We traveled to Aiken to help our son and his spouse who were expecting any day. Stayed first two nights in Aiken hotel which allowed pets, but found it not worth near the price paid. Booked 145 through VRBO our 2nd night, as we had had enough of hotel life. We messaged the host requesting that 2 grandchildren be allowed to stay a couple of nights while their parents went to hospital. Not only did the hosts, Debbie and Harry, allow the request, they moved us to a bigger cottage. The cottage was immaculately clean and accommodating. Strong WiFi, quiet and efficient central air system, plentiful plush white towels, functional big screen tv with plenty of channels, hard floors with rugs where needed, bathtub and shower combo, plentiful water pressure and hot water, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, cold full size refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, microwave and full size stove and oven, newer model full size washer and dryer, laundry soap and dryer sheets (we brought way too many clothes), very comfortable and inviting king size bed with clean white sheets, ample front door parking and nestled in a multiple acre peaceful, quiet country setting. We were indeed blessed to find such accommodations.

Lovely, well appointed cottage in a park-like setting. The cottage was roomy and spotless, our host was very friendly and responsive. Terrific place to stay just minutes from downtown Aiken and the equestrian showgrounds. Fantastic!

Temporary Home

My husband and I stayed here for 2 months while relocating to Aiken. It was just what we needed. The hosts were friendly and responded quickly when there was an issue. They provided local information that eased our transition to the area. I would recommend this rental to anyone needing a temporary home.

Still a great place to stay

This is my second visit. I have now stayed in 2 different "flats". Each is lovely. I used the major appliances this time plus the heater and they work fine. So, see you again in a few months! Jocy

Clean and convenient

This house was just lovely. The location was perfect, less than 4 miles from downtown and activities. The house was clean and quiet, the bed was really comfortable. There was parking for two vehicles. There was sunshine throughout the house. The furniture was great, comfortable and clean. There was a big TV (2!) and a full kitchen. The owner thought of everything, from scentless laundry detergent to many extra towels, to paper plates (along with regular) She wrote a lovely welcome letter with some ideas for things to do. The Aiken farmer’s market was a gem and Hopeland Gardens were serene and beautiful. The owners were on site but not in my business. They were friendly and helpful. I would 100% return to this exact place
