A Piece of Paradise in the Heart of Playa Guiones

This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is your perfect jungle/beach getaway. Located just steps from the beach and all the happening North End has to offer, its in the most ideal location nestled on a small quaint street. See the monkeys in the trees and go to sleep to the sounds of the jungle. 3-10 min walk to the beach, restaurants, bars, mini market, skate park, surfboard rentals & tour companies, etc. No transport needed, so it’s up to you if you'd like some wheels (ATV, car, bike) for your stay.
This house has all the details~beautiful newly built saltwater pool & deck, outdoor shower, surfboard locker, stocked kitchen, BBQ area, smart TV, hot water, cold AC, excellent high speed WiFi + Starlink, and is a functional space perfect for up to 4 people. It has a great porch for dining outside, and the kitchen is a chefs dream.

Playa Guiones is a laid back beach town with a friendly crowd of ppl. Because of its popularity it’s now expanding at a high rate & therefore construction is happening in the area from time to time. We are happy to let you know while booking if there is any nearby construction, just ask!
There are occasional iguanas on the roof, ants, and other bugs. We eco fumigate from time to time when necessary but don’t believe in disrupting the jungle ecosystem if possible. It’s part of life here and the adventure of being in Costa Rica.

The house is very tastefully designed, had everything we needed and we couldn’t get enough of that pool! It was very conveniently located, short walk to the beach, restaurants, small markets, etc. Host was also very easy to reach and super helpful!

Amazing house for four people. Perfect location. We rolled out of bed and walked a few blocks to breakfast and then to Juan Surfo’s in the heart of Guiones. This house is a total game changer. Beautiful house, wonderful hosts.

10/10 spot! Well appointed home with nice design, well stocked kitchen, strong AC, comfortable beds, beautiful patio with plunge pool and some shade for the hot afternoons. Location is on a very safe, quiet street but still close to the action - restaurants, shopping, yoga, beach, trails. We were without a car or even motorbike all week and it was no problem. Easy to get a tuk tuk in town or call one to our house if needed. Host was super communicative during our stay. Would absolutely stay here again!

We loved staying in this sweet house! Location was great for us, walkable to town (along a dirt road) and the beach (a little further, but not difficult) with easy parking for our rental car. House was beautifully designed/decorated and the layout was perfect for us traveling with two teenagers, they shared the upstairs loft bedroom. Air-conditioning worked great and we were very comfortable. The pool area was brand new, and it was so nice to be able to relax outside and cool off. Definitely hope to come back to Nosara, and would definitely stay at Casa Pisces again!

Perfect location, adorable house

Stayed for a week in this lovely house with my husband and teen son. The location is super convenient for all activities. The decor is very tasteful, kitchen has everything you need for making a few simple meals. Bedrooms are comfortable and the property is well kept. Having a house cleaning part way through our stay was an extra bonus! Check-in/check-out was super easy! Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely winter getaway

Took our niece & hers and to Nosara this trip. It was a repeat visit for our niece (brought her here when she was younger to surf) & first time visit for her husband. He said he liked Nosara better than Hawaii & he lived in Oahu for 20 years recently. Loved the neighborhood:)

Wonderful Nosara Vacation

Enjoyed our stay in Nosara. The house is within walking distance of multiple restaurants, beaches, and shops. It has a great layout for a family of four. The only downside was the noisy construction right across the street. However, we would definitely return to stay at the same house again.

Playa Guillones getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at Sarah and Tommy's house. It was comfortable and has everything you need. Walking and biking into town was easy and convenient. On the downside, there is a large construction project directly across the street from the house that created a lot of dust and noise but we got used to it after awhile.

January surf stay in home away from home

Our family of 4 (including our 2 college kids) feel so lucky to have found this home. It’s peaceful, so close to downtown, super clean, and beautifully decorated. Showers are strong, kitchen well stocked, there were extra towels, and a great ice maker in the fridge. We rented a golf cart to be able to explore south guiones, playa pelada, and get to activities like Miss Sky zip lining and riding horses. But there are many places to eat within walking distance as well. Our favorites were La Brasa, Burrito Amor, Rolling Waves, Rosis Soda Tico, Luv Burger, Destiny, and Sunrise Coffee in Playa Pelada. My husband and son rented boards from Guilded Iguana Surf Club (nice boards and service but expensive) and Juanos Surf (much cheaper but boards a little more used). Sarah was very respondive

Fabulous Week in Guiones!

