The host is super friendly and the house is amazing. I personally would not stay here without renting a golf cart, it'd be quite a walk to the dock. This island isn't for everyone but for the people who get it, this house is the best way to do LGI

We found paradise!

This was our first stay on Little Gasparilla Island. The Mermaid House was in a perfect location for us (it was steps from the gulf!) The house was clean and had all the amenities needed. We would definitely stay here again!

mermaid house

We had a great time at Mermaid house! Cute & so close to the beach. A few things could be updated: toaster oven, trash compactor, gas grill only lit one area. The biggest worry was water taxi. If you go to LGI, rent your own boat. Water taxi guy is a nightmare

Superb location

Great location right in front of the ocean. Spacious double deck was really nice. Beach is great for shelling if you like that. Water is shallow for quite a ways out. Waves are smaller so not really a boogie boarding spot but fun for just hanging in water.

Wonderful home on the beach in paradise!

This property is amazing. Between the great gulf views, the closeness to the water and the cozy decor of the amazingly decorated home, you couldn't ask for more! It was so easy to contact the property manager! We had another amazing summer family vacation at a great property!! Thanks for the memories!!

GREAT PLACE TO ESCAPE

This is a great house and is well suited for a family. It is nicely furnished and the location on the beach is great since there were not many shells to walk over to get into the water. It is well equipped with everything you need. The patio has plenty of furniture and there are a lot of shaded areas. I highly recommend this house.

Awesome location

This location was perfect for my family of 5. We saw dolphins from deck. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Would stay here again!!

Relaxing

We knew getting to the island was going to be an adventure (2 hour car ride to the airport, 2 hour flight to Punta Gorda, taxi to grocery store and marina, water taxi to the dock). Once we arrive at the dock we took a moonlit walk to find the house. It was an incredible adventure with our daughter (6) and niece (13). The house was comfortable and well stocked. Less furniture in the bedrooms would have allowed room for our suitcases better but that’s our only complaint. The beach was fantastic! We found loads of shells, crabs and other ocean life. Everyone on the beach was friendly and fun to chat with. But the highlight for us were the dogs! Every size, breed and age. They were friendly and our daughter loved meeting and playing with every single one! We spent every night on the deck. We didn’t even turn on the tv and it rained one day. It was one of our top 3 vacations to date!
