool areas and private tennis courts. This includes both indoor and outdoor pools(Outdoor pools are seasonal Memorial day to Labor day). All amenities of the resort can be enjoyed by guests which include; pools, hot tubs, tennis, basketball courts, shuffle board, golf, golf range, downhill and cross country skiing, and a PRIVATE BEACH CLUB!
In the winter cross country skiing is right out the door on groomed trails on the famous Legend Golf Course. It is absolutely beautiful with the views and wildlife! Down hill skiing and tubing, along with sledding, skating and hiking are only minutes away at one of northern Michigan's best ski areas Schuss Mountain/Shanty Creek!
During the winter months an AWD vehicle is RECOMMENDED for the steep driveway.
In the spring, summer, and fall it is a golfers dream with five nationally recognized golf courses within the resort and many more a few miles away.
The house has access to a private beach club with every lake activity that you can imagine. The beach club is minutes away. It has a club house with grills, lounge chairs, volleyball, shuffle board, basketball, tennis, sandy beach with floating rafts, and so much more.
Our home is nicely equipped with every amenity that you could want. It has four large bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two living rooms, ping pong, large screen TV with Direct TV and Wi-FI. It is located on two, private, wooded acres on the 14th hole of the Legend Golf Course. It is a tranquil retreat with fabulous views from every window.
The house is located in the Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain Resort in Bellaire Michigan. Bellaire is directly between Traverse City and Charlevoix. It is close to Lake Michigan, Torch Lake, the chain of Lakes, and of course Turtle Creek Casino.
Must be over 25 to rent the house. There is a Ring Doorbell located on the front door of the home.

New Years Winter Vacation

Great property, well suited for larger families. We were there primarily to ski and it's a great location but there's plenty of other things to do at Schuss / Shanty. Host is great, good communication, checked in . with us to see if we needed anything. House is clean and well stocked, as advertised!

Peaceful Retreat

Our family had a great week at this secluded home. It was clean and well-maintained. The owner was easy to work with and made a point of ensuring that we enjoyed our stay. Having four bedrooms and three baths provided plenty of room for our group.

The D's vacation reunion

Five siblings and two spouses spent the week in Bellaire at thís amazing cottage. This reunion has been happening for decades. This cottage could not have been any better equipped. Matt is so easy to work with.

Perfect Northern Michigan Vacation House

This was our favorite family vacation of all time. The house was the perfect size for our family, and was as advertised. Matt was in constant contact ahead of check-in to make sure we were good with directions & instructions. He followed up several times on check-in day to ensure we were able to gain access to the house and that everything was up to expectation. The house was very clean and well kept. The house is on the Shanty Creek resort, with access to several nearby golf courses, a beach club, pool, and local shopping. It is the PERFECT location for anyone looking to visit Northern Michigan (LP). Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island are both within an hour and a half - making for great day trips. The kids also really enjoyed using the ping-pong table every night. Matt also checked in during the week to see how things were going, as well as to help us through the check-out process. Matt is an awesome host, and we will definitely be looking to stay here again on our visit next summer! Thanks Matt!!

Great Location !!

This house is beautiful, secluded, and well maintained. It is clean and located close to stores, little town area of bellair which includes coffee shops, restaurants, grocery etc . The set up is perfect if you are traveling with another couple / kids, since the downstairs is private and separate from the upstairs so it kind of felt like a little apartment without a kitchen downstairs. Since this house is located in a heavily wooded area i will say there were quite a few little bugs on walls and in bedrooms in the downstairs area, but we kind of expected that if we seen them, we just got rid of them, that did not ruin anything about the house. We would rent this place again. The house had toilet paper, towels, kitchen has everything you need with pots, pans, even an air fryer! We really enjoyed our stay and the fact it was so close to Torch Lake was awesome !!!

Great place to spend quality family time

We used the well-stocked kitchen to make many meals for our family of 6, played many card games on the beautiful dining table, watched the snow fall daily, and enjoyed movies in the comfy living room. The owner was delightful and responsive.

4th of July week 2023

We did it all. Enjoyed a lovely home with plenty of room for the 9 of us. 5 adults and 4 teens. Spent time at the beach, kayaking and swimming, pontoon ride, Bear dunes for picnic and chilly swim, fireworks from local beach, bonfire and s’mores, hiking, puzzles and games, ping pong in basement. Did some shopping Great week.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great time at the rental! The cabin / house is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was very beautiful, surrounded by the woods. About a 10 minute drive to the yellow chairlift. We would definitely stay here again.

perfect spot for golfing

we stayed here to ski and tube in the winter which was just a short drive. they warned about the steep driveway and that you needed a 4x4 vehicle. Listen to that warning. No worries for us. I would love to come back and stay here for golf! Right on the course.

Loved our stay!

We absolutely loved this property. Upon arrival you could smell that the place was clean and ready. The pictures were accurate and communication with the owner was top notch. I can't think of anything that was missing or that could have been better. We hope to be able to stay at your property again!

Peaceful Stay

We were here for Thanksgiving and enjoyed the peaceful woods and greens. Saw a pileated woodpecker and deer. The layout of the house is better than in the pictures. Definitely lots of cooking tools: blender, toaster oven, nice knives, and adorable vintage dishes! The water is a bit smelly but tastes fine. The other reviews are right; there are plenty of extra sheets. If you have fragrance allergies, though, bring your own (and towels), as the detergent or fabric softener is quite strong. Loved the stay here!
