Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison pleine de charme, avec des prestations de qualité, idéalement située, avec ce jardin somptueux. Nous remercions chaleureusement notre hôte pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Ce séjour sera à refaire, sans aucune hésitation.

Merveilleux séjour

Excellent séjour, tres belle villa et jardin magnifique en bord de mer. Formalités faciles pour l'arrivée et le départ, literie confortable, clim un vrai plus vu la chaleur et mobilier moderne. Seule surprise, nous n'avions pas compris que nous ne serions pas seuls dans la maison car le haut etait occupé (pas très explicite dans l'annonce) et que nous devrions nous organiser avec les autres locataires pour la place de parking. Malgré cela, tout s'est bien passé et nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce sejour.

Good

Location on the beach is excellent and garden is outstanding. First, the "check in" was difficult, as there was very little instructions in advance. In addition, there is no sort of instructions that I could find that are typical in VRBOs to tell you how to run everything in the house (TV, stove, AC...). The setup of the place, as other reviewers have mentioned, is really odd. If you are sleeping in the "master" space, you may have to walk through a shared space (with other renters), then through one of the two bedrooms in the house to get to the kitchen and living room. It was okay for us, but for some this may be awkward. Some of the keys we just couldn't get to work, so the house stayed unlocked most of the time. In addition, there are cameras all over the house, including internally that we place towels over. The owner ensured us these were only for when it was unoccupied, but we were still paranoid about it and covered them. We had no air conditioning except for a small portable which was ineffective. However, someone came the day we checked out to install new AC, so this shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Wonderful situation

Beautiful spot, very convenient and quiet, with lovely views. Very friendly hosts and welcome. Unfortunately our heating was not working but our hosts made a second flat available for our showers and the fireplace worked, thankfully!

Wunderschömer Aufenthalt

Wir haben mehrere Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbracht. Die Lage und die sehr freundliche Betreuung durch die Vermieterin waren perfekt. Es hätte nicht schöner sein können. Wer kurze Wege ans Meer und in den lebendigen Ort liebt und trotzdem die Ruhe im grossen Garten oder auf der herrlichen Terrasse genießen will, der ist hier richtig.

Beautiful apartment in tHe perfect location

We couldn’t have been happier with property. We stayed in the ground floor apartment and the garden was absolutely perfect, plenty of space and shade; and on the beach. Christina was the perfect host, she was always available via WhatsApp and she really made us feel welcome. We would definitely book this apartment again if we went back to Platja D’Aro

Des vacances les pieds dans l’eau

Une situation Idéale avec un accès direct à la plage ! Un jardin clos et arboré idéal pour les enfants. Playa d’aro est vraiment très animé, beaucoup d’activités possibles. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour!

Disappointed

This property which is totally misrepresented on Vrbo website. The property is on two levels which can, we understand, be let separately. Before booking we asked the owner if the quoted price was ‘for the whole property’ and received a reply affirming this. On that basis we made this booking. On arrival we contacted the owner only to be told the upper level was private and not part of the rental. The website clearly shows many pictures of the upper level. Owner has been living in the upper level whilst we were here - had we known this would be the case we would absolutely NOT have rented this property. The lower level only allowed access from the hallway to the living space by walking through one of the bedrooms. The other main bedroom was separate from the rest of area, had no central heating and looked out on to the car parking area. The property was advertised with parking but we had to keep in touch with the owner to ensure space was available when we needed it. On several occasions parking was not available as the owner’s visitors parked there. The weather was unseasonably cold but the central heating was unreliable - we had to contact the owner a number of times to reset the boiler as this was located in the ‘private‘ upper level. In addition it seemed to be set to a low temperature and switched on at strange times. Satellite TV was supposed to be available but none of the channels available had been subscribed to and so no TV was available to watch. We were surprised not to have a ‘welcome pack’ with some basic supplies - we arrived late evening due to flight delays and would have appreciated this. Also missing was basic information about the property, how to operate appliances etc. The oven was operated by navigating through computer style menus all in Spanish! Communication with the owner was unfortunately a little difficult as we spoke no Spanish - we made do with pidgin French and Google Translate! Despite all this the location of the property is ideal but it is not 5*, with care and attention it could be! All in all this was not the property or experience we expected and had paid for. It has proved impossible to contact Vrbo to feed back this information hence the lengthy review!

