Whippoorwill Cabin - Charming Cabin in Mt. Airy NC

The Whippoorwill Cabin is situated in the North Carolina Foothills, conveniently located near Mount Airy (aka Mayberry), Blue Ridge Parkway, Yadkin Valley Wine Trail, wineries, vineyards, Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks, Primland Reserve and much more.
The Whippoorwill Cabin is a unique getaway unlike any other cabin rental or B&B that you have visited in the past. The cabin is situated on the rolling hills of a forty-acre farm perched above a large fish pond that offers scenic water views out of the open great room. We are located about 10 minutes north of Mt. Airy off of Highway 103.

Breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Sunrises and sunsets over the pond and hills and forests were stunning. The cabin felt brand new, everything worked great, beds were excellent, and the huge front porch and rocking chairs put you right in that North Carolina country “kick back and relax” feeling. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is right there and we cruised up and down the parkway to vineyards, gift shops, antique shops, and restaurants. What a fun week we had. We sure hope to be back some day.

The cabin was exactly as described, clean and extremely well stocked with everything we needed. The host was very receptive to our questions and check-in was great. We had a very relaxing, peaceful time visiting with our family. We loved seeing the deer! We look forward to staying here again in the future :)

We had a great long weekend. This is a fabulous place. We fished and laid in the sun and had a relaxing weekend. We have stayed in many places from the coast to the mountains and this by far is our favorite place. We are looking to book again for our anniversary before years over.

What an amazing place! The cabin was clean and cozy, making our stay very comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the fire pit and the pond, and we appreciated how well maintained the lawn and grounds were. We will definitely be back!

I have rented a few vrbo and this was by far my best experience I've ever had. The location was great, the cabin was very well kept and clean. And the only thing the host could have done to make it better would have been to cook and serve our meals. Thank you so much whippoorwill girls

Loved the Pond

This was our second visit to Whippoorwill Cabin and it continues to be amazing. My son and I had a great time fishing and visiting downtown Mt. Airy.

We love Whippoorwill Cabin!

We always enjoy our visits to Whippoorwill. My husband and brother in law really enjoyed fishing in the pond. My sister and I loved relaxing on the porch watching the wildlife and cows, and listening to the birds. I know we’ll be back for another visit.

We love this place. This is our 3rd visit to this cabin; two by ourselves and one with grandchildren. We have never been disappointed with our stay. The fishing is great. We caught at least 14 catfish. We went to Pilot Mountain for the Hot Night cruise-in. If you love pumpkin - the little ice cream shop in town has a wonderful pumpkin spice milkshake. We also visit Mayberry each time we go. There are a number of small shops in town. We will be going again. Thanks to Evon who is the POC for this location.
