Villas Paradise es un negocio familiar ubicado en una zona hermosa, tranquila y única en Arenal. Todas nuestras villas tienen impresionantes vistas del volcán y lago Arenal. Nos situamos solo 8 kilómetros del Parque Nacional, a 100 metros del Lago Arenal y a 25 minutos de la ciudad de La Fortuna. Somos muy accesibles para todo tipo de vehículos. Con más y más viajeros que eligen omitir los complejos llenos de gente, la ciudad de El Castillo, se está convirtiendo en el lugar donde puede encontrar los hoteles más exclusivos y tranquilos de la zona. Nos gusta limitar la propiedad a solo 23 huéspedes para un ambiente más privado y tranquilo. Estamos perfectamente ubicado para aquellos que desean explorar el impresionante área.

Wonderful view and location

Away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna, this place offered a relaxing reprieve. It was on the basic yet comfortable side and the food delicious.

Pure Paradise

We stayed 4 nights at the villas and it was absolutely amazing. The room was clean, the staff was very accommodating and the views was phenomenal. Would for sure stay here again.

Great location

30min outside of La Fortuna. Very nice view and comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing just wish it had been a little closer for all our activities

Great place

The view was amazing and the villa had everything I needed. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the food in the restaurant was great. It is about 30 minutes outside of La Fortuna, which is perfect if you want somewhere a little quieter.

What a perfect place to stay

Great location nearby so many destinations, friendly staff, the food was delicious, and holy hell the views were spectacular. There was nothing more gorgeous than waking up looking over the lake to the sounds of the tropical birds, then walking down to have a delicious meal before starting the day. Truly a hidden gem and im so glad we found it!

Extended family trip

Great place to stay. Views were amazing! Staff were always so helpful. Breakfast was included and great food. We ate dinner there every night we were there and had great food. Water sports the rent very close. Small market was also very close.

Great room with great view

This property was perfect for our one night stay, I would come back and stay longer if I ever get the chance. Amazing view with everything we needed and more. Only complaint was there was no hot water. Included breakfast was a nice bonus!!

Amazing views comfy stay

We loved setting out on the deck. The room had everything we needed and the A/C worked great. Our room wasn’t fancy, but it had everything we needed. The view was worth the price! The staff was very welcoming and accommodating and took excellent care of us, and the breakfast every morning was a plus. We hope to stay again in the future.

All staff members we worked with were amazing! I booked the wrong dates and they were more than accomodating to help us get in a night earlier than booked. We were very appreciative of that. The room however, was not clean. Not clean at all. Hair on the toilet. Coffee all over the counter with a spoon laying out. Bathroom sink hasn't been wiped out since the last guest.

Fantastic location close to everything

We could not have been happier staying here. The view of Arenal if amazing. It is close to everything, yet far enough away to where you feel you are are not in the middle of tourist central. The hosts are gracious. They answered all our questions before we got there and while we were there. Thier restuarant is wonderful, as are many within a few minutes of the location. I would highly recommend. Thank you Fermin and family!

Amazing!

Incredible place and location! Sooo glad we stayed here rather than in LAFortuna!!! The drive to all the places in the area was easy and beautiful! In fact we saw lots of the wildlife on our drives! Staying at this location was very special and the inclusive breakfast was to die for and the view was amazing. We had dinner twice at their restaurant which was great. We spent our mornings with coffee on the balcony watching the clouds lift over the volcano and the hummingbirds play! Can’t say enough about this place! Safe, the kindest employees, views, food!!! Amazing!!

Barks and chirps

The hotel was good. the food was good. the hot tub was not hot! There were lots of dogs that barked during the night. And there was a bug that chirped all night in our room, I had to ware ear plugs to sleep.

Arenal Volcano View

Every time we woke up, we were greeted with the best view of Arenal Volcano and its lake. You could never go wrong with this place. Near La Fortuna and more. There's only 3 cabins so place felt exclusive and private. The room is spacious enough for my family of 4 and restroom is also quite spacious. The 2 queen beds were comfortable. And the free breakfast in their restaurant is very good and again with beautiful view.The host is very responsive and even reminded us about free breakfast.We we're so glad we chose to stay here.

Spectacular views

The views were amazing. There were butterflies and hummingbirds all around our patio every day, and all day long. The place is well manicured, and the room is small but clean. It has all the basic needs included. Fermin and his staff were pleasant and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was fresh and excellent. The place is a bargain at this price with breakfast included. The only problem we had was that there was a power outage the night we arrived, and it was hot and wet, so no A/C, but this was not the fault of the property. My only suggestions would be to have a back up generator for the air conditioning units, and just cover up the drain pipes under the sinks and wiring over the shower head. I would definitely visit again, and suggest it to anyone who doesn’t want to spend huge money at one of the resorts, and has a car.

The stay was exactly what we had hoped for! Quiet, easy, simple and convenient! We hiked the Arenal Trails walked the Mystic Bridges, ate at Fusion Restaurant, which is located right on property and loved every moment! The staff is very welcoming! Don’t rush through the Arenal, stay a few nights. We wanted to go to the Sky adventures but didn’t get signed up in time. My advice is to get signed up for the zip lines asap, pay for the tour guide through the mystic bridges and bring wear waterproof shoes. Pay for the guide!!! We saw things we would have NEVER found alone, an owl, snakes, a sloth sleeping, birds galore and heard howler monkeys. Lots of rain so take your poncho it was actual part of the magic for us to walk in the rain. I went between 3-4 rating bc there are ants. IMO it comes with being in the area and it did not bother me to be diligent with food but it may bother some people bc they were kind of everywhere. I stayed over in Potrero and they had ants too just bigger lol.

