Welcome to the Pear Tree Cottage! We have some limited summer availability! Check our calendar for details!

Our charming, open-concept vacation home is the perfect choice for business travelers, couples and small families and more. Over 1200 square feet that includes two bedrooms, two baths, we are the perfect size and perfectly equipped for your getaway, retreat, team building or romantic get away, and offer the best alternative to a Hotel/Motel in the area.

We are conveniently located just minutes to Grand Haven and their award winning beaches.

In the home you will find:

• Two super comfortable bedrooms with luxury linens
• A fully stocked kitchen
• Two full bathrooms (one bath off the Master Bedroom)
• Gas fireplace
• Bright, open living room with 50" Smart TV
• Whole-house WiFi
• Screened in front porch
• Super cool loft space for reading or napping!
• Full-sized washer and dryer

Outside the home you will enjoy our multi-level deck complete a gas grill, covered bar area, and dinette table and chairs. The shaded, fenced in back yard is a great place to relax during the day, and at night enjoy cooking smores or conversation around our fire pit.

The home is located in historic Strawberry Pointe area of Spring Lake, Michigan. The area is littered with these small cabins that once served as hunting and fishing vacation homes in the 30 s, 40 s and 50 s. We are walking distance to the Spring Lake public beach, the expansive bike trails of the area and to the Village Baker (a must visit for great baked goods, fantastic brunch and dinners, as well as a great cup of coffee!!)

Its a breeze to get to Grand Haven - only a five minute car ride. We are a 35 minute drive to downtown Grand Rapids and a 15 minute drive to Muskegon and Hoffmaster State Park. The area bike paths are 200 yards away, the Spring Lake beach is 1 block away. We are also a short walk to Spring Lake s Central Park, where you will find an expansive playground as well as tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.

GETTING AROUND:
Its a breeze to get to Grand Haven - only a five minute car ride. We are a 35 minute drive to Downtown Grand Rapids, 15 minute drive to Muskegon.

Excellent stay! Cozy place for 4 people and close to town and the beautiful bike trails for either walking or bike riding, Fun short bike trip all the way to Grand Haven. Highly recommend!

Our family loved staying here! Perfect amount of space for our family of 4 (2 boys 9&12) very clean, great location with walk to spring lake, and short drive to Lake Michigan. Super clean and the beds & pillows were VERY comfortable!!

The only thing that would’ve made it better was an AC unit that got cooler in the living room. It was walking distance to the lake and a public beach, it was a great little spot.

The cottage was adorable! Everything that we needed in the kitchen was available...close to Grand Haven and great places to eat! Would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We went over the Memorial Day weekend, and it rained a lot, but my 2 teenagers still had a good time. In between the rain, they rode the bikes to the beach area and took a walk on a trail. The area had lots of restaurants, which was good.

The place was clean and Frederick was great with getting back with us. A couple of issues. The A/C in living room didn't produce much air and the outside area did not look like the pictures and is in need of some TLC. We didn't use. We had an issue with the ceiling fan the first night in the bedroom, but messaged Frederick if there was a trick to getting it working and he responded back immediately, so the 2nd night we had a cooler bedroom. All in all, it worked for us for the 2 nights we were there.

The location is very noisy with vehicles driving by constantly.The owner drove by to check on me and criticized me for plugging my car in when there was nothing in the contract to say that was not permitted. I plug my car into places where ever I go. It uses normal household electric plug sockets. I was one person, hardly using any energy and kept the house impeccable.

Thank you for your feedback. We now have language in our contract stating that we do not allow using our electricity to repower or recharge electric vehicles. Frankly, I was astonished by the amount of power it consumed. Also, I find this practice to be theft. You would not fill up your car with gas without paying for it. That is a crime. This is no different.

Pear Tree Cottage was w writhing the listing said! exactly as stated. Warm and well appointed, the cottage was the perfect spot for our trip. The instructions for access were easy to follow. We will stay here again!

Amazing place. Great location. So very comfortable for the two of us visiting for 4 days. Underpriced for the quality. I couldn’t have stayed at Holiday Inn for this! And we had two full bedrooms and bathrooms. Fireplace. Even made dinner one night at the house.

Cute and cozy place. Perfect for a quick girls weekend away. Close to so many things. We were also able to go for a walk which was beautiful by the lake. Beds were comfortable. Towels were soft. Had some nice touches like a make up remover cloth. Thank you for a really nice stay.
