Arapaho Cliffs log cabin on Chicago Creek is nestled in a canyon with no other homes in sight yet is just 2.5 miles south of Idaho Springs, Colorado on the scenic byway to Mt. Evans and Wilderness Area. Fish for trout from the private bridge or on the banks with over 1,000' of creek frontage. Arapaho National Forest trails accessible from the back yard. Enjoy sightseeing and fine dining in historic Idaho Springs. Tour a real gold mine. Relax in the famous hot springs resort. Cabin has modern kitchen and baths and tastefully furnished in rustic western style. Quality bedding, kitchen items, etc. 1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 2 double beds and 1 pull-out double couch.

Ready to enjoy your Colorado mountain experience? Make a fire in the wood stove, read a book on the covered porch listening to the creek, or enjoy the deck with family and friends. 45 minutes to downtown Denver. Beat the ski traffic - 7 ski resorts from 30 min to 1 hour away.

Very relaxing! Host very accommodating. Had to do some cleaning. Overall experience was great. Would definitely stay there again if the chance comes up. Loved the sound of the creek!

This was a wonderful cabin to stay at for our family trip! It felt like staying at a home that was really cared for, like staying at a friend's home. The creek was delightful! We wished we could have stayed longer!

We loved our stay. Having the creek, trails and a grassy area to play on property was great for the kids (and adults). We will miss the sights and sounds, but hope to come back soon.

This was a perfect cabin in the mountains. The creek that ran in front of the property was blissful. However, the description says up to 8 people. We originally booked with 4 people then add 2 more for part of our stay. We were added an extra charge for the 2 people for part of their stay. I could see the extra charge if we went over the 8 people, but we didn’t. Other than that the cabin was very cozy and charming.

The cabin was perfect size for our group(5) and could accommodate more. The stream running in-front of the cabin makes lets you know you are in the mountains. The calming cascading water revitalizes your soul!Only a minor issue was the exiting instruction could be more clearly stated.

This property was the best ever. Absolutely everything you could think to need it was there. The wood stove worked fabulously. Hikes available outside the door. Perfect patio on creek. Yes it is right by hwy up to mt Evens but the traffic not at all bothersome. Lovely porch to enjoy the creek when it was raining. Left the cabin only to go to try the Hot Springs but otherwise didn’t want to leave. Thank you Randy for sharing. Wonderful experience for flatlanders from Kansas! Everything and more than we hoped for

Excellent location. Plenty of space for four adults. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans for cooking and baking. The hiking trail out the back was beautiful. Close to good ski options.

The host is very helpful and answered questions promptly. The cabin was amazing. It was very close to town and not too far from Denver but once on the property you would think you were in the country. It is well stocked with all you need. We loved the creek, the sitting areas outside, the family friendly layout inside.Highly recommend!

Great Mountain cabin

We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was clean and well furnished. The location was great. We especially enjoyed the creek than runs directly in front of the cabin.

This cabin exceeded every expectation. The property and cabin are even more beautiful in person than the pictures could ever capture. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and the cabin was thoughtfully stocked with all the extras we needed to feel right at home.The location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Colorado's outdoor adventures, with easy access to rafting, hiking, breweries, and so much more. One of our favorite parts of the stay was relaxing in the beautiful outdoor space beside the creek. We loved watching the vibrant red bumblebees buzzing through the flowers and the numerous hummingbirds that stopped by throughout the day. It was the perfect place to unwind, and falling asleep each night to the peaceful sound of the creek was pure bliss.Idaho Springs is truly a hidden gem. The town has such a chill, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere, and Miner Street is full of charm with its wonderful restaurants, breweries, unique local shops, and music.The hosts were outstanding—friendly, responsive, and excellent communicators from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. 10/10

Nice place!

Cabin was as advertised and in a great location! Enjoyed the creek and were able to hike close by..enjoyed Echo Lake for a hike and spent some time in Black Hawk. Great place and will definitely come back and stay again!

We love the setting of our cabin, nestled in a canyon, with a roaring creek, surrounded by National Forest, and without another home in sight. We also like the convenient location near the lively and vibrant City of Denver, with every available cultural activity and amenity; the quaint and historic town of Idaho Springs; and all the splendid sights and activities in the Rocky Mountains.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The sights and sounds of the creek are truly magical. On a more practical note, the cabin is extremely easy to find and easy to get to anytime of year on paved roads that are snow-plowed regularly. Winter access is about as good as it gets for the mountains in Colorado.
