Very private location and the camp was stocked well. Located in a cove which was great for swimming. Enjoyed the kayaks and the loons. The stairs would be a challenge if alone and need to do several trips to unload and load. Host was very responsive!

Great property - very peaceful and quiet. Right next to the water. There are a lot of stairs to get from the street down to the house (and steps inside too), fine for us, just be aware. Kayaks were fun. Deck is great for hanging out and viewing the lake.

The views were amazing from every level and the whole scenery was nothing short of spectacular.This camp was not only wonderful for me to rest, study, and soak in the lake and woods, but it also had all the gear for serious kayaking adventures if I wanted to.The stay was deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. Very peaceful too…the kind of peace that lingers long after leaving.I would definitely stay again.Thank you Shawn for providing this amazing lake house.

This is our second time staying at the property and it was just as wonderful as the first. Close to everything you might want to do for hiking and excursions but once you're sitting on the deck at the lake you really feel like you've "gotten away". Appreciate the full kitchen and towels and linens for the house. Hope to be able to return again in the future.

Angelic and private cottage / camp. Great views of the lake. Perfect for my wife and i . Home was clean and close to restaurants/ activities. Abundance of wild life and was a relaxing stay. The only drawback is the home sits at bottom of hill on the lake resulting in a lot of stairs to traverse to get to the home . Otherwise perfect for what were looking for .

Shawn made check in/ check out super easy for us. We appreciated that water and cleaning supplies were provided. It was also lovely to have a window unit in the bedroom and living room. The views are absolutely breath taking sun up to sundown. It was the perfect little get away.

Place could use some TLC but enjoyed the lake a lot. Fishing equipment would have been a nice extra, kayaks, canoe and paddle boards were lots of fun. thank you very much!

Lake side retreat

Such a wonderful location! We were blessed with beautiful weather. We love the access to paddle boards and kayaks! Lots of stairs but made the drinks on the deck with the view of the lake so worth it!

Peaceful getaway

Great spot if you’re looking for some peace and quiet in a remote spot. Lots of time for water activities. House is perfect.

We had a nice stay overall, but our experience differed somewhat from the very positive reviewsPros: The location is fantastic, offering a peaceful lakeside setting. We appreciated the canoe, updated fire pit, reliable Wi-Fi, streaming services, and well-stocked kitchen. The AC units were a huge plus during hot weather and helped keep bugs outside by allowing us to keep the windows closedCons: Cleanliness was inconsistent. We found dozens of spiders and webs throughout the cottage on arrival, along with handprints on kitchen cabinets. The host apologized and noted issues with the cleaning serviceThe deck and dock wood are dry and splintering, several dock boards flex noticeably. The swim ladder was pulling away from the dock, which I reported to the host. The cushions shown in the listing photos were not present; the ones there were tan, heavily weathered and dirty. Several deck cables were also sagging or detachedTake note, there are 74 steps from the parking area to the lower deck, making trips up and down quite a workout. They are no joke.Some improvements have been made, but the property still needs maintenance and TLC. There are also miscellaneous items around the property that make it feel somewhat clutteredShawn was responsive, answered questions promptly, and receptive to feedback. Bottom line: location is exceptional, but the cottage would benefit from more consistent cleaning and maintenance. With those issues addressed, it could be truly outstanding.

Beautiful lake cabin

This property has everything you need for a great stay on the lake. The views are breathtaking. Although it is a “cabin” it has the feel of a home. There are a lot of stairs but, it is well worth the effort. We had a great time!

Quiet retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and inviting. The steps and canoe gave us a full body workout. We even tackled a crossword puzzle on the only rainy dad we had.

Beauftiful (hurricane) sunsets

The view out over the lake was extremely nice and the hurricane (that past by) only real effect was two very spectacular sunsets!! Must be great during Fall foliage.

Serenity with Gods pallet

Oh so quiet and pretty. Seeing the fall colors and hearing loons in the morning as we sipped our coffee on the deck seeing the calm water with a light fog was so relaxing. Sunsets beautiful and far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough for day trips.

Perfect Spot

Perfect spot for a getaway. Close to grocery store and seafood market. Plenty of room for vehicle and trailer. Private for a lake house. Not for anyone who has trouble with stairs but they were well lit. Would definitely stay again.