Urlaub bei Cristina 18-31.07.21

Wir sind mit dem Aufenthalt in dieser Erdgeschosswohnung (im Inserat bei FeWo etwas übertrieben als "Villa" bezeichnet) sehr zufrieden gewesen. Imponiert die hervorragende Lage direkt am Strand mit dem Vorteil im mit Palmen, Kakteen und Hiazinten gezierten Vorgarten des lässigen Outfits zu frühstücken, der unmittelbaren Nähe zur Promenade mit der Möglichkeit abends im exbelibigen Restaurant mit Ausblick zum Meer das Essen und den guten Wein zu genießen, der Nähe zu der Kaufstrasse, und dem Nachteil dass manche Passanten voyeuristisch werden können. Die Wohnung hat gute Atmosphere der Gemütlichkeit, Wärme. Die Besitzerin des Hauses Cristina ist sehr sympatisch, des guten Herzens und immer freundlich gewesen. Wir haben uns gefühlt wie Zuhause, gut erholt und freuen uns auf baldiges Wiedersehen.

As the saying goes, "location, location, location". It is perfect. Right on the beach front. A 3 minute stroll to the main street but so quiet with no noisy passing traffic. Large space inside and out. Private parking on site. We would go back.

A hidden gem

What a wonderful time we had enjoying our secure gated 5 day oasis on this ocean beach property. Lots of room. Everyone slept well. Not normal for us. Fashionably appointed, and clean. We had so much to do around Costa Brava, we never turned on the TV to search for an English station. Cristina was always available via text with answers to our questions and even showed up 30 minutes after we texted her with a handyman who got the clothes washer going for us, and instructed us on how to use the oven/stove. Yep the stove. We all use gas and of course it was electric. But we adapted. Lots of shops in town. Nice promenade for people watching both on the Main Street and of course the boardwalk right in front of the property. The walled enclosure gave us our privacy when we wanted to chill. The patio was great along viewing the sunrises. Thanks Cristina.

Wunderbare 20 Strandtage

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern 1 und 4 Jahre alt, für 20 Tage in Christinas Haus. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Die Lage des Hauses könnte kaum besser sein. In die „Stadtmitte“ sind es rund 100 Meter und zum Strand wahrscheinlich weniger als 10 Meter. Der sehr schön angelegte Garten lädt zum verweilen ein. Jeden Abend saßen wir im Garten und haben die lauen Sommernächte genossen, während unsere Kinder schliefen. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, es fehlte uns an nichts. Christina war immer sehr Hilfsbereit wenn es um Ausflugstipps oder Fragen zum Haus ging. Sie war stets erreichbar für uns. Wenn man mal keine Lust auf den Strand direkt am Haus hat, gibt es in ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg einige Buchten die unglaublich schön sind. Hätten wir so toll ehrlich gesagt nicht erwartet. Für uns sicher nicht der letzte Besuch in Christinas Haus. Die Aufteilung der Wohnung ist wie folgt. 1 Zimmer mit Doppelbett und Dusche ist durch den Flur des Hauses getrennt. In der anderen Wohnung ist ein Doppelzimmer, ein Kinderzimmer mit Stockbett, ein Wohnzimmer mit Sofa, ein Badezimmer, eine Essküche. Durch den Wintergaten ist es zu jeder Tageszeit sehr hell in der Küche und im Wohnzimmer. Danke für den schönen Urlaub. Grüße, René, Sarah, Selma & Carla
