Drummond Island Hotel & Vacation Homes - Sunset Den

This classic A-frame beach-side vacation home is located on the west side of Fairbanks Point where the sunsets are unforgettable! This is a nice quiet neighborhood with wooded lots.

The front deck overlooks a huge front lawn and a priceless water view. Enjoy the hot tub on the waterfront deck! The private lot is located on King's Bay and is popular for all water sports and fishing! Four kayaks are included with the home rental. This home also offers a dock that is approximately 30 feet long with 4+ feet of water midway out. Water shoes are recommended for swimming as the shoreline is rocky.

This home has 2 bedrooms and a loft. Bedroom 1 downstairs features a Queen bed; Upstairs bedroom 2 has a Queen bed and sliding glass doors with a balcony and a view of the water; Bedroom 3 is a loft and features 1 Queen bed and a Twin. There is a well-appointed kitchen. This home also offers a Roku Smart TV with local channels, Wi-Fi, DVD, board games and puzzles.

Hosting a large family reunion or gathering? Our Whispering Loon property is located directly across the street and can comfortably sleep 10.

If you are coming to Drummond Island to ride the trails, you will need to trailer to the trailhead from this home. Side x Side’s and ATV’s are NOT permitted on M134/Channel Road.

· If you are making this reservation within 24 hours of arrival please call for check in instructions.
· Check-In after 4 PM. Check-Out by 9 AM. Check in at Drummond Island Hotel & Vacation Homes at
34834 S Townline Road. We will provide you with keys & directions.
· Any fees associated with processing a credit card will NOT be refunded if you cancel your reservation.
· Pets welcome. Pet reservation is required. Please read our Pet Policy. Two Dog max. A $50 per pet fee
will be added by Property Manager.
· All reservations have a 30 Day Cancellation Policy.

Beautiful!

This was such a cute, clean, quiet cabin with a beautiful view! We were able to bring our dog and we all had a wonderful week, I would highly recommend staying here!!

Cozy Place to Unwind

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Den. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day on the trails. We enjoyed just relaxing and watching the waves crash on the beach. There's tons to do in the area and the local folks were very welcoming. We will be back!

Perfect getaway spot, lives up to the hype

This was an amazing experience. The sunset den was easy to find, very clean, and relaxing. We spent the cool nights in the hot tub watching the sky change colors, and kayaked around the peninsula during the day. This was our first trip to Drummond Island and we will not forget it!

Great Vacation

Very nice and clean place. Was able to make ourselves at home. Everything was in good working order. It was nice to have a garage on site where we were able to put things while not in use.

Guys golf and fishing trip

Wow! What a beautiful location. None of us had ever been to Drummond Island so we planned our annual golf trip here. We were not disappointed ! We brought a fishing boat and docked it right outside the back door. Caught tons of perch, had a fish fry. Played golf at the Rock which was awesome as well. What a beautiful island, and surrounding blue water has a lifetime of areas to explore ! The Sunset Den was perfect. Awesome sunsets every night, and all accommodations you would need. We will definitely be back. Thanks so much for a great vacation spot !

Fun on the Island

Island life is a different life and if you haven't been to Drummond Island, I recommend it for a very relaxing get away. The house was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend. Clean with lots of amenities included. The favorite activity was the hot tub followed closely by kayaks. The views are spectacular. The check-in office is a little out of the way upon arrival but it does allow you to see some of the island area though cell service doesn't work away from the house (worked great at the house as well as WIFI) so be prepared. Another review recommended water shoes which we purchased ahead of time and appreciated having. Thank you for our time away!

May 2019 Stay

Nice little rental couple that's good for a couple. The view is beautiful, and the hot tub was really nice, although we had to net out some debris before we initially went in (it was not seem to be cleaned well). The house could've used a little bit better cleaning in general, and some more towels for showering would've been nice, too, compared to the few that were given. The bathroom was very small but the water pressure was good. Also, there was a neighbor right next door which kind of put a crimp on our want for privacy, and limited our use of the outdoor fire pit (there is a rule to not use the fire pit when the neighbor's there due to her house getting smoky from the flames). Overall, a good stay, but there are less expensive rentals out there with similar if not better accommodations.

Highly recommended

We were the first guest of the season to stay at Sunset Den and with new owners who you can tell take pride as new cottage owners. Everything on the inside is brand new from very comfortable mattresses, all the bedding, kitchen appliances to dishes, pans and towels. The bathroom towels are beautiful bright white and plush. The kitchen is stocked with all your needs including several spices, foil, ziploc bags, dish soap etc.. The sunsets were absolutely amazing from the back of the cottage overlooking one of several bays on the island. The property management was super easy to work with in checking in and giving any information about the island of things to do and see. We seen deer every day and a kicked up a woodduck. Unfortunately we didn’t see any bear which are plentiful on the island. Our 5 day stay of course went to fast and looking forward to returning to Drummond Island and will definitely rent the Sunset Den again

Tranquillity = Sunset Den

Sunset Den was what we needed after a year & a half of Covid stress. It was quiet & beautiful. So relaxing and tranquil. We thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks & hot tub. Unfortunately the weather was a bit chilly & windy. We even had to turn on the heat one night. The cabin location is very wooded, keeping the inside cool which I'm sure would be wonderful in the heat of the Summer. The beautiful sunset & stars are amazing from the hot tub and I was able to photograph the night sky & stars from the upstairs balcony. We were amazed by the number of deer on the island. We saw deer everytime we drove on the island. If there is a negative, we would've preferred a gas grill than the charcoal grill but we were still happy with having a Weber at our disposal. The highlight of our vacation was an afternoon sailing on the Schooner Huron Jewel through Drummond Island Tall Ships Company.

Quiet water front property

We got exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, simple cabin with great water front overlook. Convenient to everything it real sea se of privacy for a cabin on a east access road. Hot tub and deck were great. Early morning morning and evenings were peaceful and relaxing.
