Beautiful and very clean 2000 vacation home located on the Chain o Lakes in Antrim county between traverse city and Charlevoix in the town of Central Lake . Just minutes away from Bellaire and all it’s shops and restaurants including SHORTS BREWERY. Benway lake is a 130 acre all sports lake with great fishing and ideal for water skiing and wake boarding . You will find that typically there just are not any boats on the lake ! Total of 6 lakes all connect including 11,000 acre Intermediate Lake. This is a year round vacation home that welcomes downhill skiers , (1/2 hour from Schuss and BOYNE Mountain) cross country skiers , hunters , snow mobilers , golfers , fishermen , boaters , mountain bikes /road bikes and people looking for a secluded peaceful getaway in Michigan’s North Western rolling hills. Our 4 person Jacuzzi hot tub is located on the covered back porch and is open all year for guests to enjoy. The cottage has three bedrooms and two full baths. Master bedroom is a loft with cathedral ceiling , two ceiling fans , master bath is equipped with a lovely whirlpool jetted tub. This home features a beautiful stone fire place, full kitchen with dishwasher , laundry room with washer , dryer and laundry tub, cable internet with Wifi. This beautiful vacation home has a 50 foot long dock ,a large deck next to the lake and a wooden pathway through the woods to the lake. 2 Kayaks , 1 canoe, BBQ grill, DVD Blu ray , flat screen . It is close to golf courses , 2 major snow mobile trails, Jordan Valley snow and ski trail and also close to Boyne Mountain and Shanty Creek . Grass river natural area, Charlevoix paved bike path and Glacier Hills hiking trails. This is the place that singers write songs about !

Nice House, Great Location

We had a very nice stay in this clean, cozy house. It is in a great location to go to Charlevoix, East Jordan, many restaurants, ski resorts, wineries, breweries, and the quaint town of Central Lake.

Weekend getaway

Perfect for a 2day stay, I can see wanting to stay longer in the summer when you can use the lake and boats. Jacuzzi felt great with the cold weather.

Winter Weekend Getaway

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend in between Christmas and New Years and it was lovely! The cottage is very close by the Charlevoix and other towns. We had a ton of fun exploring during the day and then coming back in the evenings to relax by the fireplace and in the hot tub.

We will stay again!

The house is clean, well maintained, adorable, and has everything you need for a nice getaway. You can tell the owners take pride in their home. Communication was quick and friendly. Instructions for checking in and opening the house were clear and easy to follow. I can't wait to come back in the summer and use the kayaks and enjoy the lake.

Girls trip

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the amenities of the property! The hot tub was wonderful. The private dock was lovely to have some morning coffee and evening fire. We had enough space for 5 adults to spend time together, and also have some of our own space. The location is central to a lot lovely town, hiking, wineries, and petoskey stone hunting spots :)

Cozy old-school cabin in a great location

We enjoyed our stay in the "up-north" cabin. It's in a great spot to access Bellaire, Boyne City, Traverse City, and Suttons Bay (if you're willing to drive!). Highlights: Eric, the host, was very responsive, and the communication was great the whole time. The location on the lake and access to canoe and kayaks is so nice. The hot tub and fire place are great for settling in and getting cozy. And those quilts were so nice! Things to know: It's very rustic inside. The space itself is modestly outfitted, and most of the things in the cabin have not been updated (e.g., the pots, pans, other kitchen items, towels, bedding, etc.), so keep that in mind. We wished things were a bit newer throughout, particularly the towels and cookware. We had a great weekend at the cottage, and I'm sure you will too!

Amazing Getaway!

I had a great stay at Eric's place. The location was wonderful for fall colors and the house was clean. I really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. There is a wonderful seating area at the lake to spend time as well.

Beautiful cottage on the lake

This property is a real gem located away from the city noise and crowds with direct access to the lake and kayaks and a canoe provided by the host. Accommodations were lovely, cozy and cottage-like. The hot tub on the porch was our luxurious refuge after a busy day of exploring Charlevoix and Traverse City. Our host Eric was very responsive and thoughtful. We really enjoyed our time there and we look forward to coming back next year.

Beautiful

It was a very beautiful setting. The neighbors had a loud party the second night but otherwise it was very nice and quiet. The lake was gorgeous and taking the canoe out was a lot of fun.

Nice Lakehouse

Cute little cottage on the lake. Everything you need, firewood, kayaks, the works. Furniture is very comfortable. Very cozy upstairs. Main gripe is that we were unaware the kayaks were unusable, but will be in the summer months. Overall though, great stay and would happily return.

Nice Place.. But don’t stay if have a wasp allergy

Nice place and nice powerful hot tub. Had no trouble holding temp in 30 degree weather. Convenient to Shanty creek and cross country trails. The only issue is the wasps. There were a few dead ones on floor when we arrived. Once we turned up heat a couple live ones emerged. They continued to do so over next couple days and were falling from ceiling of loft (as they did not have much energy). Owner says he didn’t know about wasps in the winter and is having an exterminator come out. But they do at least know that they are around and they mention that they treat for them in house instructions. Also the light on porch is filled with dead ones. If you are allergic I wouldn’t chance it. I would have given a higher rating if the owner had voluntarily offered something close to a free night. They did give me $50 off but only after I asked. Seems a little cheap if you ask me.

Cute and cozy

My boyfriend and I stayed here 2 years ago and had the best weekend. The place is clean, cozy, beautiful view, and the hot tub tops it off! We imagined bringing our family back here and that’s just what we did last weekend. It was perfect and the kids loved it. We will definitely be coming back for years to come as long as it’s available!

Wonderful winter getaway

The Cottage was cute, clean, and cozy. The hot tub was heavenly. Centrally located to Boyne, Traverse City, Charlevoix, and Petosky. Perfect for a cozy winter weekend.

weekend retreat

had a great time, viewed fall colors and a crisp canoe around the lake. relaxed in the morning and evenings in the hot tub. quiant little cottage with everything you would need, even some spices and clear wrap. loved the personal touches of family photos. wish we had more time and went fishing.

Very nice!

The dock worked out great for my boat. Beatiful setting. Vert quiet and relaxing. The upstairs bed could be updated, not very comfortable but all around house was great. Would stay again.

Great getaway cottage!

The property seemed to be well maintained, the check in and check out process was easy and all communication was positive. We had a very relaxing time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Definitely thinking about going back!