Stunning views, delicious food, perfect location

I thought there was no way our room would have as good a view as was depicted in the listing but it was honestly even better. Paradise just might be coming home from a long hot day, ordering a beer, and sitting on the private porch just staring at the volcano and the lake. Each of the 3 cabins have the same set up and view so you don’t even have to worry about which one you’re placed in. Not only that but Fermin and his staff went above and beyond at every opportunity, helping with rides, answering questions, and generally being the most gracious hosts we could ask for. The restaurant was delicious and we ended up eating there for all 3 nights of our stay. It was convenient having a small market next door as well. The hotel is located about 30 minutes from La Fortuna and 10 minutes from Sky Adventure. While the distances make this slightly more convenient for those travelers who have rented cars my friend and I were still able to manage quite well without. Ubers are available for the way there, you can have a full and adventurous day on the lake by just walking across the street, and Fermin can help with rides if you ask in advance for going to other locations. There’s also a local bus to La Fortuna that leaves from the market right next door at 6:50am and returns around 5:50pm. They even packed us a delicious boxed breakfast to bring with us on the morning we took advantage of this option. All in all, staying at Villas Paradise was a not to miss experience.

Lovely view!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a lovely time. The staff here is stellar and quite friendly & helpful. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, and you have a volcano view from the beds! I enjoyed my first morning just sitting on the porch, watching the hummingbirds in the flower bushes. It does get hot and muggy, so the A/C was very welcome during the day. A fridge and microwave & coffee maker are furnished. Breakfast is included with the room. We had dinner here the first night and the ceviche was really really tasty, and service excellent. The restaurant is open-air with an amazing view of the volcano and lake. It rained a little bit every day, but mostly in the evening, and the restaurant is set up to be OK in any weather. This restaurant is a bit upscale, but there are several casual eateries and mini-markets along the way. The only negative is the WIFI is a bit spotty in the room, but that meant that part of the time we had to…. Read…. An actual paper book! Oh the pain! But WIFI at the restaurant was strong and we did our heavy duty interweb stuff down there while we had breakfast. There are so many activities close by - butterfly conservatory, zip lining, volcano viewing, hot springs, La Fortuna waterfall, bird watching, exploring, boating, night jungle tour (Mistico Hanging Bridges, fabulous)- I’m glad we had a full 4 nights here. I would come back!

We had a great 1 night stay here. When we arrived, check went smooth and quick, the room was freshly cleaned, and the staff was pleasant. Villa 4 was a great location and easy to get our stuff in and out. The view would have been perfect for Arenal volcano but the weather didn’t cooperate for us. The free breakfast was a small menu but delicious. Thanks for having us!

El Castillo

Although the room was very basic (just three beds and not much else), our experience was good. I thought this location was closer to La Fortuna (it was a 45 min drive) but things worked out well. This town is definitely off the beaten path but had a tremendous view of Arenal (and park of the lake). We had a terrific breakfast with a stunning view of the volcano and the restaurant staff was really great. There isn't much in the town but there is a market, cafes, and numerous natural attractions that are walking distance. This was a 'no frills' positive experience. I would give this lodging my recommendation.

Beautiful view

Small town huge view! We enjoyed the time we spent there, we arrived two days later then expected but we had excellent communication with them and did enjoy the view!

Mi nombre es Fermin soy una persona feliz y agradecido con Dios y la vida, padre y esposo, nacido en la zona Norte de Costa Rica, San Carlos, distrito de Cutris, me mudé a la Fortuna a mis 15 años buscando una mejor oportunidad en la vida, ya hace 34 años y propiamente en El Castillo hace 25 años.
Me encanta El Castillo y toda la zona, espero que te guste tanto como a mí.
Me gusta ayudar a mi comunidad y a mi país, creo fielmente que cada persona suma en esta vida por eso soy muy activo en la comunidad y sus actividades, me gusta jugar futbol, pescar, viajar y conocer nuevos lugares con mi familia.
Quiero que su estancia sea lo más placentera posible.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Nuestro deseo y visión siempre fue emprender, tener un negocio propio ya que tenemos experiencia de más de 30 años en hotelería y gastronomía, nuestro sueño inició al adquirir esta propiedad en el 2014 cuando solo era repastos y no se contaba con caminos accesibles pero siempre pensando que en algún momento iba a ser el lugar más bonito de la zona, iniciamos en el 2019 construyendo las primeras 2 villas, al día de hoy contamos con 6 villas y 4 cuartos para nuestros colaboradores y el restaurante Fusion Arenal Mirador el cual iniciamos la construcción setiembre 2020 en plena pandemia e inaugurado el 26 de marzo del 2021, en nuestro restaurante contamos con una fusión de más de 40 platillos los cuales han sido seleccionados con el tiempo, nuestro restaurante se encuentra al lado de las villas, ahí puedes disfrutar los mejores atardeceres de la zona con vistas panorámicas al lago y Volcán Arenal, ya sea almorzando, cenando o disfrutando un delicioso cóctel o tu bebida favorita. Frente a nuestro proyecto se encuentra Paradero Turístico El Castillo, donde puedes disfrutar un día lleno de actividades acuáticas.
Esperamos que su estancia sea lo más placentera posible.
