Sits on a gently sloping lakefront lot with large dock and steps into the water.

Sleeps 12 comfortably (plus 3 single futons, a spare twin, and a pack 'n play)

Great for group

Second time staying here, last year we definitely used it more to its fullest. Sandly only limited time this year. Great set up for large group with plenty of sleep capacity. Dock is great, kids enjoy jumping off the upper. Beautiful view. Last year groups went kayaking and enjoyed the fire pit.

Family weekend

We had a great stay this weekend! The host was more than accommodating with our questions leading up to the stay and during our time at the house. We had fabulous weather and enjoyed the lake so much! It was fantastic being able to have a boat delivered, and there was a nice park down the road where we could put our jet ski in the water. The kids loved jumping off the dock! We hope to be back next summer!

Great Stay at the Lake!

We had a great long family weekend at the lake. The house was perfect with lots of seating area for adults and kids. The kayaks were all kinds of fun and sitting on the decks just watching the boats go by was so relaxing. Owners were very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic Graduation Weekend

House was great and such a beautiful view. Wish the weather would have cooperated so we could have used the firepit and outdoor amenities.

We had a great time celebrating my niece receiving her doctorate from VT. Great accommodations and loved the views of the lake. We had no issues during our stay. Would stay again!

Family time at the lake

Beautiful home and location on the lake. House is much more spacious than it seems in the pics! We had a very comfortable stay with five adults and five older teens. Lots of areas for everyone to relax together.

Perfect Setting

We needed a home to accommodate our family during our stay for a VT graduation weekend. The open layout and well appointed space served us perfectly for a very memorable yet relaxing weekend. The kitchen was well equipped and the second, smaller fridge offered the additional space we needed for canned beverages. We cooked, played games, walked to the park, and enjoyed the sunsets from the back deck. We only wished we could have taken advantage of the lake this trip. A summer trip is a must! Nothing negative to say about the experience, all was as described. The beautiful drive to the house was by narrow and windy roads. The owners were highly responsive and accommodating. Five star rating for sure! Thank you for sharing this beautiful property!

Great waterfront house. Great hosts.

We loved our stay. 4 families, 3 nights. The house was clean and freshly remodeled it appeared. The dock, and ability to jump off the top, was a highlight of the outdoor experience, with the fire pit a close second. Kayaks were great too. If you have 4 couples like we did, be aware one room has no door... It's in more of a hallway space. It was a bit of a bummer for one couple, but would have been great for kids. And the master bedroom is SO nice, everyone will want that room. Be prepared for little to no wifi or marginal cell signal. We got a Roku device to stream well enough to watch the Virginia Tech game. It was low quality resolution, but it didn't matter. We lost. ;o( Thumbs up to this house and the hosts!

Great view of Godbey Cliffs

Exceeded expectations. Very spacious master. Great set up for children - especially with 2 sets of bunk beds downstairs. Nice fire pit overlooking the lake and Godbey Cliffs.

Great getaway

We all thoroughly enjoyed the house. The four days flew by as we got a lot of time swimming off the dock and enjoying the patio. We did get one night where the skies cleared and were able to get a fire going. We rented plenty of water craft to enjoy cruising around the lake in our pontoon boat and canoeing and paddle boarding over to the cliffs and around the nearby coves for fishing. Even though it rained for a bit we enjoyed all the amenities of the house. The only complaint we have is that we now have a four year old that is obsessed with water, particularly water where you can jump off a dock. Thanks again for the hospitality and if we’re ever down in that neck of the woods again we will be bothering you to stay for another trip.

Beautiful weekend on Claytor Lake

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect weekend ! The weather was absolutely perfect- 70’s during the day and 50’s at night. We were able to enjoy the fire pit by the lake. Our grown children and families really loved the double decker dock. We were able to do some fishing off the dock and took our pontoon boat out each day. As well as our jet boat. Everyone, including the dogs, had a great time! The house is very nice with a spacious kitchen/ living area, a large deck facing the lake, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The view is incredible from this property! We loved it here and would most definitely stay again in the future. Ann and John Williams

Perfect Venue for VT Graduation

My family and I spent four nights here as we celebrated our son's graduation and naval commissioning from Virginia Tech. Travel to and from campus was under 45 minutes and the ability to relax in the home and on the lake was amazing. Great memories and a perfect long weekend. Many thanks to Sherry for assuring me that all will be good at her home. Fantastic time for everyone.
