Wonderful location, close walk to the beach, and LOVED the private beach and covered dock out back. Will stay here again

We have heard from many guests over the years that they appreciate that the dock is totally covered, providing perfect sunshade while fishing, or just hanging out! The hubby had so much fun fishing off of the dock, which was on the bayside. The walk (or drive) to the private gulf side beach was super quick (about a 5 minute walk). I truly couldn’t say which view was better, either especially at sunrise and sunset. We did not bring dogs but definitely set up for ease of care for dogs. Communication with the host was super fast, helpful and friendly. You can’t go wrong with this property. The husband and I are planning on returning we enjoyed it so much.

We totally love it when special guests like you enjoy everything about Pelican House, aka FishBones. We know that easy access to BOTH beaches is important. That's why we bought this particular property. And, thanks for your compliment about Pelican being well set up for dogs, eventhough you did not bring any pooches along. You are the best...come back soon !

We enjoyed our stay. The location is great and the house was clean. It wasnice having a front and back porch to enjoy staying out of the sun or watching for the sunset.

Great stay!

Perfect sized house for 7 of us. Gorgeous views from inside the house. Very convenient location being on the bay side but super short walk across the street to the gulf beach.

Darling property on the bay side of Dauphin Island.The hostess was above and beyond in her communications prior to the stay. Made me feel like I was staying at a friend's place at the beach.Will stay there again.

Loved the private beach!

We had a great stay. Property was as described and a great location- private beach on the bay and just a short walk to the gulf. Our dog loved the water access to swim and play.

Wonderful visit

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We had tons of space and gorgeous views! Dauphin Island was very relaxing and everyone is so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely house, super location, wonderful to have a private dock. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed the garden and the beach. The house had everything we needed. Deborah, the rental agent, was fantastic. There were a couple of small issues and she fixed them immediately - seriously excellent customer service and a lovely lady. We look forward to returning next year.

Nice Property

House was very nice. I would suggest getting some better kitchenware and some boards need to be replaced on the deck but other than that it was a very nice stay

Thanks for your recent review - glad you enjoyed our lovely home. We did buy and have new kitchen ware, but unfortunately it wasn't brought over to you the day we prepped the house for your arrival. A few days away

Comfortable, clean, quiet place to chill away from the daily grind. The private dock on the sound and the short walk to the gulf are very pleasant.

Great weekend getaway

Nice location on Dauphin Island's West End. The private beach and dock were lovely. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. Lots of extra blankets and nice comfy beds.

Relaxing and peaceful

Our stay at Fishbones was just what we had hoped for, relaxing, peaceful, and fun! The house was in a great area. We loved how pet-friendly the house was.

Beautiful location

Absolutely perfect beach area, humans and dogs loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back. Some good restaurants close to you and several pet friendly. Just a relaxing vacation

Great!

Dock was great - nice beach and nice yard. Home was large and had very comfortable King sized beds. Communication with host/property manager was thorough. Nice place.

Wonderful

As advertised! Great views! Good proximity to the gulf Beach. Perfect vacation for our family! Island is very laid back which we loved! Will definitely go back and would recommend to anyone!

We loved this place. The dock was our favorite. We spent most of our time sitting on the dock fishing and talking. I caught many fish including founder right off the dock. The views were spectacular. Would recommend to anyone wanting to relax and get away from a busy life. The house met all of our needs including preparing food that we caught. I would definitely revisit. The host was amazing and incredibly available when needed. Wonderful vacation.

Great vacation.

House was great ! Didnt want to leave . Our dogs loved it they didnt want to leave either . Access to beach was very close and easy. Pier on bay side was great for fishing.fishing ..Pei

Last minute off-season

We decided to go to Dauphin Island on a last minute whim and found the perfect place to stay at Fish Bones. Check in was a breeze, the place was well equipped for our pup and the view was so relaxing. I would recommend staying here.
