Private, spacious log home on 5 acres of Claytor Lake waterfront. Off I81, only 35 min from Blacksburg and VT. Large floor plan with two dining areas and lots of room to relax and entertain, both inside and out. Private NEW dock with kayaks and room for yard games. BBQ and enjoy the quiet by the fire pit or look for resident bald eagles and otters. The warmth of the wood and quiet surrounding will make you sleep soundly. Please note the water is shallow around the dock and great for kids and pets. Large gatherings are not permitted, maximum occupancy is 10 and booking guest must be main contact on site.

Our family truly had a wonderful experience at your home over our long weekend! The weather was fantastic, and the fishing and kayaking were perfection! We enjoyed visiting Virginia Tech for our college tour, and then on Saturday going to a game that they won! We hope to come back again soon!

Stayed here over a long weekend, great rental. Not too far from VT campus. House description was very accurate, outdoor entertainment space was perfect for corn hole and relaxing. Communications prior to arrival with home owner were excellent, would stay here again.

The house is very nice and comfortable. Lots of amenities and activities to keep everyone busy. Also, plenty of room to just relax. Being pet friendly is an added bonus. Tim was very quick to respond to every message I sent. Beautiful place to stay!

Lovely place to spend a week with family. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay stress free. Spent lots of time on the lake kayaking, swimming and fishing. The grandkids loved all the wildlife. There were deer, geese and numerous water birds in the back yard everyday. We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this one is by far the best. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

This is a lovely home with beautiful views of Claytor Lake. House was clean and well stocked. All amenities advertised were an available. Our out of town guests were especially impressed with Thee Draper Village with its great restaurant and quaint shopping opportunities. One of our guests is a “super” VRBO host, and she was impressed with the condition of the cabin.

Everything you see on the site is accurate. We stayed with our grown kids and their spouses and totally enjoyed the experience. Lots of space to spread out, as well as space for time together. Tim was a great host. River access is great. Deer and geese visit the site in the morning, and deer come back later in the day. Nearby town of Draper has a unique general store and restaurant. Ample grocery shopping in nearby Pulaski. State trail nearby. Just check yourself and your dogs for ticks if you walk it. Bottom line, nice place to make memories and to unwind.

We stayed for a long mother's day weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is lovely, the kitchen is well equipped, the property is private with a huge yard, and the view is spectacular. There were bluebirds and green finches fussing about the whole weekend. The host was communicative and very accommodating. We would definitely return!

Beautiful property in a great location. Loved the privacy and watching the ospreys over the lake, as well as, canoeing and kayaking. Great proximity to Virginia Tech.

Wonderful Getaway for the Family!

The house was a wonderful stay for my daughter's graduation from VT. A beautiful location on the lake, and not too far from Blacksburg. It was clean and very well appointed, and the owners very responsive. Would return!
