We had a wonderful stay! Host was very communicative with quick responses. The house is lovely and has everything you need and more. Beautifully decorated and maintained.

Coming from Paris, France, we had an amazing stay despite the rain. The house has absolutely everything you may want/need.The house is cosy, located at walking distance from the center of Woodstock, closed to everything. The garden made, using the ancient method of dry key constructions, reminded me the work done by Harvey Fite that you can visit at Opus 40.We also enjoyed the visit of 3 does one evening.Peter is a great host and the communications before and during the stay were very useful and informative.

This charming cottage, so thoughtfully furnished and stocked, is perfectly located for super-close strolls along Woodstock’s beloved Tinker Street and excursions to spectacular nearby trails, as well as explorations further afield in the Hudson River Valley. And if you’d really rather put your feet up, the cottage has delightful nooks and crannies, indoors and out. David, the host, is extremely responsive and has lots of helpful local advice. His care is evident in all aspects of Tannery Brook. My husband and I spent two weeks here and our two adult children also visited. Entirely independently, they each declared Tannery Brook ‘a real find’ - and I agree!

Peaceful cottage

David's place is a super cute, well maintained cottage in a peaceful location. It is a perfect location for exploring Woodstock on foot. Also, we had a couple of issues come up on our end, and David was very considerate. Highly recommend for stays in the area!

Great stay in town

Great stay in downtown Woodstock. Location couldn’t be better. You can walk to bread alone, watering hole in millbrook, and anywhere in town. House is well air conditioned for summer, and is a peaceful base for your Woodstock visit. Recommended.

Beautiful weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at the home. It was so cozy yet quite roomy. The decor is wonderful and so very tastefully done. Everything one needs for a comfortable stay is provided. Easily walkable to town and all the wonderful things Woodstock has to offer. We highly recommend this property!

Jill and her husband know Woodstock well and are planning to buy a house in the area. They chose to stay at Tannery Brook Cottage for a few days of intense house hunting. Jill was easy to communicate with during booking and her stay. They enjoyed the house and took very good care of it. There was no problem delaying check out for a couple of hours. Jill left the house in excellent condition and ready for the house cleaners. I’m happy to recommend Jill and her husband to other VRBO host without reservation. They are terrific guests and I’d be happy to have them as guests at Tannery Brook Cottage again.

Stunning and beautifully designed home steps away from the heart of Woodstock and all it has to offer. David and Mauricio could not have been more helpful, thoughtful or generous as hosts. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Woodstock.

Cozy and charming

What a fantastic place to stay! The owner did a great job renovating the house. The screened-in porch is a highlight. It's situated so that you can hear the running water from the outside garden making it a relaxing and peaceful place to spend some time. The outdoor grill is in a good spot near the kitchen, and the fire pit is a great place to spend a chilly evening or afternoon. The inside of the house has a lot of nice touches (a skylight in the shower in the downstairs bathroom), and the owner stocks the house with almost every supply you would need (tea, napkins, toothpaste, towels, etc.). It doesn't feel like your typical internet rental where you're staying in someone's everyday house. It feels like it was made for a nice upstate getaway. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend staying here!

Joe and his family are the kind of guests that VRBO hosts should wish for. Joe was friendly and easy to communicate with about Tannery Brook Cottage. Together we solved a couple of issues with booking the house and details of how various appliances work. He was very kind to help with a couple of property matters and let us water the house plants during his stay. Joe and his family sampled some of the things that Woodstock and the nearby areas have to offer, including hiking to the top of Overlook Mountain. They took good care of the house during their stay and left it in good order to be readied for this weekend’s visitors. It would be a great pleasure to host Joe and his family at Tannery Brook Cottage on their next trip to Woodstock. I highly recommend them to other VRBO hosts.

A perfect gem

We stayed at the adorable Tannery Brook for 11 days while celebrating three milestones - two anniversaries and a birthday. David's house did not disappoint. Tannery Brook ticked all of our boxes, leaving us with several air-conditioned rooms in which to spread out, and every amenity thought of in advance. We've never stayed at a home that was quite so stocked with everything from fresh toothbrushes wrapped in plastic in the bathrooms, to cappuccino pods in the kitchen. The terraced backyard was beautiful and unique. It boasted several sitting areas, a fire pit, and a running waterfall. Best of all, we were less than a block away from the flea market held every Saturday and Sunday in Woodstock. David and his partner checked in on us a few times throughout the week, without hovering at all, and we had the good fortune to meet them for dinner one evening. They were both as charming as Tanney Brook Cottage and were the little icing on the cake that was our vacation. We can definitely see going back.

This is a beautiful home. Everything was perfect. the house has a full house generator which really came in handy during the Nor' easter and power outage! communication with the host was exceptional. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful time. The house is incredibly clean and has everything you could possibly need. I recommend this home 100%!Janet

Wonderful cottage in a wonderful town

Tannery Brook Cottage was just as nice as advertised in its VRBO photos. The house was fully stocked with linens, paper products, kitchen utensils and appliances, cleaning products, etc. We lacked for nothing. Everything was neatly organized and very clean. The dinner table had been set when we arrived, and David, our host, had placed a bottle of Prosecco in the refrigerator for us. The location was excellent, only a short walk to the heart of Woodstock. David was a terrific host. He provided us with detailed information about restaurants, shops, activities, and even swimming holes. He was immediately responsive to all of our inquiries. In short, we loved our stay and highly recommend the Cottage as a great home away from home.

Meredith and her family were marvelous guests at Tannery Brook Cottage. The booking was easily arranged on the VRBO website. Over their long stay Meredith and I communicated regularly about various matters. She and her family enjoyed Exploring Woodstock and liked the cozy house. They followed House Rules to a tee. When it came time to check out Meredith left the house in good shape and ready to be cleaned for the next guests. She and her family would be most welcome to stay at Tannery Brook Cottage when they visit the Catskills again. I highly recommend Meredith and her family to other VRBO hosts.

Great two weeks

We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful house. Everything about it and the landscaping we’re perfect for the two of us. We could enjoy lunches outdoors and walk to everything in Woodstock with ease. David was quick to respond to our questions and yet was not “in our faces” while there. I hope we get to visit again.

Harriet and her husband were wonderful guests at Tannery Brook Cottage. They arranged the booking through the VRBO website. We exchanged information about the house and Woodstock and the surround area easily. During their stay they explored Woodstock from one end of Town to the other, even discovering a local pie maker. Harriet and her husband left the house in good order, ready for the cleaning crew to get it ready for the next guests. Whenever they decide to return to the Catskills, I would be very pleased to welcome them back to Tannery Brook Cottage.
