Welcome to the Pear Tree Cottage! Booking Fall and Winter with our new lower rates and fees!

Our charming, open-concept vacation home is the perfect choice for business travelers, couples and small families and more. Over 1200 square feet that includes two bedrooms, two baths, we are the perfect size and perfectly equipped for your getaway, retreat, team building or romantic get away, and offer the best alternative to a Hotel/Motel in the area.

We are conveniently located just minutes to Grand Haven and their award winning beaches.

In the home you will find:

• Two super comfortable bedrooms with luxury linens
• A fully stocked kitchen
• Two full bathrooms (one bath off the Master Bedroom)
• Gas fireplace
• Bright, open living room with 50" Smart TV
• Whole-house WiFi
• Screened in front porch
• Super cool loft space for reading or napping!
• Full-sized washer and dryer

Outside the home you will enjoy our multi-level deck complete a gas grill, covered bar area, and dinette table and chairs. The shaded, fenced in back yard is a great place to relax during the day, and at night enjoy cooking smores or conversation around our fire pit.

The home is located in historic Strawberry Pointe area of Spring Lake, Michigan. The area is littered with these small cabins that once served as hunting and fishing vacation homes in the 30 s, 40 s and 50 s. We are walking distance to the Spring Lake public beach, the expansive bike trails of the area and to the Village Baker (a must visit for great baked goods, fantastic brunch and dinners, as well as a great cup of coffee!!)

Its a breeze to get to Grand Haven - only a five minute car ride. We are a 35 minute drive to downtown Grand Rapids and a 15 minute drive to Muskegon and Hoffmaster State Park. The area bike paths are 200 yards away, the Spring Lake beach is 1 block away. We are also a short walk to Spring Lake s Central Park, where you will find an expansive playground as well as tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.

GETTING AROUND:
Its a breeze to get to Grand Haven - only a five minute car ride. We are a 35 minute drive to Downtown Grand Rapids, 15 minute drive to Muskegon.

Birthday -low key

Mother-daughter stay for daughter’s 40th. Lovely lodgings and low-key, mid-week lakeshore winter walks along frozen Lake Michigan. Enjoyed fireplace and cozy surroundings to chill out and catch up. Thank you for the opportunity.

Great Stay

The place was just like the photos and was a close drive into town. My only complaints are that the bed was a bit small for two people and we couldn’t get the bedroom tv to work or the speaker in the living room. Still, overall a great stay!

Cute and cozy, charming cottage!

We had a really wonderful time staying at the cottage near the lake. It’s a beautiful area and the cottage is warm, inviting and charming. The beds were comfortable the kitchen very well equipped, and the fireplace made it cozy and relaxing. Thank you so much for hosting us.!

Kutz Thanksgiving

We had a great stay!! The couch in the basement could be updated black flakes all over our clothes when we sat on it.. mice feces up on the ledge with the microwave, which i understamd it happens.. house was perfect we cooked our thanksgiving dinner and went to our sons house.. we left a day early due to an emergency but we would recomend and come back ourselves!!

Incredible place

This was a great place. Super for two couples or four people. The home is beautiful and there's lots of food and shopping in the area. Plus we also love that it's near Grand Haven and Holland for shopping. we hope to return next year

Weekend getaway

Great Stay!

We had a great time! The place was a perfect size for our family of 4 and very close to Spring Lake and the small beach there. The fire pit in the yard was a wonderful addition. Very cozy and clean, we would definitely stay again!

Adorable cottage

Cottage looks exactly as described. We had a wonderful stay, and our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Location is perfect.

Annual trip to Spring Lake

Just a quick stay of two nights. The first night my two 4-year-old granddaughters stayed with me and we did the beach at Spring Lake (within walking distance) and then the splash pad at Tanglewood Park. That evening we took in the Musical Fountain. Such a fun time! The outdoor seating area was a nice way to do meals and the front porch my favorite place for morning cup of coffee. The second night my husband joined me and we had a wonderful meal at Two Tony’s and then a walk down to the lake to catch a part of the sunset. Very quiet and friendly area. Bike and walking trail close by. Frederick was an excellent host, and the house is so inviting and comfy. Would highly recommend a stay to those visiting the area!

Cozy and Clean Spring Lake Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the Pear Tree Cottage for three nights in August. Communication was thorough via VRBO. Thanks for a pleasant stay. We particularly enjoyed the recommendations on the welcome board and the ability to use the laundry facilities and kitchen.

Cute cottage / Great Location

This is a great little cottage with comfortable beds and a bathroom en suite in one. The 2nd bathroom is directly outside the other bedroom so it was very convenient for my friend and I by giving us the privacy we wanted. When we arrived the iron did not work but Frederick the host had it exchanged out by the time we got back from dinner that evening. Location was perfect and easy to find your way to downtown Grand Haven and the beach. We loved the Village Bakery which is right down the street.

Short vacation

I came with my family to change a scenery and have some fun closer to the lake. Even the house looked larger in the pictures we had enough space for 4 of us. Good location also

Mini Vacation

Quiet residential neighborhood minutes from a Spring Lake beach. A short drive to Grand Haven and Lake Michigan. The house is well equipped and Frederick is very responsive. The screened front porch and outside spaces added to our enjoyment. The large entry porch was ideal for leaving beach toys, wet towels and sandy shoes. I would definitely stay here again.
