The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Had everything we needed for a wonderful day. The observation deck was fantastic and the telescope was fun to play with. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Beautiful location very easy to get to super fast to get into Big Bend Park. We had a scorpion in the sink the first night we got there that I had to throw out and there was a lot of critters like there are out in the desert. The view of the sky was amazing, but we did have some non-guests visit at 2 AM One of the nights we stayed, which was unsettling with me and my two children in the middle of nowhere. Should have brought a weapon in hindsight. Great stay overall

Winter break family vacation

We had an awesome experience here! The owners were very responsive, great location, and it was such a cozy place for my family and I. Big Bend was beautiful and being so close by really allowed us to maximize our time there! I would HIGHLY recommend staying at the Big Bend Observatory!

Great rustic stay

Great rustic stay! We loved every second of it and can't wait to go back! Responsive hosts helped out, loved the telescope and the views. The bunk beds might be better suited for friends than romantic partners, but other than that, no complaints!

Gorgeous vistas, nicely sited and well-appointed cabin with fantastic sky viewing. Good proximity to Terlingua, Lajitas, Presidio, Big Bend, Mexico and more!

Great cabin for Big Bend

The cabin was just as advertised. Clean and easy to get to. We loved this place. Check in process was easy and the information received beforehand made getting food and to the cabin a breeze. Would definitely recommend and would stay again next trip to Big Bend.

Fabulous Night Sky

A great location to stay while visiting BBNP! This cabin has all the necessities and was a breeze to get to. The observatory was an excellent bonus! We will check this one out again if available when we visit the area again.

Memorable life experience!

The place was beautiful and well equipped. The owners were nice and gave active communication and an easy way to talk to them if needed. Highly recommend staying here and would do it again!

The cabin has two full size bunkbeds and a recliner love seat (2 seats recline). I had some initial issues downloading the software for the telescope but did get it running and got some cool shots of Saturn.

Great experience

Property is convenient to Big Bend and Terilingua. Our family of 4 was cozy and comfortable. Host was helpful, provided all the amenities and communicated well. Clean and well maintained. Beautiful skies at night.
