My husband and I booked this cabin for us and 3 adult children and our wonderful dog for a weekend stay. The house was absolutely amazing and clean. We enjoyed fires in the enormous fire pit every evening and the gorgeous Penns Creek right in the backyard! The landscaping was beautiful. The cabin was well thought out. You could tell this house was a labor of love. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay here and it was amazing. It's so beautiful and peaceful. Kids loved to fish, swim and kayaking. Will definitely be staying again.

My girlfriend was hesitant on going because of the “compost toilet”. Don’t let that discourage you from booking. She said it was perfect and nothing like she thought it was going to be like. The nature, wildlife etc etc was phenomenal and 100% worth it. John was great and informative. He was happy to help if anything went wrong. Appreciate him opening up his cabin up to us to enjoy. Definitely will be back.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Everything you could need is there. Pet friendly is a huge plus, our pup loved it! It is so peaceful by the water. John was super friendly and we can’t thank them enough for sharing this space. We can’t wait to visit again!

The hosts are fantastic and very easy to deal with. We found the cabin to be perfect in all ways. We really enjoyed the serenity and the wildlife. Looking forward to our next stay at this place.

My husband and I had such a nice time and our dogs had so much fun exploring. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, fishing, playing pool and relaxing. The CD collection was great and you could really feel all of the love that the owners put into the cabin. We’ll remember this trip and hopefully will return soon!

The 3 days we spent at cot n munch was fantastic! Location is secluded and perfect for fishing. John couldn’t have been more attentive and kind during our time there. If I could’ve stayed forever I would’ve!

I really needed a nervous system reset and Cot 'n Munch more than delivered. Every night I was sung to sleep by the frogs and crickets and woken by the birds. I had plenty of space to spread out and make art on the enclosed porch while looking at the creek. I started each morning drinking coffee and searching for my heron friend and ended the days with a fire in the fire ring. The beds were super comfy as well.Knowing that the cabin composts and reduces water waste added to my enjoyment of the place. I did a tiny bit of exploring as I had to pick up my friend at the train station in Lewistown, but mostly just watched moonlight on the creek and lazed around in the sun. Wendy and John were very responsive and John came by to personally show me how the cabin worked. It's clear that this place is a labor of love and I feel lucky to have gotten to be a part of it.

Cabin is more than adequate for Men/ Boys. No regular toilet, only compost toilet and no interior showers or bath. Showers were in a seperate building 20 feet away.

Great location, even with water levels where they were, there were a couple holes within 50 yards of the cabin that held fish.

2 adults, 3 kids. The cabin was such a nice experience. SO clean. We spent most of our time in the creek outside and by the fire area. The water felt bath water warm. We only had to bring ourselves, clothes and food. I loved there were pots already and other eating utensils, paper plates etc. Loved the outdoor shower house, loved the self composting toilet (inside). We could drink the well water so didn’t even need to pack water! There is a neighbor and you just have to be mindful not to let your dog wander over. We talked with them a bit and they seemed nice. There’s plenty of space outside. Easy communication with the host. 10/10 recommend!!