Property was perfect for a family of 4. Wife and I stayed downstairs and our kids up in the loft with 2 beds (16 and 19). Picked up supplies in Nicoya on the way in and made use of the kitchen and large fridge. We walked to a restaurant every night. And, we surfed every day but one and walked to the beach every day. Great location. It was nice to be just a little back from the main streets when we wanted down time. And, a family of Howler monkeys visited the trees around the house for a couple days. So cool! The owner Sarah was amazing to work with. Super easy check-in and check-out. We actually had to cancel last minute the prior yr due to family tragedy and she was very understanding and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property if you are planning to stay in Guiones.

Lovely Vacation Home for a Family of 4

This home was perfect for a family of 4. It’s spacious, has beautiful finishes (hardware, beautiful wood stairs, countertops, lighting and tiles), and is very conveniently located to everything. It was fun looking out the windows and seeing huge iguanas stroll by. The a/c units in both bedrooms worked great and the kitchen was well stocked. Pros: - Beautiful inside and outside - Location easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops - Super responsive hostess - Laundry room Cons: - Can’t flush toilet paper! We were instructed to not flush anything down the toilet (including tp) due to a ‘fragile’ septic system. We followed the rules because we certainly didn’t want the septic to break but it was weird. You had to throw tp away in a lidded trash can. No outside trashcan to empty trash daily and housekeeping only emptied it 1/week. - Sporadic Water Shut-Offs - We were told it would shut off from 8pm-8am. However, the water cutoff times were quite sporadic. Sometimes it’d shut off at 7pm, sometimes 10pm. Sometimes it stayed on all night and shut off at 7am! It was kind of hard to plan around & a little stressful, but we tried to keep a 5 gal jug filled with water to rinse feet, flush toilets, etc - Construction directly across the street - A little noisy but not a big deal especially with the AC & sound machines running. Mainly just kicks up extra dust/dirt. Overall, we really liked the house & would recommend it to others w/ a heads up on the things noted above.

Excellent location!

Clean, beautiful home. For a family with teens this was an ideal location as the beach and restaurants were all walking distance. It was just outside the busy town so also quiet.

March in Nosara

Communication with Sarah was excellent, before and during our stay. The house is well located, outside the hustle but within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The kitchen is well supplied. WI-FI was dependable. Parking for two cars. Beds are comfortable. AC kept up with the heat. Mid-week housekeeping was a plus. This was great for a couple or a small family.

A great and memorable stay!

We loved renting this adorable house. It was a great location and had well stocked kitchen - we loved that we could walk everywhere - to beach everyday and eating in nearby restaurants.

Cute house in a great location.

We loved staying in Casa Pisces. Everything was clean, new, well decorated. It is in a prime location of North Guiones, walking distance to beach and great restaurants. The house had everything we needed for our weeks stay.

We loved our stay at this house. It is in a quiet spot yet so close to everything. Easy walking distance to the beach and the restaurants and shops. Super cute and private little home. Sarah was super helpful and responsive when we had questions.

Guiones goodness

Our family spent a fantastic week at Sarah’s lovely home. She is very responsive and easy to work with. The house is just as pictured, very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked! Beds are comfortable; house is clean and attractive. The location is great, maybe 4 minute walk to the busy strip; and roughly 10 minutes to the beach. You are close to a main artery so some traffic noise. We loved relaxing on the patio, rain or shine. Bathrooms are clean and nice. Our boys enjoyed the upstairs room. Fans in every space which is awesome. Would happily return!

Amazing stay. Felt like home!

Sarah was an amazing host and her home was just as pictured. We worked the whole time while away and this was a perfect setup for work and life all under one roof. We felt at home and are already planning a trip back to this oasis. Couldn’t recommend this home enough. Thanks Sarah!

Casa Pisces was a labor of love, finished in February 2018. After living several years in Costa Rica I designed this house with nature, simplicity, security, and creature comforts in mind. It is a functional small space (just under 1,200 square feet) with a ton of character. Recently we expanded the deck and added a saltwater pool for guests to enjoy as a reprieve from the heat.
