Come and enjoy this beautifully updated lake home for the perfect Minnesota vacation. This lake home is perched on the banks of Big Pine Lake, just outside of Garrison, MN. The picturesque property is lined with mature pines and a beautiful lake view. The home provides all the amenities - a spacious open concept layout, air conditioning, large fully stocked kitchen, beautiful stone gas fireplace, main-floor bedrooms, main floor laundry, and a spacious loft.

Outside you’ll find a pristine yard perfect for soaking in the sun, grilling, and s’mores over the campfire. The dock is the perfect spot to start and end your day. Enjoy your morning coffee in peace overlooking the calm water and take a front row seat to the evening sunset. This lake home is perfect for family vacations or adult getaways. Visitors are welcome to bring their own boat, the access is just a ¼ mile from the cabin. 3 kayaks, 1 canoe, several child and adult life jackets, and inflatable tubes are provided.

You’ll feel secluded as the home is located on a limited access road. Although remote, there are many options for entertainment within a short drive being perfectly situated between Garrison and Aitken, and just minutes from Mille Lacs Lake. Big Pine Lake is known for both fishing and recreation. Many visitors enjoy fishing right off the dock. Hiking, bike trails, restaurants, ice cream, state parks, additional fishing options, & shopping are all easily accessible.

Additional amenities - WIFI, smart TV where you may log in to your own streaming subscription, DVDs, games, gas grill, fire pit, limited supply of firewood, patio chairs, picnic table, and all the necessities - bedding, blankets, kitchen supplies, towels, etc.

We loved our stay at Big Pine Lake! The owners were easy to communicate with and graciously answered several questions. The property was perfect for our family summer vacation, complete with laundry facilities, kayaks, a canoe, and every size life jacket imaginable! The lake is gorgeous! We loved how quiet it was day and night. We’d love to come back!

Our family of four had a great time at this house. Clean, secluded, quiet, and well stocked to enjoy the lake. One of the few places we've been to where there were hooks to hang stuff in all the right places. Enjoyed the canoe and kayaks, were very successful fishing off the dock (just add nightcrawlers, they had the rest), and made good use of the living area in the house, plenty of space to stretch out. Comfy beds and copious blankets, we usually bring our own but didn't really need them. Even though it was very hot during our stay we were able to enjoy sitting out on the patio in the mornings and evenings. Fire pit was also a nice touch. Owner communication was excellent; they answered all our questions and were very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing fishing/family vacation!

This is an amazing vacation home located centrally to the area lakes. It is great for a family because the house is spacious and beautiful. The road is quiet and the access to the kayaks was an added bonus for our kids. This is our second visit to the lake house and it is one of our favorites of any home we’ve rented.

Lovely spacious lake home

We had a wonderful stay with our grandkids at this lakefront home. It’s a lovely, roomy space with all the amenities, and with great views of the lake. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, and lounging on the deck.

Northern Getaway

Our family had another great week at the Big Pine Lake Cabin! Everything was perfect once again. We had great weather for fishing, swimming, and sitting around the fire each night. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation that allows us to get away from busy everyday life!

Paddles and Pines

This is a great place. Easy water access. Very quiet. Good view of the lake. Good size lake. The water was very clean, so swimming was possible. Great for kayaking.

Great place. Very thoughtful owner. Had everything we needed for a relaxing week. Took advantage of everything this great Minnesota lake property had to offer. Kayaks, fishing, games, and evening fires. We wanted to rent a pontoon for the day - no problem, there was a place 5 minutes away to do that on the big lake.

Phenomenal Experience

From start to finish, this was an amazing experience!! The owner had great communication before our arrival, and the house and property, far exceeded our expectations!! Beautiful, well kept home, great view, Great Lake, and great fishing!! I would very highly recommend this as a place to stay, and we certainly hope to be back!!

Good experience, really nice home.

This property was extremely clean and as nice as pictures on listing showed. We were pleased with the size and homeowners were pleasant and easy to work with. Kitchen totally provided all items necessary for us to cook anything we wanted to. Best stocked kitchen we have experienced, We would certainly stay here again

Love this place!

We had a great week at this lake home. We cooked many meals there and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The entire place was comfortable and well appointed. The yard was perfect for lawn games , and the quiet lake and road made our stay very peaceful and relaxing. We had an infant with us so having laundry on site was very helpful. Garrison and Aitkin are both close by so we had no problem finding boat rental, bait, groceries, restaurants and a pharmacy. We highly reccommend this rental!

Amazing family fishing getaway!

The online pictures don’t do this home justice. It was a beautiful quiet country road with several nice lake homes. The house itself was perfect for our family of 5. We towed our boat and had plenty of room for parking and a public launch was a minute or two at most away. The lake is beautiful and full of fish and the kayaks were a great treat for the kids. We truly loved our time here and didn’t want it to end!

