Enjoy quality time spent with family & friends while staying in this luxurious log home in Cedar River Village, Shanty Creek Resort. This home has all the amenities you're used to and more plus it's nestled on a wood lot on the first hole of the golf course which makes this getaway a golfer's dream!

As you walk in the front door, you will notice the gorgeous view of the tree filled property, but be enveloped in the warmth of the home. The great room with its 2-story stone fireplace is where you can relax & enjoy conversation with others, or watch a movie on the 75" Smart TV. The main level of the home has an exquisite 1st floor Master Bedroom with attached Master Bath that includes a 2-sink vanity, shower, and a whirlpool tub. Both upstairs bedrooms have their own bathroom with tub and shower and the loft offers an added sleeping area.

The spacious kitchen makes fixing a family meal a breeze, and the dining room is perfect for meals, or playing cards or games with friends. The octagon breakfast room provides more seating for meals. The lower level Rec Room has a smart 75" TV and 2 EZ up Queen size inflatable beds. You'll find plenty of board games, puzzles and more here. An additional bathroom with shower serves this area and the three other sleeping areas located on this level.

The outdoors awaits you, so be sure to take time to relax on the wrap-around porch and deck overlooking the golf course, and the waterfall in the backyard. Enjoy the beauty of gorgeous northern Michigan summer days. In winter, the tubing hill is a short walk away, and you can purchase your lift tickets for Schuss Mountain at Cedar River Lodge. The chair lift is just outside the door of the lodge. Definitely a Winter-Summer Wonderland!

Golf Weekend

Excellent option for lodging for an large group. The house, in itself, was incredible, and so was the location, communication with host, etc. Would highly recommend.

This property is amazing for a bigger group. Even if the snow didn't make for the best for skiing we had a lot of fun enjoying the home and each others company.

Magical Weekend

I surprised my partner with an up north weekend with us and 18 of our closest friends. The log home was absolutely stunning and in beautiful condition. The details in this home left us in awe. The host has nearly everything you could ever need up there which was a huge help. We can not wait to get up north again and when we do, we hope to have the opportunity to stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your home with us.

Log Cabin Experience

We found the cabin to be spacious,comfortable with spectacular scenic views. Plenty of all age activities in the surrounding area such as golfing, swimming, dining and just relaxing around a fire.

Best golf trip rental yet

This place far exceeded what we have ever rented for a golf trip! 7th year trip and this was the best place by far. Jeanine was a pleasure to work with and made things feel very personable. Love the seclusion and the room for all 14 of us! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this amazing property :-)

Family Reunion July 16-20, 2023

This Log Cabin style home had a very warm ‘home’ feeling and was very comfortable for all indoor and outdoor. It was very close to grocery stores, and outdoor activities in the area. Very short drives to Petoskey, and surrounding sites. Great location and the home had everything that could have been needed for any occasion.

Fantastic Mega House

We rented this house for a family reunion for 4 separate families. Beautiful house with lots of space. Enough rooms for a bathroom for each family, bedrooms for adults, and common areas in the basement with lots of inflatable beds and options for either kids or adults. Had a great time.

Wonderful weekend

Friends reunion

We loved this house from the minute we saw it. It’s so beautiful (decorated with great style) and spacious (easily accommodated the party of 5 families with kids). Exactly what we needed for a planned reunion of old friends from US and Canada. All bedrooms with private ensuites, well equipped kitchen plus outdoor grill and veranda, big and spacious living room with TV and fireplace. All the amenities we were looking for. I will highly recommend this great house.

Beautiful home in a great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our winter holiday stay in this beautiful home. The pictures do not fully represent the beauty of this home. There was fresh white snow outside, the driveway was cleared and it was nicely decorated for Christmas. The beds and pillows were comfortable. There is plenty of space for a group of 15. We enjoyed walking over to the lodge and using the hot tub and pool each day. Skiing and hiking in the area was also nice. This is a home I would come back to and can highly recommend!

Grand Log Cabin Home in Northern Michigan

This home was just perfect for our family reunion. It is a huge home with plenty of space to for everyone to spread out. The massive back deck that runs the length of the home and looks out on the waterfall and the fairway of Cedar Village GC. Plenty of comfy seating, we gathered on the deck for morning coffee. There is a breakfast nook, a home theater, big kitchen to handle family meals and all the accoutrements one could ever need for cooking, eating and drinking. It is a lovely home, beautifully designed and very well maintained. My family has rented many properties over the year to gather for our reunions. This place roped them all. A grand vacation🌞

Stunning. Super Clean. Attention to Details.

This is a stunning home that will actually add to your vacation experience. The “rules of the house” seem a bit much at first read but once you step inside then you understand why. This is a well cared for home, decorated with love and excellent taste. The owner has included many things that you normally need to bring which again makes it that much easier on arrival. We chose this home for a family vacation with children and grandchildren. Jeanine (owner) had instructions and suggestions ready on the counter. Texted her back and forth the night before our arrival and she was very sweet (with a good sense of humor). From morning coffee on the back porch to backyard bonfires in the evening, it was perfect. Many friends and coworkers were inquiring about the property just from the pictures we posted. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you Jeanine Sincerely, Denise-Savannah,GA

Absolutely Fantastic!!!

This is an awesome place to have a family/friends vacation. It was exceptionally clean and we had no issues at all. Property is exactly what the pictures show - neat and clean and very homely. We also loved the location. There were a lot of extras - kitchen had everything you would ever need. The entertainment stuff - TVs, DVDs, games, board games - everything neat and in working condition. Nice patio with the small stream and fire-pit added to the relaxing time we had. Cabin also provided privacy with the 3 levels and so much room to spread out when needed. 100% we will be going back there within 2 years. We also thought that the location is pretty good for day trips to the surrounding areas. Looking forward to staying there again. Jeannine has been very helpful in all our communications. Right from the beginning. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation and a great experience with the cabin.

Ski retreat

We rented this Luxury Log Home for our research group winter 2013 retreat. True to it's name, the house is a wonderland! It is even more spacious and beautiful “in person” than on the pictures. We had 12 mostly unrelated adults in the group and the house provided plenty of room for everybody, but it felt cozy at the same time. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable. Although the house is very close to Schuss ski area and Tubing Park, it is far enough from the road to provide very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking for our large company., we all enjoyed skiing and tubing. The manager was very nice to work with – we were booking very late, but she worked with us to make sure we get everything taken care of quickly and get access to the house on time. She called to check on us and was extremely responsive to our questions. Thank you for sharing your wonderland with us, it was hard to leave the house! We will be back!

Great home for groups or families

Beautiful house that’s very well setup and laid out. There was nothing we needed that we couldn’t find and our group really enjoyed getting to spend time together in such a beautiful setting.

Torch Lake Getaway

Me and 14 of my closest friends spent the weekend there for a TC/Torch Lake day just to celebrate summer and we ended it with MY ENGAGEMENT party that we didn’t even know about! Matt and I got to celebrate with all our friends at the house and it was absolutely perfect! Maybe the houses first engagement celebration haha!! Stunning property, so very well maintained! Will definitely be returning one day, Jeanine was amazing and so receptive and had great communication throughout

Wonderful house for groups!

We loved the house, it was even better in person and we loved being able to walk to the ski hill and the access to the resort pools. Jeannine was so helpful when we had questions and we would definitely stay again!
