Cozy cottage on Cedar Lake

Experience lake life at its best at this cozy lakeside retreat. The cabin is located only 50 minutes from the twin cities on Cedar Lake. If you enjoy amazing sunsets, good fishing or water activities this is the place to be! You will find great lake views from the cabin, an expansive outdoor deck and a new 96' aluminum dock to put you where the fishing is best. One of our favorite activities that you will likely want to do is get in the water and enjoy the fun by walking, paddling or floating to the nearby sunken sandbar island where folks gather to chat and play.
The cabin has 1 bedroom on the main floor with queen size bed, a loft with 2 twin beds and a full-size pull out in the living area. The cabin has one bathroom, large dining area, comfortable living room with TV, and a kitchen that is fully equipped for all your cooking needs ( Gas grill included). For those that need extra space, included is the boat house that has a wonderful view of the lake from its living space (less than 20' away), and full over twin bunk beds.

Rental includes, a fire pit, two paddle boards, two kayaks, canoe (21'), corn hole, giant jenga, and many other games for your entertainment .

Lake Information:
Cedar Lake is a 1120 acre lake located in Polk, Saint Croix Counties. It has a maximum depth of 32 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. Fish include Musky (common), Panfish (present), Largemouth Bass (Present), Northern Pike (common) and Walleye (abundant). The lake's water clarity is low.

It did get warm till the afternoon best little vacation we had

An excellent place to relax, decompress, enjoy the scenery and the lake. Had good food on the barbecue and it was close to everything . Love the little town . Very comfortable cabin. We enjoyed this very much and hoping we will be back.

We had a great time and enjoying lake life this week! The cabin was very clean and the boat house was the perfect hangout for my kids! We have decided we need to make this an annual trip:) Would highly recommend this little piece of heaven.

Family getaway

The cabin is in a perfect spot to get away and relax. It is close to the sandbar and has all the amenities needed. There are kayaks, paddle boards and games. The boathouse is awesome for extra sleeping and has a beautiful window to view the lake. The host is very accommodating. We recommend and will rent again!

Cedar Lake Getaway

Great cabin and bunk house along with a large lot on beautiful Cedar Lake. Check in was great, the owner met and went over how to use the pontoon boat and had it all clean and gassed up for us. The large deck overlooking the lake is where we spent all of our time when we weren't fishing (which is you like crappies) was amazing. Kitchen is easy to cook in and had everything we need. Owner are so helpful and the cabin and bunk house are great. Thank you again.

Great Lake cabin!

This cabin provided us with everything that we could have imagined. It was a truly authentic lake cabin, with all the modern conveniences. There was plenty of outdoor space to play and relax. The lake was beautiful, morning coffee on the dock was the best. We hope to come again in the future!! Rent this cabin, your family will thank you!!

Best week of the summer!

What an amazing place to stay! Cozy cottage and boat house! The boathouse was great for our older 2 kids and the loft was a fun adventure for the younger ones! The kids were out on the paddleboat and over to the sandbar as often as they got a chance! There were more activities to do than we had time to get to. The appliances were nicer than our own. And there were enough chairs to have family visit during the day. The only problem I had was with the toaster burning things. Our 4 kids kept finding more fun activities to do from indoor and outdoor games, to books and movies, and fun lake toys! The owners were always quick to communicate and were helpful and gracious…even when we reported breaking a window...Merle eased our nerves by assuring the VRBO insurance would cover it, which it did. We can't wait to return to this special place!

Great accommodation!

Owners were great at keeping us updated prior to our stay as well during. The cabin was an excellent fit for our get together including the bunk house. Had easy access to the lake via the cabin or public landing.

Too late in the season to fish from dock, too old to paddle out deep. Water is extremely shallow for a long distance, but young ones will love it.

Great girl’s getaway

Lovely view of the lake. The no work kept all off of their phones and engaged in conversation. Loft was not easy to access for the older gals but there was plenty of sleeping space downstairs for everyone.

Perfect Get Away

This was a great cabin for a quick get away for my wife and I. Cabin was clean and well laid out. The lake was and the area offered lots of options for hiking and exploring. Will for sure put this on the list for a return trip!

Great getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Our grandkids loved the loft, the toys, games and movies. Grandma and grandpa loved the view, the peaceful setting, the big deck, the many water toys and how well equipped the cabin is. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Wonderful

My family of six loved the cabin! It was a short 3 night stay which was perfect. The kids all loved the kayaks, paddle boards & paddle boat. Our 7 & 9yo liked staying in the loft, almost like a little fort or hideaway! Our two teens liked the boathouse - very nice like their own little apartment! Well kept, clean, lots of movie options for night (had to explain what dvd’s were to our youngest! 😅) Sunrises & Sunsets were beautiful. Gorgeous view of the lake from cabin. Neighbors were close but quiet. The sandbar was fun to kayak to, my cousin met us one day with his boat & took us around the lake & tubed. Kids enjoyed that! Overall great experience - many wonderful memories & hoping to be back next year! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Had a great stay, great having the extra sleeping/living space in the boathouse

Younger adult kids were able to stay up as late as they wanted watching movies etc in the finished boat house with out bothering those who go to sleep earlier. Everything was as expected with no problems.

Peaceful tranquil & well organized

Great summer getaway for me, my daughter and her family. All the water toys we wanted. Well organized inside the cabin and love the bunk house. Owner was easy to contact. Wasn't able to use the ultra light Canoe because it had a small hole on the side and we let him know about it. Applied gorilla tape. Overall a great cabin & property.

Great Summer Vacation

The Cozy Cabin exceeded our expectations. It was clean and comfortable. Our family loved using the kayaks and canoe to go out to the sandbar and sunbathe where the water was clear and cool! The weather was in the upper 90s, but the breeze off the lake made it very pleasant outside. Inside we did appreciate that the A/C worked well! Their game collection is great. The outdoor bags game and giant jenga were a hit too. Reading out on the deck in the morning listening to the loons was amazing. Lots of shady areas and great trees to hang the hammocks they provide. Best cabin we've ever stayed at! Would definitely go back. Thanks for sharing your cabin.

We, are a crazy busy family of four that absolutely enjoy staying at our cabin year around with our young kids, friends and family. Having a cabin on a lake less than an hour from our twin cities house was a dream for both my wife and I since we were married. We both really enjoy water sports, and before we purchased our cabin cherished every opportunity we had to spend in or on the water. Since purchasing the cabin we have spent nearly every summer weekend here to relax, get-away and have fun with the kids and during spring, fall and winter we visit as often as our busy schedule allows. We enjoy it here so much, we hope to some-day make this a place we can ultimately retire and relax.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We loved the size and functions of Cedar lake and with the close proximity of the cabin and bunkhouse to the lake it offers great views and sunsets. The cabin has a nice level lot meaning NO steps or hills to the dock or lake. Directly in front of the cabin and off the end of the dock, the water depth is only 27" deep with a comfortable sandy bottom creating a great place for children to play while being supervised from the deck. Lastly, the cabin is situated towards the end of the point meaning a low traffic road, which was a benefit while children play on the driveway.

Close to the cities, but not overly known (or busy) - this is a convenient get-away from our normal "city" life that has truly let us focus on having fun family time. We have enjoyed spending time at the sunken sandbar - as it is a unique gathering place for relaxing, meeting others, or catching a game of water volleyball. The restaurant on the lake has let us be lazy, on occasion when we don't want to cook. Lastly, the flat lot, has allowed for endless hours of yard games, lake-side campfires, and sunset viewing.