Beautiful!

Both the home and the views were beautiful. There was nothing you could ask for that wasn't in that home from kitchen appliances & utensils, linens, down to a tool box! I wish my kitchen at home was 1/2 as well stocked as that kitchen. The owners were easily contacted & responded promptly. If you don't stay here, you'll be missing out on a wonderful rental property.

Great Northern MN stay

Our family had a fantastic trip on Big Pine Lake. This was our 2nd time staying at this location and we are considering a 3rd time next year. The house is a perfect set up for our family and honestly this place has it all. The home is stocked with everything you need. Just bring your food to cook and the kitchen is well equipped. Great supply of toiletry items, towels, bedding/blankets. The owners are wonderful and very responsive. Thank you for opening your home to our family.

Amazing cabin!

This is an amazing cabin/house! It was the cleanest rental we've ever had! The decor is so nice and classy! The yard is perfect for playing yard games and hanging out. Nice view of the lake from the house/yard. Short walk down to the lake. We liked the line of trees for privacy on the right side. Loved the kayaks, canoe, floaties and cornhole! All the amenities were great! Dean (the host) was so responsive! We hope to go back sometime! :)

This property is better than advertised. House is super clean and quiet, friendly neighbors.

A few friends and I went up for a fishing trip. The owner was very helpful with letting us know about parking for our trucks and trailers and local fishing. The house was better than expected. The only thing it didn’t have was cable/dish tv which we knew going in and honestly never noticed that we didn’t have it. Gave our group time to talk to each other. I would definitely stay again. Thanks for the great week.

Awesome house and property!

Such a beautiful home - pictures do not do it justice. The owners are very meticulous with their cleaning - everything was in tip top shape. Especially with this Covid virus in the back of our minds, we felt very comfortable. The lake was clean & clear and no end to the loons and the eagles. There were 5 of us gals on a week get away - we enjoy cooking together & there was not one thing lacking in the kitchen. Would highly recommend this property...

Absolutely perfect 10/10

We had such a wonderful time at Dean’s place. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook every night. The beds were super comfortable. I even loved the pillows! We could tell a lot of thoughtfulness and care went into making the space relaxing and comfortable - they truly thought of everything. Our kids had a blast using the water inflatables and loved sleeping in the loft space. Dean was very responsive and helpful whenever we needed something. We would come back in a heart beat! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A Wonderful Place to Visit with Friends or Family

The home itself was impeccable. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. Once we arrived- we didn’t have to leave to pick up items. The kitchen had everything we needed (even an old fashioned egg beater!) Every day we had coffee in some beautiful pottery mugs! Plenty of floats and kayaks for water days and plenty of games for the rainy days. Plenty of towels, cleaning items, First aid kit, and blankets for the sofas! The hosts answered all my questions in a timely manner. We loved this property!

A few days prior to our trip, I received a call from the host who wanted to inform us of a road closure and detour in Garrison which affected the route to the cabin when traveling on highway 169. I was aware of the detour but thought that the host went out of his way to make sure that we were aware of that situation. We found the entire cabin to be very clean with comfortable beds in all bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked which allowed us to cook any meal desired. There was a nice backyard setting that overlooks the lake where or grand children enjoyed several S'mores around the firepit. It was a wonderful setting for the grand kids first fishing trip. They were able to catch sunfish, perch and bass from the dock as well as the boat. We have great memories from this trip.

Beautiful Minnesota lake country home

Charming lake front home. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was. Perfect for family gatherings. Plenty of water toys for use on Big Pine Lake. Kids loved fishing from the dock and kayaking across the lake. The dark night sky was perfect for star gazing. We had a wonderful vacation.

Absolutely Beautiful

This home is clean, nicely decorated and continued to impress us. The kitchen included quality cookware. The bathroom included soft towels. The beds and living room furniture was comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet. We used the kayaks and canoe daily. We fished off the dock and caught bass, perch, sunfish, and crappie. The kids swam in the lake. We traveled with my family of 4 and my father in law. My father in law doesn't get around well but was able to maneuver well with his walker throughout the first floor. The only difficulty was the main floor shower has a high step. Overall amazing experience. The owner is very prompt to answer any questions you may have. Loved it and didn't want to leave.

Super clean and peaceful

This was a great property on a clear, beautiful lake. Check in and out was extremely easy and Dean was really quick to answer any questions. The home was immaculate and the perfect amount of space for our family of 4 plus my elderly Mom. Everyone had just the right amount of privacy and the entertaining area was spacious and really nicely decorated. The kitchen is equipped with literally anything you might need. The lake is super peaceful and the neighborhood very quiet. We would definitely rent this home again. Had an excellent time!
